There are much more sane and reasonable people who own guns than crazies.

Let the sane ones protect the public from the crazies.facts of lifenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21519732.post-69471014753568257052012-12-20T10:20:34.927-05:002012-12-20T10:20:34.927-05:00When my father was a Dean in a Coney Island Junior...When my father was a Dean in a Coney Island Junior High, he carried two knives with him, concealed, every day. I remember those knives. Neither was a pen knife and both could hurt you badly. My father was a combat veteran, Korea, and didn't mind working in a tough school, in a tough neighborhood. His colleagues knew he had the knives and didn't mind at all. He would have never carried a gun, though. I suppose it was because he knew, first hand, what an assault rifle was capable of shooting into the night and finding the North Korean and Chinese Communist bodies the morning after. Guns don't belong in schools, schools aren't war zones, and they certainly shouldn't be carried by teachers. Let schools hire off-duty cops for security. I have a name for them in NY, if they want it. Plenty of retired cops would find it a privilege to work a school. God bless the teachers. God bless the kids. Boruchnoreply@blogger.com
