"I accuse our Orthodoxy for sleeping the sleep of Choni Ha’maagil who slept seventy years. Orthodoxy sleeps, how much longer?"

I was not able to interview the alleged, accused UOJ tonight due to his schedule. He did agree to speak with me in length some time this week. In the few minutes that we did speak, he referred me to the article below, published in the 1930's. He suggested that I post it on my blog for the world to see. He made two quick points when I asked him why the Establishment "chose" to make him the big bad UOJ? He responded with the following, and I paraphrase in my own words:

1-He fairly recently aggressively challenged a renown posek about a psak that was ill-researched, totally incorrect as to the mechanics of the procedures involved, and reckless as to the potential huge financial losses to Orthodox Jews globally for no halachic reason. It took him months to get the posek to reverse himself and to publicize his error. This gentleman subsequently was interviewed by The Wall St. Journal and was harshly criticized by many Establishment rabbis for talking to the secular media.

2- This gentleman was a very outspoken advocate to the "Gedolim" on behalf of Rabbi Nosson Slifkin. He challenged the Gedolim/cherem signers, to reconcile R' Slifkin's views with the views of many prominent rabbonim including the Rambam. He did get one "Gadol" to admit that "perhaps" this matter/cherem should have been handled differently. He was so incensed that this young rabbi's life was in shambles (at the time-he is doing well now), that he considered publishing Rabbi Slifkin's writings at his own expense. His rav urged him not to go forward with those plans and he did not.

He obviously is well-connected with the Yeshiva Velt if he was able to accomplish the above. What is also obvious to me that he is now being threatened with "punishment" (he could care less) because he stepped out of line.

UOJ (the authentic one)

The following article appeared many years ago (April 20, 1923) in "Dos Yiddish Licht", founded by the saintly Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l for the purpose of strengthening the observance of mitzvos, and to arouse the public concerning kashrut of foods, which at that time was very neglected, and sadly is not any better in our day and age.

The author was the great gaon and tzaddik, the "Shlucha D'Rachmona" of his generation, the "architect" of true Torah values in America, Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l, the founder of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath and Torah U'Mesorah.

(Translated from the Yiddish)

"And if I say: "I will not make mention of him nor speak anymore in his name" then there is in my heart a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I weary myself to hold it in, but cannot (Ver. 20:29)

I use the above prophetic words as a preface to my article concerning kashrus, because this article will not bring honor to me. On the contrary, I will be attacked with ridicule from all sides. But what can I do? A fire is burning within me, and within a thousand Jews like me... A fire, which cannot be extinguished.

The kashrus question has recently been discussed in the Yiddish press, but only one side of the question, viz. concerning the unscrupulous butchers who sell treifos without a hechsher or with a false one. The press has remained silent, however, concerning the second side of the question, about the treifos being sold under rabbinical supervision and under rabbinical signs in butcher shops.

The press is silent about this problem, perhaps because of the honor of the rabbis, or, perhaps, because of other reasons. The honor of the rabbis is dear to me too. But, the honor of the Torah which is lying in the garbage, and the honor of the truth, which is trodden under foot, are dearer to me. Where there is chillul Hashem we do not impart honor to a rabbi, I, therefore come forward with an accusation.

I Accuse!

I accuse many rabbis, who grant hechsherim, who knowingly or otherwise, or out of neglect, permit non-kosher meat to be sold under their stamp of approval both wholesale and retail; the seller is an unscrupulous person with Torah sanction.

I accuse many rabbis, who although they themselves have no part in the hechsherim, nevertheless, know about them and still remain silent. There is a sort of mutual reciprocal agreement to keep quiet about each other's false hechserim. Perhaps it is because they wish to avoid chillul Hashem. They forget, however, that where there is chillul Hashem we do not impart honor to a rabbi.

I accuse the very great rabbis, the leaders of our people, because of internal strife. These disputes are not for the sake of Heaven; if one says that something is prohibited the other must say it is permissible, if one says something is contaminated the other must say it is pure. It is impossible to bring order to the chaotic kashrus situation, especially the chicken and meat markets.

I accuse
the rabbis because of whose negligence; the laws of chalav akum have virtually been forgotten. I know that there various heterim for this, but they apply only when it is impossible to get chalav Yisrael. In our situation, however, with a little effort, order could be brought to this chaos, and "if one can be good, why should he be bad?"

I accuse our Orthodoxy, for sleeping the sleep of Choni Ha'maagil, who slept seventy years. They are completely unaware of what is happening around them and how our strongest ramparts are being smashed by our internal foes. They are unaware that all our holy traditions are being trampled underfoot, that our three thousand year old heritage has all but completely disappeared. Yet, Orthodoxy sleeps, but how much longer?

Do you know that all of the fortresses of Judaism, which have heretofore protected us from destruction, the only one left is kashrus, that other mitzvos are observed very laxly even in Orthodox homes? And now kashrus too is being smashed, yet we sleep, but how much longer?

Don't you see what has become of your youth? Don't you know that Jewish children have become tramps, gamblers, gangsters, candidates for the electric chair, and all kinds of "ISTS", only because they have been raised on neveilos and treifos, yet you sleep, but how much longer?

Don't you know that going to the mikvah every day to purify yourself will be to no avail? Not even all the waters in the world can help, not with sheretz tamei (a carcass of a creeping thing) in your hand, but inside of you! And when you daven every morning and evening, or when you learn your daily shiur, don't you know that the breath that emanates from your mouth is the breath of sin because it reeks of neveilos and treifos!? Yet you sleep, but how much longer?

When you wash your hands for bread, or when you make Kiddush on Shabbos, and your table is bedecked with all sorts of delicacies, and you say with each bite, in honor of the Shabbos, you are angering Hashem when you break bread. Yet you sleep, but how much longer?

I know that you will reply, "Jacob is small and poor" But look what Jacob's brother on East Broadway has accomplished, how he erected a fortress through the poor laborers, a fortress against Judaism, because he has united forces. Yet you sleep and do nothing, but how much longer?

Gentlemen! Do a little soul searching and see how far you have strayed; remember that our parents have sacrificed their lives for kiddush Hashem; they allowed themselves to be burned in order to uphold our holy Torah, whereas you are not required to make any sacrifices; with but a handful you can save the situation. Yet you sleep, but how much longer?

Fellow Jews, have you no fear for the great and terrible Day of Judgment? In that day you will no longer be able to come up with excuses or with a shrug of the shoulder.

And I ask you "how much longer?" And I say, "you sleepers, awaken from your slumber!"

Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz

  1. Dear Mr, UOJ, (the real one!)

I think you would do yourself great good by apologizing to the Rabbonim that you bashed on your blog.

Nothing will happen if you will admit that you made a mistake. Since I do agree with you on the molestation issues, I think it will only strengthen your voice if you apologize and keep the Rabbonim-bashing out of the picture.

    Am I so wrong?

  3. Anonymous #1 (first commenter),

Did you even bother to read Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz's letter? Wasn't SFM just as guilty in this letter of bashing rabbonim as UOJ?

UOJ, are frummies really that dense? First they don't get your little ditty on "99% nailed" and this letter goes right over their heads. How on earth did Jews ever get the reputation of being smart? Certainly not based on these iluim.

  4. Mr T says, "those who know realize that underneath all your recent "craziness" you are scared. Your latest post reveals that (that article from the 1930's)."

Tell Mr. T. that his gedoylim cite articles from the middle ages. Are THEY scared?

The hanhola has not given reshus to you to bash them, uoj. This "craziness" has to stop. So, now you see their plan: discredit uoj as crazy. He's like all the alleged victims (you can say you are victims in private as long as you do nothing. Drop the crazy lawsuits. Don't act crazy or we'll get crazy and kill your reputation. If we had your names, we'd have started already. That's the crazy part. We're the hanhola and we're not in control. This will not do. Unacceptable. We're having a fit. We want our Mommie. "all the other garbage needs to stop.
Or you will be taken down piece by piece."

So, we ask the public, who is more credible? Who, less crazy? The fakers who represent fake frumkeit, the Agudah, a political organization and party which claims to be the only true voice of klal Yisroel, or an independent, uoj, with all his flaws?

Personally, I think uoj is the more honest of the two, but if he's off on a limb, making up stories without victims fueling the flames, the hanhola should sue him in court.

    ha ha ha.

  7. Mr. T says,

"(Re: my Daas Torah post--I hope to be speaking with someone within the next day or two)."

The heathen remarks: "Re: my daas Torah post" does this mean, "I really do represent Daas Toyrah, you see but it will take a few days for my importance to reach the moetzes? Until WE control the postal service and can afford (please send donations) to send tens of thousands of letters throughout flabush and the oylom haToyrah to defeat uoj. UOJ does not represent Klal Yisroel. We do. We have vacation homes and bungalows nearby the kodesh kedoshim at camp agoodah. Who is uoj? A dental assistant with plaque?

We control who gets plaque, but not this plague.

Vaiter, Mr. T. states, "I hope to be speaking with someone within the next day or two." What does this mean? Lame Mr. T. is an elame? But, through a miracle wrought by daas Toyreh he can speak? Naaman? Is that your name, T? Elisha? Am I crazy?

Or, like Moyshe, he's an arel sefasayim, or one of unclean lips. He doesn't say nivul peh, chas v'sholoim... but when he warns uoj that he CANNOT (in America) crusade for verified victims if responsible parties are cleaning house (does this include ytt?), Mr. T. and his rabbonim disgrace klal Yisroel. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM.

Don't stop, uoj. The forces of fake frumkeit have benefited from the herd. They tell them what to do, what they can do, and their own little world becomes the whole world for them. They are not above the law. They will find this out in court.

Are you a moiser? A mouser? Mickey?
Are you, Mr. T, dishonest, disingenous, and manipulative? Is your view Daas Toyreh? Let them place a public ad in hamoidia and yated stating their views about how we must cover up our embaressments before the court case comes so that the agoodah and the moisdois don't lose. Then, we should listen to you and what you call daas toyreh will be honest and true.

They are responsible, you see, of protecting the responsible parties. That was their responsiblity, protecting their assets and their own ass ets. No fleish? vots tzu essen?

We think you must be crazy to buck us. We think you must be crazy to say things NOBODY would dare say out loud before. You discredited a Bais Din!! Can anyone imagine this? You discredited Batei Din from the time of the Rishoynim, the 1930's (when our political party was only about 30 years old, so venerable and complete is our hold on klal yisroel throughout world history). Anyone who listens to uoj is crazy. Anyone who sounds like uoj is crazy. These thoughts, these apikorsishe machshovois raois, are crazy. We know. Nobody in Lakewood speaks this way.

What we need is the Maharal. If he were here, he could create degoylim and gedoilim, anything to save us. With daas toyreh, degoylim will tear u piece to peace. (We loved all that homeland security money. We prefer cash. Please send more so that each of gedoylim can have degoylim speak for them).

  10. For smug apologists, depositions in court cases will name even more names. The newspapers will report this. If and when that happens, will you blame uoj? Probably. Only when the corrupt own up to being wrong, when they act contritely with humility (something we don't see a lot of in tuvya's world), when they admit they may have been wrong, that they are deeply sorry if innocent people think they have or might have been hurt, that our rabbonim and roshei yeshiva are capable of admitting they can occasionally be wrong, only then does the black hat world have the right to speak.

Until then, uoj seems to be doing a pretty good job.

Heterodoxy? This deserves a blog unto itself, defining the unorthodoxy of unorthodoxjews. The moetzes will be watching, looking for something else to pounce on. Let's divert attention from the problems at hand.

  12. How do yeshivas, day schools and all other sorts of Jewish schools set tuition?

Is it based on costs, what the traffic will bear or is it based on methods that remain hidden to us common folks who have to pay highly inflated tuitions at the more modern schools?

If it is based on costs does the institution allow the parents or teachers to examine their books???? Do all teachers make the same amount of money?

How much money does the hanhala make????????

Do they buy from friends? Do they say that they must buy from local businesses no matter if it is more money? Do they say they must buy from someone of similar religious beliefs? Do they employ teachers who are making wages that would allow them to send four kids to these schools if they claim they are paying living wages?

A very nasty situation exists in ...... County where school administrators boast that they all get together each year to set tuition so that no matter what flavor school Co-ed, modern orthodox boys or modern orthodox girls parents face a similar tuition bill.

When asked for justification of this price fixing a parent was told that this is a rich New York suburban area and our parents can afford it. If they can't they can apply for financial aid.

Did the hanhola ask the local rabbinate how they should set tuition? Yeshiva tuition is known in our community as Jewish birth control.

Lenny is right and it is Publicstein who needs to learn how to read his own typing.

The Monsey beis din heard testimony from both Tendler and some of his female victims. Maybe Publicstein is confused by a statement the beis din gave to the press. The beis din said that Tendler was telling them such absurd lies, that even if they never heard eidus from the other side, it is enough to know Tendler is lying to them. Publicstein would only be technically correct during the brief period that the beis din first met Tendler, before interviewing the victims which was done later.

Now I'm not privy to all of this inside baseball. Perhaps UOJ or Tuvya's-suspected-UOJ can elucidate, but I'm pretty sure that SFM's target audience for this public letter knew exactly who "Jacob's brother on East Broadway" was. I couldn't have been going more than about 15mph. I didn't get hurt badly at all, just a deep muscle bruise on my thigh, maybe a slightly bruised rib near my sternum which I noticed about 10 miles later when I was pulling hard on the bars climbing, and I must have tried to push off from the car because my left wrist is sore to the touch.

I made sure the old guy was cool, didn't want him to have a heart attack, told him it was my fault (kinda sorta - should have been more alert about him but he did turn in front of me) and made sure the bike was okay, straightened out the brake hoods, and eventually rode away.

Meanwhile, to get this back on the topic of authority figures not doing their jobs, the cop sitting parked in the left turn lane a block north of me surveilng the no-turn-on-red intersection a block south of me didn't notice there was any kind of problem until he heard some serious nivul peh at loud volume in his direction about sitting on his ass. These guys break the law in petty ways all the time, thinking they are permitted, looking for city revenue, not traffic safety.

    Sound familiar?

He's defenseless now. His accusations of coverups of financial dishonesty (which does exist) and the retention of perverts (which appears to exist) have been PROVEN beyond a reasonable doubt by brave tuvya.

emeser temimosdiker hero that you truly are (in your mind and in the minds of your six commentators, all worthy of leadership roles in the Jewish community, in the New York City Council, the moetzes, and hmmmm, on the "boards" of your "emeser temimosdiker" moisdois who stand accused.

You have subjected uoj to ridicule. He is a laughingstock now. So am I (not uoj). You and the Agoodah win on tuvya'sblog. We lose. But, out of curiousity, let's just see what happens in court.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Let it be stated clearly that tuvya's commentators' facts are wrong. If they're wrong on basics, how can they be right about anything?

Reb Jeremy, one of tuvya's most perspicacious critics, suggests uoj's lumping of personalities is proof that his claims are spurious. But, the fact is that like the gedolylim, these names represent types. The editor probably doesn't deserve mention in the same breath as Avi Shafran, the Agoodah's master apologist, but in the spirit of the neun Teg, we all have much to apologize for, or "is it just more speculation?"

But, far from being a coward, reckless as you may sometimes be, you care more than tuvya and his cronies. They don't want to hear you bashing the baal shem tov anymore, or the tzitzisman. Promise to be good, uoj. Let peace reign over Ocean Parkway. Help Lipa this time and mebbe, he'll pay the rabbeim overtime. Look at the big picture, knesses yisroel, Yisroel Saba. Think of the next doyr who are already saying, when tatty's dead, I want to be rosh yeshiva too. Tuvya, build a yeshiva instead of a blog. Invest creatively in the Jewish future instead of tearing down what you consider to be destructive. Look what happened to the Bais haMikdash because of sinas chinam. UOJ's agenda isn't for chinam. That' true. He did dislike the title. But the contemporary notion that he went about his business routinely being referred to as "Mr. Mendlowitz" is itself a bit of revisionist baloney. Yes there were a number of such anectdotal occasions, but his talmidim in TV routinely referred to him as "Rav Mendlowitz" in reverence for the tzadik that he was. The "Mr.Mendlowitz" personna gets a lot of play becasue it makes for good bio material. As I see it, if he didn't personally ask you not to call him Rabbi, you shouldn't take the liberty of calling him Mr.

How ridiculous and thoroughly transparent. Now the molester supporters are taking pages from the Pan Arabian play book (???)....'all we want is an appology. you've bruised our honor, our dignity. wah wah wah.'

Get a clue of what is important. Standing ceremony to defend the dubious kovod of people who should have taken action but didn't is of no help to anyone. Neither will specious demands for apologies to sooth your bruised self-image.

it's the real world they are worried about. When the internet impacts upon the real world, they shudder. They are hoping everyone has so much aimas hadin that nobody will dare tamper with their fiefdoms. This is the nonsense you refer to, their self interest.

If tuvya is an independent, seeking to whitewash the klal, he should take daas torah to heart and do teshuvah, and leave the blog world alone. This is a moshav leitzim, a makom sakkana, tinoifes, not a place for a ben toirah.

To dismiss the oylom haToyro is nonsense. They are the oylom. They have political power, financial might. They support koylelim so the wives can work. UOJ is a threat to their Amish way of living. They are the batlonim we can be proud of.

  64. As Tisha B'Av is approaching, my hatred for Joshua Fishman and Shmuel Bloom is increasing. My love for G-d and Torah is also increasing.

As somebody wrote, this isn't sinas chinam. There is sinah which is justifiable, and it is mine, and it is probably yours.

Fishman and Bloom remind of the kapos and judenrats which existed during World War II. They are traitors and collaborators.

Yes, I suppose they are somewhat different, because the evil of Fishman and Bloom is not active, it is passive. They sit on their hands, observe the child sex abuse, the destroyed children and families, and even the suicides, and are silent. But passivity and silence are also evil, as we all know.

Hannah Arendt wrote a book about Eichman. The banality of evil, she wrote. She was mostly referring to Eichman's demeanor, and his status as a bureaucrat.

Its true, Fishman and Bloom have not written any orders for the extermination of Jews, but they are also evil bureaucrats. Because they do nothing.

Their sins are enormous. They have s'micha, they have power, they access to more power, and yet, they do nothing.

F'vus? For what? Public relations. Maintaining their lily white image. Not rocking the boat. Shah, shtill, it'll go away.

Oh, how I hate them. I despise them. Their faces are so ugly. I hate their beards, I hate their black hats, I hate their dark suits. I hate their hypocracy.

Am I allowed to hate them? I think so, but I don't intend to ask any rabbi.

Now I can understand both the anti-Semitism of the Gentiles, and the hatred of the hareidi by other Jews. Its true, my friends, the hatred is justified. And I hate myself for thinking this, and saying this.

Hello, Jews. As somebody wrote, its enough. Demand change. Demand new leadership. This guys stink so badly, I can't even look at them.

    ReplyDelete
  65. they don't want you to look at them or for them. they just want to issue directives and be listened to.

shea fishman, the poisek, it's time to retire. maybe a family member can take yor place?

shmuel bloom represents the agoodah. he's not a bureaucrat. goyim are bureaucrats. he's working for the klal. Working for the klal means knowing what to say and what not to say, mostly, what not to say and knowing who to ask who will tell you what not to say. that's all anyone can say, whatever the gedoylim say. where are they, uoj?

by the way, tuv, when did pinchos ask for mechila from zimri?

UOJ, if you've done wrong, you must go away. You must. You may be jewish, but you can't be frum. Frum means being narrowminded, swallowing whole the daas Toy reh line. Frum means not going to college, unless it's for a btl. Why can't you just open a store on coney island avenue or fifteenth avenue and become one of us again? Forget the internet, you could make money and still have time to learn. Tuvya (after you make ammends) could be your chavrusa.

Can you imagine Fishman and Bloom doing the same thing?

Jew: Rabbi Fishman, children are being sexually molested in our yeshivas, and summer camps by adult Jewish men, rabbis, teachers, counselors. Some have committed suicide. How do you intend to stop it?

Rabbi Fishman: We're having a Convention for better parenting at a Connecticut hotel in a few weeks. Please come.

Jew: Rabbi Bloom, how about you, sir, what is Aguda doing?

Rabbi Bloom: We're working behind the scene very closely with askanim, important public officials, and of course, our gedolim. You'll see some things happening very soon. Please come to our Convention in November, and this may be addressed in a keynote speech.

Do people realize that yeshivas and camps by the chassidishe are much cheaper than by the litvishe?
Someone I know was whining to an adimistrator about the cost of chinuch so he snapped at him to send his kids to lubavitch (back then it used to be only $400 a year)

Parents are too blame, they should get together and create public mosdos, like MTA, RJJ, etc, but parents don't want the burden and all the pain that comes with it.

    You have recent article from:
    New York Magazine;
    Jewish Week;
    Village Voice;
    Forward.

All written by very respectable journalists. All solid articles, well researched, thought out, nicely written.

You have your blog, The Awareness Center, and activity on other blogs.

You have earlier article on abuse in Newsday, and many other general and Jewish newspapers in Baltimore, LA, NY and elsewhere.

Put a nice package together for the NY Times, introduce them to Dratch, Blau, Pasik, and let them write an article on how the Jewish organizations can't get their act together to protect their children.

Memo to Fishman and Bloom: you won't be getting a Dick Grasso retirement package. Maybe a job as director of development at Torah Temimah. Hey, you might be the first to get fingerprint. Hope you pass, shmucks.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I know one thing about Agudah, and that is they only work for the clall, not for individuals with problems. I know bec. I approached the head honcho himselfwith apersonal issue, and he said he has no time for individuals, only the clall.

    ReplyDelete
  86. To the yid who asked me whether I'm a victim, and I called this a goyishe question.

There's a tradition, as we both know, for speaking sharply at times, in yeshiva, and in emesdik conversations where there's a tachlis. Many true gedolim spoke very sharply at times.

When people speak sharply to me on such occasions, I almost always take it as a compliment, particularly from my own circle of close rabbis. It means they think enough of me that they can say emes or mussar, and not beat around the bush.

You should take my comment as a left handed compliment, also. And besides, its true. An emotionally detached person would ask, What's your interest in this? Did something happen to you, or your family? Why do you care so much? Are you a victim? They can't quite fathom how one person would care so much about another person unless they were both victims. A goyishe question.

The connection between Jews is stronger, which does not need elaboration. That's the reason for OUR fury against the Fishmans, the Blooms, and their ilk. Its as if they're no longer Jews. They're bureaucrats. They're Agudists. They're quasi-goy. Anything but Jews.

And besides, no person with an interest in this issue should be asked, Were you a victim. If he or she volunteers it, fine, but otherwise, don't ask. Its nobody's business, and if people start asking each other questions like that, it will deter other people from getting involved.

One more thing: Fishman and Bloom: Eat shit.

  97. I JUST RECEIVED THE MESSAGE BELOW FROM A CONCERNED PARENT.

THESE SAME CAMPS THAT SENT A LETTER EXPRESSING A ZERO TOLERANCE OF ANY ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR BEFORE CAMP STARTED, SEE NO CONFLICT IN ALLOWING A KNOWN PEDOPHILE TO ACCOMPANY THEIR CAMPERS TO A WATER PARK.

    OUTRAGEOUS!

    Dear Un-orthodox Jew,
I was greatly bothered that when I went to Lake Compounce on July 20 when all the frum camps rented it out that to my surprise the person running the show was none other then Yudi Kolko. I am sure none of the parents of these young campers have any idea who runs the trips but HOW CAN THE CAMPS ALLOW AND TAKE SUCH A RESPONSIBILITY TO LET THEIR CAMPERS RUN AROUND (in bathing suits) WITH A MOLESTER ON THE LOOSE? And what bothers me more is that I just got notice that he is running the park again for other camps during the second half of the summer on Aug. 9th. How can the camps be so naive to allow this? I think action must be taken and parents have to know who are running the trips their children go on. I thank you in advance for taking action and not letting this Minuvel get near our children.

Concerned parents; please contact the park and express your concerns to them. Unlike our camps and yeshivas, no responsible water park will allow an accused chronic pedophile to enter their facility.

  99. Anyone notice how enduoj's blog (enduoj.blogspot.com) and tuvyas blog use the exact same color scheme?

Coincidence? or proof that UOJ nailed it on the head when he said that End UOJ and Tuvya are one and the same?

    You decide.

  100. Liezerowitz is actively looking for a chinuch job in Israel to prove his innocence. Anybody who knows his current address in Israel is requested to post it here to keep innocent boys in Israel from falling prey to this despicable noief. We must alert his neighbors to the things he has done here. We had him on the run till now and were not about to drop the ball now. And were not going to stop till Ger apologizes and implements the safeguards undertaken by the public schools and those of other cults i.e. Christians Lutherans Methodists and Catholics. Its either this or lawsuits. Pick your poison.

  101. tuvya sought out unbiased daas torah for the oylom haToirah to rely upon. Rav Belsky is a distinguished poisek, a talmid chochom and a nice guy, who just happens to know about these problems as uoj has documented.

It's easy to say that blogging is assur, that the internet is assur, that lo sa'amoid al dam reacha works both ways. It's harder to be objective and introspective, honest and straightforward. This is only possible if one has daas toyrah, right?
