It is precisely by remaining true to our mesorah, and by our intolerance of ziyufim, that we will be zoche to the siyata diShmaya to succeed in spreading the light of the Torah, intact and unsullied by winds of change."................................................

I read Rabbi Lipschutz post on the internet with interest. My observation about it is that had the people who preach that ideology been true to their ideology, it might have worked. However, when this ideology is used as a part of supressive startegy to keep people under control, while the leadership is infested with corruption, then there is no merrit.
ReplyDeleteIn order to maintain such a society alive, you must balance (as was done in ages past) between keeping the Masoret while having some exposure to the world. Otherwise it would and it does now backfire.
There is an inherent problem with that post though! Didn't the leaders of Rabbi Lipschutz ban the internet? That means, if we believe them, that nobody should use it. There are two possibilities that could resolve this conflict, one is worse then the other:
a) The ban is only for me and you but not for the leaders as they are above all and infaliable.
b) The guy who post in the name of Rabbi Lipschutz is NOT really Rabbi Lipschutz but an impostor that is cleverly trying to destroy his reputation.
The latter possibility is bordering in the criminal and should be reported to law enforcement... Oh, how could I've forgotten, you can't do that, you must go to Beith Din. Please somebody should notify Rabbi Lipschutz immediately.
Where did he write this?
