Monday's Cholent!
Transcript of conversation that went on in scene pictured above: (The picture was in the NY Times)
Bishop Dolan: Hi, Reb Chaim Dovid. How is the molestation cover up going?
Rabbi Zweibel: Well, so far only one major lawsuit against Torah Temimah, Baruch Hashem. But people are starting to go to the police.
Dolan: Well, as long as we can make sure that the Markey Bill doesn't pass, the Statutes of Limitations should keep the molesters safe in New York. You know we have been paying a big price to protect the pedophile priests around the world. Over 3 billion dollars in settlements so far.
Zweibel: Why didn't you do something to stop this horrible scandalous situation?
Dolan: We tried. We sent the predators to therapy and switched them to new parishes.
Zweibel: You want to hear a good one? Some Jewish people are saying you should have actually gotten rid of the pedophiles!
Both of them share an intimate chuckle.
Dolan: Right, like we would ever admit that we have perverts in our church, and that we made mistakes. Don't they realize that our religion says the the Pope is infallible and therefore we can't really say we did anything wrong?
Zweibel: I know. I know. We have a doctrine called "Daas Torah". It is more recent, because traditionally Judaism gave respect to rabbis but never had a concept of Gedolim being perfect and knowing the answers to all issues. Around 1984, Reb Elya Svei and students of Rav Shach came up with this idea in order to consolidate political power. But you would not believe what we have to go through in order to maintain people believing in this hoax.
Dolan: I'm sure you have propaganda newspapers magazines and websites, no? What is it called, Yated Ne'eman?
Zweibel: Yes, and Hamodia, and Mishpacha magazine, and Yeshiva World News and Matzav.com, but now there are blogs like UOJ and Failed Messiah that expose all of our crimes and every attempt we make to convince the people that we actually give a damn about their children's safety.
Dolan: And Orthodox Jews read them?
Zweibel: Not so many, because the Moetzes Gedolim has enough respect that when they attacked the bloggers and the advocates for children's safety as presumptuous promoters of the idea that they know what's better for the Jewish people, most people fell for it. But there are many learned Orthodox Jews who are starting to publicize the true Torah perspective and show how we have hijacked the religion, which is making us look very bad. They now have this site called VIN that simply tells the stories of the child abuse.
Dolan: Sounds scandalous! What can you do?
Zweibel: We put a ban on the site, and that should show them who's boss. They have not discussed the issue of child abuse ONCE since the ban. It is holding strong.
Dolan: Wow you rabbis know what you are doing. If I were a molester (and I'm not saying I'm not) I wish I was an Orthodox rabbi so I would have you guys backing me and my religious right to molest. What about the legislation for safe schools?
Zweibel: Well, because of the JBAC, we had to go along with the idea of fingerprinting being mandatory, but we are not too worried about it actually happening. I mean if it did happen, that would be terrible. So many child abusers who are trained as teachers, would be out of a job, and their families out of a breadwinner. But as long as Shelly Silver is in power, the bill will never even come to a vote, yet alone actually pass. I mean, we were recently able to stop New Jersey from making Yeshivas safe from bullying. That would have been terrible.
Dolan: To tell you the truth, I wasn't quite sure why you were against the anti-bullying law.
Zweibel: No offense, but you have a "goyishe kup". Don't you see that if they can tell us not to bully then it could lead to forcing us to accept the homosexual lifestyle? I mean gay rabbis and teachers is one thing, but gay marriage??? Gay kock in yam!
Dolan: I hear you Dovidel. I never heard that "yam" thing before, some special yontiff food huh? Anyway... You know, the Pope actually had to make a couple of apologies. It was very precarious for a moment with the risk that people would see this as an admission that he acted immorally, because apologies usually mean that you did something wrong, and when that thing is allowing the rape and sodomy of innocent children it usually causes people to think you are a bad person. But Baruch Hashem, as you say, people are still falling for the pomp and circumstance of the Vatican, believing that the Pope is holy and that the Catholic Church is actually a spiritual enterprise.
Zweibel: By the way, wasn't the current Pope in the Hitler Youth Movement as a teenager? Is he an anti-Semite?
Dolan: True, and that did get in the way of one of our plans for defending ourselves. We tried to blame the whole sex abuse scandal on the liberal Jewish media, but people called that anti-Semitism, so we were back to the drawing board.
Zweibel: People can be so cruel. Look at what they are doing to unborn children with abortions.....and then the way society wants to treat innocent child molesters.....Its truly an outrage.
Dolan: All I'm saying is lets lower the rate of abortions. And lets lower the rate of attacks on child molesters. The Church has always taught to turn the other cheek. We want the victims of abuse to do that. To turn the other cheek to their molesters (or as Cardinal Bernard Law used to say to his priests, "turn to other cheeks") and allow them to continue to fulfill their God given appetite for young kids.
Zweibel: We don't have that particular doctrine, but I could not agree with you more. We believe in Mesirah, that forbids turning dangerous criminals over to the authorities who could throw them in jail and deprive their families of a breadwinner. We also have a similar concept of "Pidyon Shvuim" getting Jewish criminals out of jail. We will go all out for Jewish criminals. We bring all segments of Orthodox society, Chassidish, Yeshivish, Modern (they are not really Orthodox according to Rav Svei and Rav Gifter, but we need their financial backing so we pretend sometimes) in order to show the federal government what we have shown the Brooklyn D.A.. That you can't just make a power grab from the rabbis. That if you arrest one Jew, whether innocent or guilty, it is as if you arrested all of us. This way the Feds will think twice.
Dolan: Brilliant. What do you think would happen if you let up on this campaign?
Zweibel: Think about it. If the government thought they could prosecute us at will, they would have to put a fence around Williamsburg, Borough Park and Lakewood for all the tax evasion, money laundering, fraud and corruption. Then they would start with the Rabbinic sex offenders and Orthodox child abusers. Don't ask. We Agudah rabbis ourselves are covering up for Mondrowitz, Eiseman, Shapiro, Juravel, Storch, Weinberg, Kolko, various Tendlers, Michael Hirsch, Nussbaum, Reichman, Abrahamson, Gelbwachs, Eisgrau, Bryks, Templer, Brenner, Borger, Reich, Levitt, Kolko, Jr., Tropper, and on and on. We're even helping a recent fugitive from justice, Kranczer who ran to Israel. We have our connections there hiding him.
Dolan: Makes you long for the good old days when no law enforcement agency would dare start up with religious leaders who are the real arbiters of morality. The days when a cover-up was a cover-up! And when wearing a collar or a beard and payos meant never having to say you were sorry. We clergy were able to dupe people into trusting us with their money, their minds and their children.
Zweibel: Oy. We need Moshiach.
Dolan: Amen, brother, amen. He'll be back soon!....And Dovidel my liebling, if you're not busy after this meeting, come on over to my office, I want to show you a very little thing.
Who are these 3 accused molesters on the list from the Zweibel-Dolan dialog?:

ReplyDeleteRav Moshe Green, Rav Yisroel Simcha Schorr and Rabbonim Visit Jewish Inmates In Richmond, Virginia
ReplyDeleteThursday January 6, 2011 9:07 PM
This past Tuesday, January 4, Rabbi Moshe Green, rosh yeshiva of the Yeshivah D’Monsey, in Monsey, NY, visiting Richmond, Virginia, to be mechazeik Jewish inmates there.
Rav Green rarely leaves Monsey, or NY at all, particularly since he has suffered two strokes and uses a wheelchair.Rav Green was accompanied by his son, Rav Avrohom Green, and his grandson, R’ Yaakov Flohr. They were driven by car from Monsey to Baltimore, MD, where they slept for a few hours, and continued in the pre-dawn hours to Virginia, where they participated in the daily 7:15 am Shacharis minyan at the Yeshiva of Virginia in the Near West End of Richmond.
After Shacharis, Rav Chaim Ozer Chait, the rosh yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Virginia and a former resident of Monsey, NY, introduced Rav Green, and Rav Green shared divrei chizuk. He spoke of the Bnei Yisroel’s exodus from Mitzrayim, leading to their acceptance of the Torah, and he compared it to the freedom that servitude to Hashem through Torah study and observance gives us from our own egos and desires.
It was particularly noteworthy that Rav Green delivered his words in English, because his main language in New York is Yiddish. A video of Rav Green’s words can be found below. He then gave individual brachos to the talmidim and local rabbonim who were present.
After breakfast, Rav Green was joined by Rav Yisroel Simchah Schorr, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ohr Somayach in Monsey, and Rav Yaakov Yosef Moskowitz, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ner HaTorah in Monsey, who arrived by airplane together with Reb Chaim Hersh Freund and Reb Hershel Friedman, who are prominent activists who work in prison outreach.
ReplyDeleteThey then continued together to Hopewell, VA, for the main purpose of their visit, which was to give spiritual encouragement to the Jewish inmate community at the Petersburg Federal Prison in Hopewell, VA. Among the inmates is a prominent member of the Monsey community.
The rabbonim were accompanied by Rabbi Yosef Kolakowski, the rov of the Nachalei Emunah Institute of Richmond, VA, who also leads Congregation Kol Emes/Young Israel of Richmond and serves as a chaplain to the Petersburg Federal Prison.
The rabbonim spent several hours with the Jewish inmates in the chapel of the prison. One of the inmates described the horrors of prison life, stating that not only is the body in prison, but so is every level of his soul.
After the visit, the rabbonim returned immediately to Monsey. Rav Friedman, who was one of the visiting rabbonim, offered an interview on the popular Yiddish News Hotline Kol Mevaser. The number for Kol Mevaser is 212-444-1100. To hear the interview, press 3, then 1, then 386#.
The visit was a tremendous source of inspiration both to the local community who benefited from the visit and to the inmates.

There are so many prisons closer to home that we could all follow the lead of these prominent leaders and visit. Prisoners are lonely and love to be visited. Prison life is a pounishment in itself. We’re allowed to visit & be m’chazek them!

According to Die Tzitung this visit was specifically for R. Yisroel Moshe Weingarten and a letter of support was delivered from Rav Tuvia Weiss, GAVAD of the Eida Charedis in Yerushalayim. They printed the letter in which R. Weiss spoke fondly of RYMW as his friend from Antwerp.

ReplyDeleteThe tale of Gershon Kranczer, the Krancer aka Kranc-iz-er, 15
ReplyDeleteSo what would it be like if Kranczer was finally arrested and perhaps even sentenced to jail for his sex crimes against his daughters and for morally polluting his sons to follow in his perverse ways?
Just look around you at what's happening with Leib Tropper, Michael Hersh and that incestuous pervert "the great rabbi and scholar Yisroel Moshe Weingarten in prison in Virginia" as he's called in the translation from the so-called "Zeitung" Yiddish paper.
Nothing much would change in "the oilem-goilem HaToireh" life would just go on, people have so much on their plates, everyone is worried about parnosa, shiduchim and all sorts of various crisis, like re-doing your kitchen or choosing the best hotel for Pesach, to worry about pedophilia in schools or what could be happening to your kid when he or she goes over to a friend's or neighbor's house to "play" or do "homework" or "babysit" -- nothing would happen.
Look at Tropper, he was unmasked, trapped and defrocked, but he still struts the streets of Monsey and the halls of Agudist power as if nothing had happened. Just so happens to be his guide Aron Shechter has given him good advice not to rock the boat and hold the line and not admit to anything. Just keep fighting people in court till they get tired and then they just go away to do other stuff.
And take a look at Michael Hersh, he abuses his kids, kidnaps his son and sends him to a death-trap on Jamaica, and he then fights in court anyone who disagrees with his horrific moves as if he were a "Dreyfus" when he is more like an "O.J." -- and who should be guiding and supporting him with court battles? none other than the same Aron Shechter who gives him the same advice he gives Tropper, never admit you're wrong, never give up, never say anything nice, just use akshonus [obstinacy] to get your way in court/life/klal work.
And as for the latest nut job, Yisroel Moshe Weingarten who was sent to jail for raping and abusing his daughter, if that ever happens to Kranczer, you can bet your bottom ounce of "emunas chachomim" that Aron Shechter will find ways to give him "chizuk" and make it known that he is a "victim" of an "unjust" system that does not go by the rules that Shechter concocts in his office for the likes of Tropper, Hersh or Kranczer, to name but the most openly failed ones.
who is Reich? he has never been mentioned here before?
ReplyDeleteTwas the night before Cratzmach—Nittel Nacht, as it’s known,
ReplyDeleteAnd as my wife cleared the table, and I sat alone,
I pondered how to spend this long Friday eve,
Torah learning being forbidden on this annual reprieve.
That new Halacha Sefer would just have to wait,
And I hoped that in the meantime I didn’t violate,
One of the many prohibitions, an ever-growing list,
In that tome so heavy it could snap off your wrist.
It seemed as if each week a new Chumrah emerged,
Another vegetable outlawed or triple-washing urged;
A book or a song or technology banned,
By some Kol Koreh or Rabbi’s command.
Did we really need Hechshers on water and ice?
(And even if we did, wouldn’t one suffice?)
There were bans on music—both Jewish and non,
Bans on the sites to which we could log on.
Bans on produce and on non-Kosher phones,
(Although the ban on tax fraud seemed to be postponed.)
Bans on what views qualified as Mesorah,
All duly determined by omniscient Daas Torah.
When will it end, I thought to myself,
And as I gazed at my Seforim, asleep on their shelf;
I set aside these thoughts; they must be a test,
After all, our Gedolim surely know best.
I dimmed my KosherLamp and headed up to bed,
While visions of Kefirah danced in my head;
When all of a sudden, the stillness was shattered;
I ran to the window to see what was the matter;
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a flying old wagon, pulled by eight reindeer;
The wagon had seen better days, and it showed,
And there on its side blinked a light—“Sabbath Mode.”
Like eight soaring eagles, his reindeer they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Shmuel! now, Amos! now, Yona and Yeshayahu!
On, Nachum! on, Micha! on, Chagai and Yirmiyahu!
As I watched in amazement they circled my roof,
And gracefully landed on padded split hoofs.
I had heard all the legends but still was confused,
Since when did Santa start visiting Jews?
But it soon became clear that this wasn’t Saint Nick,
It was the prophet Elijah, his beard long and thick.
“So sayeth the Lord,” boomed my surprise late-night guest.
He’s sent me to tell you that He’s none too impressed.
While Chumras proliferate and bans, they abound;
His eternal message remains to be found.
Treat all of your fellow creations with respect,
Whether or not you share the same sect.
Be honest and true—yes, even with Goyim,
And those fruits and those veggies, go ahead and enjoy ‘em!
Don’t be a KosherLamp, hoarding its light,
But an Or LaGoyim, showing everyone what’s right.
The letter of the law is nothing without its spirit,
And let me tell you something, buddy, you’re nowhere near it.
You think He’s proud of Minyanim in jail?
Of religious Jews by the hundreds on bail?
Of scammers and thieves proudly wearing black hats?
Does the third Hechsher on your dish soap make up for that?
Before I could open my mouth to reply,
He turned his back and yelled “Gotta fly!”
I just stood there in shock, and watched him take flight,
And as the reindeer-drawn wagon faded into the night;
I stared up at the sky and wondered, confused,
Were we on the wrong track, as people, as Jews?
So caught up in the details, but missing the big picture,
Seeking God only through stricture after stricture?
Maybe it was time to take a step back,
To open up to the world around us, just a crack.
Not every development needs to be banned,
Not every new idea dismissed out of hand.
There are many types of Jews, of all different stripes,
And perhaps our shared bond should overshadow the gripes.
Could this be the message of this one night each year?
To step away from Torah, and our senses to clear?
Maybe, just maybe, it will all be allright,
HAPPY NITTEL NACHT TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
Check this out!

Along comes PINNY!
Rubashkin is not a martyr
I think that Reich is Reb Uren Reich. There are serious rumors that the police tried to arrest him twice but the Roshei Yeshiva were able to "convince" the victim to recant/drop charges.
ReplyDeleteI hope UOJ can get to the bottom of this, because the man is a Rosh Yeshiva who works with teen age boys. He was also one of the prinicpals who would not allow the victim of Kolko enter into his yeshiva, causing the family to have to leave town.
HELP!

OMG! R' Uren Reich is an eidim by R' Shneur. Isn't his yeshiva Perth Amboy?
ReplyDeleteWhich Storch is that? The Baltimore one? The one who had a bunch of weird fly by night yeshivos, the latest in Lakewood?
What are the stories? Can't just throw out names with no details.
Arthur is a little late. Lubavitch observes Nittel on Dec. 25th, not Jan. 6th like everyone else lefi the old calendar.
ReplyDeleteHey, for the first time Pinny is touting a Rubashkin circus act without mentioning the name of 500 Agudah affiliated rabbis. If they call it "pikuach nefesh" to hire every expensive lawyer in the country, how can he do this without raising that money first?
ReplyDeleteWhen Tropper was at the height of being forced to quit as head of his Kol Yaakov Yeshiva and community, on Feb 15, 2010 he agreed to sign some very interesting letters, on which he included some interesting stipulations, as can be seen at Tropper's admission of guilt and resignation - A blow by blow.
ReplyDeleteOf course he has to have his two buddies Aron Shechter and REB Wachtfogel as as his main "guarantors" (naturally, where would he be if they had not enabled him from day one?!) but he also saw fit to squeeze in twice "Harav HaGaon R' Moshe Green", see point 2 in first letter of resignation to Monsey rabbis: "Subject to the approval of Rabbi Moshe Green..." which Tropper repeats again in point 3 of his second letter of resignation addressed to Kol Yaakov Yeshiva itself.
So now, in those "good old days" you may have scratched your head and thought well, that's so nice of Tropper, to defer to the sweet Rabbi Moshe Green, isn't that just dandy, aw shuks it could even make Tropper shed a crocodile tear or two in an act of mock justice.
But all of a sudden, now, it's that same Rabbi Moshe Green, doyen of Monsey rabbis who flies down to Virginia as head of a delegation to give succor and comfort to Yisroel Moshe Weingarten a convicted practitioner of the most lurid and debasing form of sex crimes of incest against his own daughter multiple times over many years and when she cried foul he used that old lamest of excuses of "blame the victim" and use her vulnerabilities and shields for perversion, that the rabbis also now also latch on to.
So now we know why Tropper would see to it that Rabbi Moshe Green should be dragged in writing into his own lurid affairs that brought about his own downfall. Tropper may well have landed in prison, or at least faced lengthy court proceeding brought against him by his victims, not like he does against people who cross him using fake frivolous litigation as preemptive shields.
And sure, had Tropper been put on trial as he would have deserved and given a jail term as he deserved even more, it would surely have been good old Rabbi Moshe Green from Monsey who would have led a delegation of choshuve rabbonim to comfort poor little Tropper in jail with other sex criminals, probably with an official letter from moetzes member Aron Shechter declaring Tropper's imminent sainthood and condemning all those "bad" people who finally had enough of Tropper's shenanigans who in any case then did them the favor of self-destructing being caught live on video tape in a threesome with his heter-meah-rabbonim-wife and goyisha-mistress-in-need-of-a-conversion in the same hotel bed.
Makes one wonder what it takes to win the admiration of these so-called "great" rabbis and how they view the world.
Mommy & Daddy Green forgot to instill morals into little Moshe & Pinky.

If Marc and Denise are an odd couple, Rich and Pinky Green are an equally unlikely twosome. Green is as playful as Rich is intense. ''Pinky reminds me of Groucho Marx,'' says a former Rich associate. Tall and crew-cut, Green is a confirmed quipster. Asked about the oil business, he shoots back, ''Oil? Isn't that the stuff you pack sardines in?'' Devoutly religious, Green has a home in Zug and another in the Enge Jewish quarter of Zurich, within walking distance of a synagogue. He rushes out of the office on Friday afternoon so he can start celebrating the Sabbath by sundown, in accordance with Orthodox Jewish tradition. He eats kosher food and keeps it simple -- lox and tomatoes are a favorite lunch. Rich and Green were able to flee the U.S. without skipping a business beat. Though they operated out of New York, their company had always been headquartered in Switzerland. In the early 1970s both had become star Philipp Brothers traders

Guilt of Yisroel Weingarten - letter of R M Stauber to Beis Din of Rav Wosner
What Was Said Inside Satmar About Yisroel Moshe Weingarten by Yerachmiel Lopin on 12/07/2010

Friday, Parshas Pinchas, 5763, [July 18, 2003] Antwerp, May Zion be Restored
Respectfully to the renowned great scholar, presiding on justice, righteous leader to his congregation, his glory on the Jewish people, the honorable renowned, Rabbi, Gaon Benzion Yaakov Halevi Wosner, may he be granted long days, and along with him to the rabbis and sages, members of the Beit Din Tzedek (religious court) of the Holy Congregation of Monsey.
After inquiring about your well-being, I am answering your request to write what I know about the painful affair of the Weingarten family. They lived here in our city Antwerp for many years. Their young girls were educated here in Bais Rachel of Satmar. There was a feeling during all those years that an oppressive atmosphere was controlling the girls and their mother. Though we tried to do everything for the good, it did not help much. In the summer of 5756 [1996] Reb Yisroel Moshe came and pestered us to move his oldest daughter, Frumah Leah, to a higher class; something we don’t do for others. After deliberation we decided to agree. We knew the bitterness of the daughter came from the goings-on at the house. Therefore [we thought] it is worth giving in on a trivial matter; perhaps through this the student will be more satisfied. But actually we saw, to the contrary, that she came to school with swollen eyes, and at times, with other marks. We did not want to touch this because we knew they were odd people and we wouldn’t accomplish anything.
Reb Wolf Gross, who lives several houses away from them, was a true friend of Yisroel Moshe, and he helped them a lot so there would be something to eat in their house. He told me that Frumah Leah wants to commit suicide, G-d save us, and throw herself out the window. They actually saved her at the last moment. [He told me that] in my role as principal I am obligated to interrogate her in order not [to be guilty of] “standing by on the blood of a fellow Jew” [Leviticus 19:16].
I initiated discussions with her several times until she revealed to me that she endured murderous beatings from him [her father] for reasons she could not reveal to me under any circumstances. Only after much urging and assurances, she wrote on paper that for a long time her father was doing with her [sexually] perverted things, have mercy on us. I do not remember all she wrote. But this I remember exactly as I received it from her. “He takes and he ejaculates (motzi zerah l’vatallah) …(ellipses in original) very close to actual biblically prohibited incestuous intercourse, (ad karov ligiluy arayos mamash), have mercy on us. She added afterwards, verbally, that she was disgusted with a life like this for a quite a while and that he hit her with frightening sadism. Because of this she wanted to put an end to her life, G-d save us."

ReplyDeleteIt is self understood what a shock this was for us. Because the one of whom we speak was a girl of 15, we passed the matter over to the rabbonim and the leader of Satmar [in Antwerp], Rabbi Chaim Yosef Dovid Weiss, may he live long, head of our congregation. [Rabbi Weiss] took the testimony and he [the father] did not deny it. As a consequence he [Rabbi Weiss] forbade him [Yisroel Weingarten] to seclude himself with his daughter (asar lo l’hityached im bito). He arranged for her to immediately go to Manchester, [England, to a girls school where she would board].
This happened during Chanukah, 5757 [December 1997]. At the end of the winter she returned from Manchester and the whole family traveled to Israel for Passover. After Passover he [Yisroel Weingarten] returned alone with his aforementioned daughter and he was secluded with her all summer. All we did was write a letter that we have no responsibility (achrayis) for the aforementioned student [Frumah Leah] from here on in. Also, that none of his children have permission to set foot in our institutions. Till the month of Ellul, his disgrace was not [publicly] revealed. On the contrary; he [Yisroel Weingarten] made himself out to be a respectable man and we kept quiet. In the middle of Ellul his true disgrace was revealed through others with more ugly things. The whole city was astonished. Suddenly it came out through a tape that the daughter was involved in sin with a neighbor, Meyerowitz Meierowitz. This was something that the dayan of Satmar did not hear from him [Yisroel Weingarten] all through the course of the previous winter while he judged him.
We surmised that all of his doings were astounding and full of contradictions. My wife, may she live long, told me many times at the end of long discussion that she senses from him an air of impurity (ruach tummah). I still gave him the benefit of the doubt until I heard from his daughter the aforementioned deeds [about which she wrote]. Through this were explained many contradictions.
His wife endured a lot from him. Many times she burst out in gushing tears. He was terribly, unfathomably, sadistic towards her. After some weeks she returned and said that all of her words were nonsense and lies, and so on. It was seen that hemanipulates her [manipaleert ) in a terrible way.
The devastation (hachurban) [evoked] in putting forth my words pains me greatly. [Do] what it is in your power to save them from this hypocrite, crook and swindler without equal who does the acts of Zimri and demands the reward of PinchasBT Sotah 22b referring to Numbers 25:6-14]. I would also add, that the Admor Rabbi Leibish of Phshevorsk, may he live long, said that they investigated the family in 5757 [1997-1998], meaning the woman and daughter, in Jerusalem the holy city, and they [the investigators] uncovered things.
Signed and sealed in sorrow and wishing you success,
Mordechai Stauber

Hmm, very interesting, maybe some Aaron have this gene:
ReplyDelete"Aaron the Tyrant (Romanian: Aron Tiranul), sometimes credited as Aron Emanoil or Emanuel Aaron (d. 1597 in Vinţu de Jos), was twice Moldavian Voivode (Prince): between September 1591 and June 1592, and October 24, 1592 to May 3, 1595. He was Alexandru Lăpuşneanu's son.
Emanuel Aaron was placed on the Moldavian throne through the efforts of Solomon Ashkenazi, an influential Jew. He is alleged to have paid officials at the Ottoman court the sum of one million guilders; the moment he came to the throne signified an increase in taxes, one high enough to justify his moniker and to lead to an uprising. Despite Ashkenazi's support, he increased the persecution of Jews in Moldavia, and executed without trial 19 of his Jewish creditors.[1] The events called for the Porte's intervention, and the Ottomans deposed Aron without delay.
He was soon after appointed ruler for the second time, owing to pressure from his creditors. Aron Tiranul was, however, determined to end his cohabitation with the Ottomans, especially after the offers for an alliance made by Pope Clement VIII and Wallachian Prince Michael the Brave. He and Michael convened on November 5, 1594, after which Aron swiftly moved against the Ottomans, getting them out of Moldavia and briefly conquering part of Dobruja in 1595.
The hatman (a high boyar rank) who led the anti-Ottoman campaigns and who became very popular among the soldiers, Ştefan Răzvan, ousted Aron, whose image increasingly eroded among the people. While Răzvan took charge of affairs in Iaşi, Aron Tiranul and his family were captured in Transylvania by the troops of Prince Sigismund Báthory, being imprisoned in Alvinc (Vinţu de Jos) - where he died, being buried in the Eastern Orthodox church in Alba Iulia.

A major financial supporter of Moishe Green's yeshiva didn't like that his daughter had a get waiting for her in Rav Gestetner's beis din so he had Moishe Green illegally invalidate the get. The beis din put Moishe Green in cherem for assisting all the illegal things this family is doing and pronounced that Moishe Green is also under cherem deRabbeinu Tam for invalidating a kosher get. All this information has been posted here and elsewhere in the past.
ReplyDeletehttp://rabbiniccorruptionatrcc.blogspot.com/2009/09/rabbi-moshe-green-violates-rabeinu-tam.html
ReplyDeleteRabbi Green from Monsey, Ny has joined the ranks of corrupt rabbis in the U.S.A. It is very unfortunate that rabbi green has capitualted to money and violated Rabbeinu Tam's Cheirem by issuing a letter: http://www.scribd.com/doc/19657738/Rav-Moshe-Green-Letter that invalidates a certain rabbi's Gittin. rabbi Green does not indicate a reason why this Rabbi's Gittin are not valid but blatantly disregards their validity as if this was a piece of meat that he can render as a rabbinic supervisor that it is unkosher and unfit for consumption. Even when it comes to meat supervision, such halachic decisions are arrived at by a rabbinic supervisor supervising the meat plant and the shochet, and not by random reflexive decisions. However in this case it is an apparent corrupt decision by moshe green made thru indirect bribes as it was well known that a supporter of his yeshiva Mr Oberlander had contributed large sums of monies to his Yeshive via "journal ads" just prior to the issuance of the above referenced letter.
See: http://www.scribd.com/full/19478984?access_key=key-1i0ah3k2vmpiiiqa6ma3
ReplyDeleteAlso see this letter addressed to this Bais Din By the Eida Chareidis in a very respectful manner which contradicts his assertion as well as Ora, and other rabbis that slander this man and his Bais Din:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/24681755/Badatz-Writing-to-Rabbi-Abraham
Apparently Mr Oberlanders daughter was undergoing a nasty divorce with Mr Rappaport who had deposited a GET at a particular Bais Din and wanted to make herself appear like an "aguna" by having moshe green state that the get is invalid. You ask what is there to gain by falsely claiming to be an aguna? The answer is that New York State has a GET law that will punish a husband who refuses to give a GET, by granting ALL MARITAL ASSETS to the wife, and Mr Rappaport had "lots of assets". The 2 other proofs that implicate his corruption are A) a Rabbi who renders a halachic decision, does so in a letter written in hebrew and not in English, as seen by the other letter written by rabbi Gestetner. Moshe green wrote this letter for one purpose only, to be used in court by Mr Rapapports former wife to show she is an Aguna. What was Moshe Green thinking? Is a court ordered Get Kosher in Halacha? B) In one of the ads (written in hebrew) one can see Mr Oberlander writing " for all that you have done for our family"!! Doesnt this seem suspicious? See this site where another woman reportedly feigns to be an Aguna. http://lonnakin.blogspot.com/
Rabeinu Tam in his wisdom forbade the invalidation of Gittin without good cause as this can potentially cause mamzeirim in Israel. Moshe Green's statements, without justified proof or cause, has now falsely raised concern about the mamzerus state of all those children born to women who remarried with gittin issued at that Bais Din. This is not only a sin committed against the reputation of these children, but to their parents and to this Bais Din. Moshe green was asked to retract such statements and apologize and has refused to do so. See: http://www.scribd.com/doc/19907179(free translation), and http://www.scribd.com/doc/19907072/Rabbi-c-Avrahammoshe-Green . A letter in hebrew by a different Bais Din has decried his actions and labels him a sinner by jewish law.
ReplyDeletesee: http://www.scribd.com/doc/19658830/Letter-Against-MOSHE-GREEN Whoever can influence Moshe green to repent and retract his letter will be rewarded by heaven for sparing much shame to countless people and will stop the perpetuance of Mamzeirim in Israel. In the meantime all the rules of Cheirem are applicable to Moshe Green. One should discuss with a competent and UNCORRUPTED rabbi all the Halachic ramifications of Cheirem.

i noticed in the journal ads that mr oberlander ends the add with the words .."for all that you have done for our family", this raises my suspicion that its true that Rabbi Green was influenced by money. It's not surprising to me since rabbinic corruption is rampant today!!!

Pincus Green (born 1936) is an American oil and gas commodities trader whose net worth is estimated by Forbes magazine at $1.2 billion USD. Green fled the United States in 1983, along with partner Marc Rich, after being indicted by U.S. Attorney and future mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani, on charges of tax evasion and illegal trading with Iran. Green received a controversial presidential pardon, along with Marc Rich, from United States President Bill Clinton in 2001. Although the pardon allows Green to return to the United States, he is reluctant to do so and has not returned. It has been reported that Green has been in retirement since he underwent heart surgery in 1992.

RICH PARTNER A MAJOR PLAYER IN MINOR KEY
ReplyDeleteBY WILLIAM SHERMAN DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Sunday, March 18th 2001, 2:20AM
Billionaire Pincus (Pinky) Green, formerly of Flatbush, Brooklyn, is a man who lives in a shadow.
In contrast to his business partner, Marc Rich, Green has no trophy wife, no messy affairs, no great art collection and no hand-tailored suits, estates or private jets.
Yet the two commodities moguls share a remarkable bond that goes far deeper than the pardon they won from former President Bill Clinton in January. They have been friends for nearly 50 years - and on the lam in Switzerland for the past 17.
The sons of Jewish immigrants, both were born in 1934 and both are 5-feet-9 and weigh about 170 pounds.
Green is every bit as big as Rich in all their deals, and in some circles, Green has more power, according to law enforcement officials.
"Green's no gofer; he and Rich are joined at the hip, and one never did anything without the other," said Morris Weinberg, the former assistant U.S. attorney who initially investigated and prosecuted the two. "They are both very, very intelligent men."
"We were in Israel and had a plan to trap Green there," said former Police Commissioner Howard Safir, who hunted Rich and Green for several years during the '80s, when he was chief of operations for the U.S. Marshals Service. "And the Israeli officials told us, 'Officially, we'll help you all we can; unofficially, you're wasting your time.' "
"So we got no help, and we didn't get him," Safir said.
Green is the man who held much of their enterprises together, the quiet man known as The Admiral for his encyclopedic knowledge of shipping and freight rates so important to bulk trade in commodities.
"Pinky has a reputation as a trader, whether it's $100 or $100 million. His word is gold; he shook your hand, and the deal was done," said Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald of Monsey, Rockland County, a friend since school days who several years ago traded commodities through Green.
Along with Rich, Green developed close personal ties with the trade ministers and leading merchants of more than a dozen countries, especially Israel.
The seventh of eight children, Green helped his father at night and on Sundays selling confectionaries to small candy stores. He was educated at Jewish parochial schools but dropped out of high school at age 16 to help support his family.
He got his break at age 17 with a job in the mailroom at Philipp Brothers, a commodity trading concern. One year later, Rich, a college dropout, joined him in the mailroom. The two were promoted from one department to another - and eventually to top trading positions in Europe, where they worked together developing oil trading strategies.
ReplyDeleteIn 1974, they left Philipp Brothers to form their company, Marc Rich AG.
Seventeen years ago, Rich and Green were indicted by the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office on 51 counts of racketeering and tax evasion - and doing business with Iran during the 1979 embassy hostage crisis.
Rather than face trial and the possibility of long prison sentences, they fled with their families to Switzerland.
In side-by-side offices, identical in size, Rich and Green operated for years, building what is now the largest commodity trading concern in the world.
While Rich seems to define his life with luxury, including a palace in Marbella, Spain, and hobnobbing with celebrities such as Placido Domingo, Green is defined by his devotion to his wife, Libby; to his four children, and to Orthodox Judaism and its causes.
In New York, Rich lived in a huge East Side apartment, filled with Picassos and other art treasures, while Green lived in a modest home in Flatbush.
"If you looked at 500 homes in Flatbush, 250 of them were nicer than Pinky's," said Greenwald. "A quiet guy - always was. Likes to joke around a bit. Very clearheaded, calm - always very calm and plain."
"Pinky's very religious, a lively young boy. You know, I haven't seen him in 18 years, but I don't suppose he's changed," said Green's older brother, Moshe, a religious teacher. "He likes a good joke; other than that, just a very hardworking man, a devoted family man."
Green, whose pardon application says he retired in 1990 after a heart bypass operation, lives in Zurich, about 40 minutes by car from Zug, where the business is headquartered.
"One thing we know," said Weinberg. "Rich couldn't have cared less about living outside the United States. Pinky Green, we heard, always wanted to come home. He misses Brooklyn, he misses his friends."
But will he come home, now that he's pardoned?
His New York attorneys declined to respond to telephone calls.
A secretary at the Rich headquarters in Zug said only, "Pincus Green is not here anymore. . . . No, I don't know where he can be reached."

Also perhaps the UOJ should consider promoting what is good in the community instead of only what is bad, then maybe those who do good will actually build support to advance that goal.
