The Victims Write And Their Stories Are Verified!
When I was --- years old, I was a talmid of Ner Israel. At that time, the Mashgiach Ruchni was Rabbi Moshe Eisemann. I became close to him and trusted him totally like a father figure. He is a very sick man. He would tell me he loved me and would hug and kiss me inappropriately. In this day and age, what rebby does this? He tried to control me by telling me loshon harah against my friends and family, and by telling my best friend not to be friends with me, and other ways.
I was very uncomfortable, but thought I was crazy for thinking he was weird. One day, he felt up my rear end IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BEIS MEDRASH! I couldn't believe it. I was shocked, angry and dismayed. But I did not have the guts to even say excuse me, what the hell are you doing. I did have the guts to tell my parents that he was "bothering " me and my mom called him and told him to stay away. He did not listen at first, but had the nerve to approach me a couple more times and to write me a letter threatening that love can easily turn to hate. I may still have that letter.
I know that this story does not sound like much, but there is more. Shortly thereafter, a friend of mine had problems and was thrown out of the dorm. Rabbi Eisemann offered to take him into his house. One night in the middle of the night, thinking my friend was asleep, Rabbi Eisemann went in and put his hand under the cover, and groped my friend's privates. My friend was only ---. He was horrified. The next day he told ......., who went to the hanhalla. Rabbi Herman Neuberger, A"H, reacted by saying that the boy had to leave the yeshiva.
My friend was devastated. He came to me to ask me to come forward. Es Chatai Ani Mazkir Hayom, I wasn't ready completely. I told him if there was any other way to save his brother, he should do it, but if not I would come forward. He found another victim whose father was a huge gvir and who had also been touched inappropriately. So my friend was allowed to stay.
Reb Tzvi Berkowitz, the son-in-law of Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky of Philadelphia, told my friend not to tell anyone what happened because it could be bad for the yeshiva.
I have suffered for years. Only years later was I able to tell my parents what truly happened. I have still not been able to confront the yeshiva satisfatorily on this issue.A few years ago, I DID tell Shragi Neuberger about it. He is a rebby, and Rabbi Neuberger's son and we were close once upon a time. He did not deny the problem. There had been a bochur who told Reb Dovid Cohen a similar story (a Russian bochur with no political clout) but that the story was "unsubstantiated".
I'm here to substantiate the fact that R. Eisemann has a real problem. What to do, the follow up phone calls have gotten us nowhere. I want to go further, but am afraid of being hurt personally by the yeshiva.
What I would like to know from you is, do you have a way to investigate and find others who have been affected? I'm sure there are. I found another person who said that he was also was felt up on three occassions, and although he was not traumatized he decided to stay away from Rabbi Eisemann. His story happened several years after mine. He also knows of one other person. By the way, I was traumatized mostly because of the relationship I had with Rabbi Eisemann, and also by the covering up and complete lack of caring on the part of the yeshiva. It is true that what happened to me from a sexual standpoint was "not as bad" as some other stories. After all there was no penetration, right??? There might not be a lawsuit, but is that really necessary even at this point? Wouldn't you think that the thought of a scandal now would get them to act? But Rabbi Eisemann is still sitting on the dais at the recent Rabbi Neuberger memory dinner, and what's worse, still talks in learning with unsuspecting yeshiva boys on a daily basis. What is wrong with these people???? Ignorance is only an excuse up to a point, no?!
If you have any ideas or advice for me, I would be so grateful.
One last thing. I thought of you this yomtov. Take a look at the Yalkut Meam Loez on Rus on Vayehi Bimay Shfot Hashoftim. He says that the judges / leaders of Klal Yisroel were judged by the people for their corruption. He writes pages and pages about this. He says that when Moshe Rabeinu "criticized" the Jews saying , a little more and they'll stone me", it was not a put down but praise that the Jewish people don't stand for phony, incompetent, self-interested leaders, but demand integrity from them, no matter who they are. I felt like he was writing about you. Really, take a look, and let me know what you think.
Yasher Koach, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I went to Gary Rosenblatt to ask advice. He's the editor of Jewish Week who did the expose on Baruch Lanner. He had been the head of the Jewish paper in Baltimore. He told me that Rabbi Neuberger had been involved in a case in the city (Eisgrau) where he insisted that it be kept quiet and nothing was done. It's as if there is some kind of Mesorah that he had that this is the correct thing to do in these situations. You know, chillul hashem, etc.
Shragi told people that Rabbi Eiseman has a heart condition, and this has to be considered in deciding to act or not. He also said that the Neubergers had been aware for years of Matis Weinberg's problems, but did nothing. He said "Everyone knows that the Neubergers and Weinbergs don't get along well, so they would not have believed us." Come again???
David Mandel from Brooklyn had started a Beis Din in Baltimore to investigate allegations of sexual abuse in the frum community. The Beis Din consisted of Shragi, Rav Heinneman, Rav Hopfer, Rabbi Hauer, and Rabbi Goldberger. Shragi said that when Rabbi Heinneman is at the meetings they can't really speak about it because he doesn't get it as well as the rest of them. How do you explain this? A rabbi on Beis Din who does NOT understand the sickness?
According to Rabbi Moshe Wolfson, "There are as many rabbis out there that will hurt you than will help you," and "There ARE no more Gedolim, veharaya, that people come to me with questions that they used to go to gedolim."
Another victim writes....
Did you hear about the two evenings that Ohel had entitled "let's talk about what never happened, but it really did"? The first one featured Rav Pam, Reb Shmuel and Reb Dovid Cohen and was emceed by Sruly Reisman. I gave them an A for effort, but their cluelessness caused, I believe, much pain to the victims/survivors in the audience. Reb Shmuel was asked by a lady what she should do about being molested 30 years ago and never telling anyone. She said that she was recently experienceing psychological symptoms. He told her to see a shrink, but to not tell her husband under any circumstances, because there is no way he would understand. This is in public and on tape. Rav Pam spoke about frum people with psychological issues like OCD, but didn't mention molestation, abuse of any sort, anything to do with sex or what the purpose of the evening was supposed to be. I wonder if someone told him, even? My favorite was of course, Rabbi Reisman, who after offering the caveat that he was not a psychologist, still felt that he had something intelligent to offer on the subject beacause of his experiences with victims. He then told two stories in which he went out of his way to point out that the molester was NOT Jewish. It did not take my years of leaning lamdus to make the diuk that apparently frum people of course don't molest, and that what had happened to many of the people in the room, really didn't happen at all according to the resident Navi expert. To "help" people even more, when asked by one survivor about the feelings of betrayal, he opined that this was not an issue at all, because like Don Rumsfeld said about the war in Iraq, "Stuff happens".
Basically, the message was to victims: we want to help you to get over it... so get over it, ok?
Another victim writes....
I hope you took no offense that I called you meshuga. I think that anyone who is not made meshuga by the horrible world of hypocrisy that is called the frum velt has something really wrong with them. Anyway, sorry for the choice of words. Again, you are my hero.
One thing that impressed me about your approach, is that with the Gerrer situation (the gerrorists) you got the job done and didn't feel the need to "take them down" or to necessarily go after the yeshiva, etc.
I'm mentioning this, because although sometimes the situation calls for drastic measures like multimillion dollar lawsuits and possibly razing a yeshiva to the ground, each situation is different and this whole problem does require sophistication as well as passion. In my case of Ner Yisroel, maybe something subtle like a letter writing campaign, or a few choice phone calls asking politely for Rabbi Eisemann to be taken care of, might do the trick especially now that they see what the problem could lead to.
Another victim writes...
I do not think it is enough to dismiss these people from their jobs. Look at the two guys who were fired. They go to Israel and will most likely end up like Mattis Weinberg molesting again at a later date. What needs to be done is:
Rabbi Eisemann should be told that the community, i.e. hanhalla of yeshiva, will monitor him and talk to his therapist to be sure he is complying. He will be given a job doing something with no child contact, but if he does not comply, he will be punished with fines or something else. His passport should probably be taken away.
His treatment should be comprehensive at a place that specializes in sex offenders and should include objective assessment for pedophilia (lie detector test, sexual deviancy measures, etc.) group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy.
The yeshiva, as part of the change that needs to be made, should have to track down as many victims as possible and apologize.
Am I asking too much?
Another victim writes.....
You have touched on many issues, and are right on target.
Firstly, Shlomo Gottesman at Torah Umesorah is a big part of the problem, he's known about these problems At Ner Israel for years and is deeply involved in covering up this issue.
The gedolim, at least the ones they call gedolim, are clueless outside their daled amos. As a general rule, the Europeans don't get it, and the great chachomim like R' Ruderman are gone.
The present rabbonim in America are either businessmen protecting their businesses, or shluchim from them. I can't think of one name today that can compare to the toes of a R' Ruderman.
What's worse is that they in their ignorance and self-interests are causing the destruction of authentic Orthodox Judaism. R' Moshe didn't know about N.Y. water? Romaine lettuce?
Chumras upon chumras...where's the beef??? kinderlach's lives and neshomas??????
The Neuberger's behavior come as a shock and will come back to haunt them. What about Tzvi Berkowitz?/ Is he out of his mind or just waiting for the rosh yeshiva's job? Eiseman is sick, he has molested me for years when I went for shabbes to his house. He said it is ok to feel good. How crazy is that???I'm at a loss to explain what's going on. Maybe this is the next dor hamabul...the rishaim seem to be everywhere. I need time to think of an aitza, right now, I'm shocked out of my mind.
Sincerely and all the very best,do not let the Neubergers fool you, they will do nothing.
Another victim writes....
I know five of us that Eiseman masturbated, but I'm not sure how many would agree to help or come forward. There is the Russian boy but only Dovid Cohen know who this bochur is. I'm shocked that Dovid Cohen did not do anything to get rid of Eiseman, he told people years ago that he spoke to the Neubergers and they agreed to fire him.
Another victim writes....
Oh, by the way, you know that Moshe Eisemann went for years and years to Russia to work with unsuspecting Jewish children there under Agudas Yisroel's plan for harbotzas torah.
I'm going to write Neuberger that he really needs to fire Eiseman, pronto. And if Eiseman takes the yeshiva to a din torah (sure) then I'm willing to back up the yeshiva. But I will not help them in any way until he's fired.
Another victim writes...
I have two more victims of Eiseman who might be willing to contact you anonymously. Maybe three. Reb Dovid Cohen was also approached by somebody about Eiseman a while ago. I'm sorry you are having health problems. I'm suffering a lot too. Will it be all over soon? Or will it take as long as YTT is taking? Have you gotten any response from Ner Israel?
Another victim writes.....
I have an insider in Torah Umesorah...they ( Ner Israel) have no interests in doing the right thing at all. They're more concerned about finding me. I went to Herman 12 years ago and told him that Eiseman is sick, so they know full well and decided to do nothing. They learned NOTHING from the Margulies fiasco. I will be going public. Hopfer has been covering for Eisgrau...Eisgrau raped his own daughter, I'm in contact with her.
They're going to learn the hard way. I'll testify if needed!
Another victim writes.....
Apparently someone calling himself UOJ told Reb Sheftel that they've got 10 days to act or else. I had been wondering if they would make the top 3. Suddenly, Shragi says to my friend they are ready to act. Not to botch it up like TT did. He wants to go to a beis din first with Rabbi Hopfer. Many people told him that that's a waste of time, totally unnecessary. All they need to do is retire Eiseman based on 2 credible complaints, period. My friend said what are you afraid of that Eiseman will sue?!! I told him not to worry about Eiseman's heart condition, the victims come first. I think he might have heard me, but we'll see. Either way, I think in 10 days it will all be done. I hope. Shragi asked my friend if you had other victims. You told me that you didn't want to name others to me about other victims. He was very puzzled about how the molestation had taken place in the beis medrash, and I clarified to him that for some very sick individuals, that is what gets their rocks off.
Yasher Koach and keep up the good work. Soon it will be done and you can take a real hiatus and recuperate, I hope.
I'm feeling better already, but it ain't over till its over.
Another victim writes......
On second thought, I don't trust Shragi at all to be looking out for my interests, I don't feel a need to confront Eiseman to his face, and I certainly don't want to have to speak to this guy Hopfer. So, I'm going to call off the charade and tell them to just do what you are calling for, which happens to also be the best thing for all people concerned. I truly hope they do what they need to.
A victim responds to a question that I pose about them calling for an immediate hearing:
No, they did not agree. In matter of fact my friend just got a call from Shragi from Eretz Yisroel, that when he gets back, he wants to have a meeting with me, my friend, any other victims, Rabbi Eiseman and Rabbi Hopfer. I'm not quite sure why they need his involvement. I'm not sure why they need anybody's involvement. It makes me nervous, but I'm willing to help do things their way for now. It's the bottom line that matters. I'm nervous about this too. Shragi now talked to my friend about making "restrictions" for Eiseman, it seems Eiseman is staying, and the talk of his dismissal is a charade.
Any victims of Moshe Eisemann please contact me. I am willing to assist you in legal action against Ner Israel and Eiseman.
The next yeshiva has one week to terminate their in-house sexual abuser!

Jewish Whistleblower (one of the four bloggers) is requesting everyone contact Court TV and request they broadcast the trial regarding Tendler's attempts to Violate Anonymous Bloggers’ First Amendment Rights.
Court TV’s website and leave requests asking them to carry live coverage of the hearing! Toll-free Number: 1-800-268-7856 or contact info on thier web page.
It's a shame that Tendler keeps fighting the inevitable and subjecting his parents, wife and children to more grief. Do you know that the putz is currently involved in about a dozen different dinei Torah and court cases? I'm not even sure if Margulies has that much stamina.
How do you know that was really Ira Axelrod? I can post as Ira Axelrod too. See? Wheeeeee!
1. If the allegation is that he put his hand inappropriately where he shouldn't have, can't he argue that it was all a mistake, that he needs better glasses, a higher prescription. If the charges are that he masturbated bochurim, this is a serious claim, but maybe they needed hadracha and didn't know how. There are many bochurim in yeshivos who would love to be told by there rebbe that it's okay. I'm not sure that ner yisroel is on that page (of course not!) but, b'ayn melitz yosher... If the claim is that they were hugged and kissed, that is the fashion. That's what roshei yeshiva do: fake crap. Fake caring, fake chiddushim, fake learning, fake yiras shomayim, fake kissing. Rav Eisemann is too good to be a fake, but maybe good isn't good enough.
Let's see the evidence before we pass judgement.
Mordy is seriously ill.
"I don't understand something. Why can't some of these rabbeim put on a baseball cap, roll up their beards and go once a week to a strip club ?? I think that's so much better then molesting little boys."

Drive up and down 3rd-4th Ave in Brooklyn any night where the strip joints are and the hookers hang out. You'll be amazed at the number of 'heimishe guys' in full ortho dress
you'll see hanging out and getting action.
This weeks Jewish Week had a paid RANT by Schick...can someone post this obnoxious piece of vermin so others can read it. I practically threw up when I read it as it reeks of the now infamous head in the sand approach to issues in the community specifically sexual abuse.
UOJ keep it up - you;ve got way more supporters then you know.
Mordy Tendler is a mafioso. He will
seek to destroy anyone or
anything that stands against him
using all means(ie brainwashed or
paid-off cronies) at his disposal.
He is a disgusting pervert and
an eternal shame to the
name of his grandfather- the
great Gaon and Tzaddik. At least
the RCA had some guts in confronting him. AGUDAH--HELLOOOOO!!????
A sage once suggested that rabbis are unlike priests. Priests are defrocked. Rabbis are simply unsuited.

Maybe that could be brought up at the next PTA meeting.
------------------------------
They would go,but theres no room left at these brothels because the chassidim have preferential treatment there.
"Anonymous said...

These guys believe that they must ALWAYS dress a "frumme Yidden" to show their devotion to Hashem and set themselves apart from "the goyim." They rationalize that "the Talmud does not forbid it" if they go to strip clubs and other disreputable places so dressed, because 1) they have needs as men and their wives cannot fulfill them because they are niddah, and 2) the women in the strip clubs are probably not Jewish anyway, -- they consider them whores, barely human even -- so it isn't like it's adultery or anything like that, in their eyes.
A rebbe in my son's yeshiva told the boys once -- and this frum Orthodox teacher was clearly digusted by this, much to his eternal credit, showing that HE, at least is one of the good guys --that during the winter months, when Shabbos ends early, some "Hasidim" go every motzei Shabbos on a bus down to Atlantic City -- learning Torah all the way down, of course -- and then they go and gamble for a few hours at the Taj Mahal or one of the other gambling casinos there!
Never mind the fact that gambling is a disreputable practice, how they may be rubbing shoulders with gangsters (many of whom also like to hit the crap tables and roulette wheels in A.C.) and with scantily dressed female casino patrons, not to mention the cocktail waitresses, who wear short skirts and low-cut blouses as they bring the customers their drinks. Do these "frum" gamblers avert their eyes when they see such women? Or do they stare and ogle them, knowing that nobody, outside of their hypocritical frum sinners, can see what they are doing? All the while, these guys wear their bekeshes and streimels to show that they are proud to be "frumme Yidden" and they think that they are making a "kiddush Hashem" -- when, in fact, the opposite is true. Proof that a gambling casino is a disreputable place is that even the "goyishe" New Jersey state gaming authorities do not allow people under 21 to enter there, and these "frum" men would never dream of bringing their wives and children to such a place. But it's OK to bring their own neshomas to such a shmutzidik place (or to a strip club or a porno shop, or to solicit whores down under the BQE near "Villiamsbooorg" -- so long as you make a "kiddush Hashem" by wearing your Heimishe clothing while you do it!
Have brothels lost their appeal in the age of AIDS? Do baalei/boaley aveirah actually WANT to get caught? Maybe they really are baalei teshuva/maybe they really are stupid. I don't know. Before the RCA pats itself on the back (helloooooo, basil herring, hellooooo, helooooooooo, mark dratch) consider how long it took them to take action, only because of outsiders. The internet was a factor in that case too. So, what we see is that while the rest of the world responds to the new realities, the fakest of the frum, i mean, the frummest of the frum, resorts to imagining that the ghetto walls are still standing. They are safe within the four ells of halaka, where flunkies rise for them, l'kovod haToireh, because the herd follows. The RCA is largely irrelevant. The OU is big business, the rca is merely an extra appendage. The Agoooooodah is a bigger business. amechod should take over ownership of mishpoche magazine (with high subscription rates and no tv, a great market to exploit). Their website is assurdik. Marvin Schick understands that dick is assur and jonathan rosenblum etc. can point to our unique family life, especially large numbers of chareidi children at risk. His days of influence are numbered. The Jewish Week's days of influence are numbered. If it wasn't for UJA, Gary would be selling their ads. You've changed the playing field, uoj, thanks to the internet, God's little acre. In the end, truth prevails whether anyone WANTS to get caught or simply gets caught. Everyone is capable of being a "disgusting pervert" if they lose self control. How much credit do you, anyone, wish to take for how well you've succeeded in battling your yetzer hara? You're a liar too. Al ta'amin b'atzm'cha ad yom mos'cha. Arrogance is unbecoming uoj's beeyooteeful Jewish nation.
boog is right why dont they just go to bada bing or some other strip crap
In defense of Rabbi Eisman- as Mashgiach it is his responsibility to check out whether or not the Bochrums "Have zits Flaish"
"Drive up and down 3rd-4th Ave in Brooklyn any night where the strip joints are and the hookers hang out."
Is that Boog's idea of a "scenic drive"?
"Mordy Tendler is a mafioso."
Consider this list of goons and corrupt "batei din" that Tendler has used to silence and intimidate his critics.
Hillel Tendler, attorney-brother in Baltimore.
Gershon Tennenbaum, indicted felon and director of Iggud Harabbonim.
Hersh Ginzburg, eccentric fellow from Agudas Harabbonim with a penchant for calling inflammatory press conferences.
Gershon Spiegel, bottom feeder of the toen industry, who was last seen in a fight with misapalelim of the Lower East Side's Roumanian Shul after he tried profiteering off the building by listing it on eBay for $15 million.
The Editorial Board of the Jewish Press. No further explanation needed here, although it should be noted that Yaakov Klass is also Vice President of the Iggud Harabbonim.
Simcha Weinberg, brother of pedophile Matis and Tendler cousin. A nobody Am Haaretz from Riverdale who was reportedly thrown out of Lincoln Square Synagogue for improprieties.
Idiot. The first amendment doesnt specifically guarantee your right to remain anonymous. It only allows you to be as stupid as you like in print, a right you and Jewish whistle blower have exercised to the maximum, it seems.
What's the matter - afraid of a little negative publicity?
Schmuck.
Beleive me, lots of us out here are DYING to find out who you are - you're such a great man after all. We'd love to give you the respect and adoration you deserve.
Can we just call this the Korach Vemdsoi Blog"
The amusing part about all of this is that I'm absolutely certain, without any doubt whatsoever, that if people did discover who I am, (not really hiding at all-leaving clues all over the place) THEY would conceal it because of the huge amount of credibilty that I have within and outside the Orthodox Jewish communities.
Maybe UOJ can start a new entry with a scan of Marvin Schick's piece in the Jewish Week. I haven't read it and I wonder if that puts Marvin on UOJ's shit list.
"The amusing part about all of this is that I'm absolutely certain, without any doubt whatsoever, that if people did discover who I am, (not really hiding at all-leaving clues all over the place) THEY would conceal it because of the huge amount of credibilty that I have within and outside the Orthodox Jewish communities. "
After they find out who you our you will not have any creditibilty in my eyes. To say the least about you you are not very modest. Since everytrhing you have reportd seems to be years old where were you until now?
Uh huh. Delusions of grandeur? I'm SOOOOOOOOO important that if people found out who I was, they'd flock to my cause!
Your lack of doubt is telling - it speaks to a complete loss of touch with reality. Your constant protestations of how important you are, how many boards you sit on and how many weddings you go to in a month speak to a narcissism poorly hiding a profound lack of self worth. By the way - if you go to so many weddings and can't stand the jews you see there fressing and the over the top celebration and the violation of the takkonos and the bad rabbis officiating - why bother going to weddings at all?
Of course, your immense public stature explains why you're going to such great lengths to keep it a secret. (hints my rear end.)
What might a lawsuit reveal - that you're a midlevel corporate hack divorced with no real prospects in life?
That you're a corrupt heir to a real estate fiefdom built on more corruption and sliminess?
That youre an overweight out of work guy who spends ALL his time posting on the internet and that you met JWB in a chat room for disenfranchised losers?
That you didnt REALLY get smicha the old fashioned way (unless sitting in a draft dodger yeshiva for a few years counts as old fashioned?)
I suggest that you keep it a secret because its a way for you to don a superhero gvir persona and live a twisted fantasy outside your own pathetic life. If people knew who you were, you'd just be another shmo with a blog.
G-d bless Mechon Lehoroyo. Finally a beis din that puts Gershon Spiegel in his place.
"We Orthodox Jews are not freaks in a sideshow and our purpose on
earth is not to serve as punching bags, as week after week, bigots
with pens are given ink and space.
re: sexual abuse:
"I am certain that the number of incidents at Orthodox schools is
low, which doesn't discount the wrongdoing when it does. By the same
token, we must not discount the absence of cases during an extended
period of time of intense public scrutiny on the subject."
"Orthodox Jews are far ana away the most vilified of all Jews and
among the most vilified people on earth. No other American group
experieces what we Orthodox experience, often from other Jews."
Tell that to black people, poor people, and immigrants. PRICK.
So let me get this straight, Marvin. Is this a veiled attack on UOJ?
> This is pretty funny!

I intercepted this e-mail from Mahvin to his brother Arthur:
UOJ
Arthur,
Stay out of this putz. I told you to stay in Boro Park and rile up the police by calling them anti-semites. We need to split up the family business into territories, you handle the sweaty, smelly Jews in Brooklyn, I'll handle the sophisticated journalists and bloggers.
Any fresh cheese cake from the bakery today?
I dunno, Arthur. Maybe a better question is why Marvin gets so many outlets to toot his horn.
Tell Mahvin that his bakery sells day old bread as fresh! Give 'em hell!
mschick@mindspring.com
UOJ gets the stale cheese cake at Schick's for half off.
I hope the bakery doesn't send me the stale crap. I have a serious catering business to run.
here's another lovely bit by UOJ (from sept 05) where he advocates getting gangs together to abort fetuses in pregant wives of people he considers "criminals":
This is the way it could work.
You zero in on the families of known thieves ,molesters and FAKE gedolim.
The Sanhedrin led by me forces them to use birth control.
We establish a police squad, of course led by me, sort of like Shomrim.
If their wives get pregnant chas v'shalom, the Sanhedrin (led by me) proclaims "Din Sotah"- and you know the rest of the story.....
A little nazi-ish, anyone? I'm kind of scared by the sick mind that dreamed this up. Maybe you should make them dance and then shoot them into pits, you sicko.
Be good sports and send the day old stuff to David and the other Frankel shul inmates at Otisville.
UOJ,
The more I read you the more my opinion goes up of you. I was real impressed how you say you intercept people's e-mails. I can't wait until they find out who you are.
UOJ's philiosophy doesn't sound much different than the Bob Grant Mandatory Sterilization Act of 1974.
Stale stuff at Schick's for half off? Why have you guys been keeping this a secret? Fat Hungarians just love more stuff to fress for less. I'd better get down there before Margo finds out and clears them out.
Still no word from us at Torah Umesorah about molestation of children, as we're too busy issuing testimonials about the good food we fill our stomachs with.
Anon is in effect attacking the Rambam who does have pretty negative things to say about those people. In any case, I know for a fact that UOJ has been deleting racist posts.
Uh oh, looks like UOJ has hit a nerve somewhere and has RATTLED A FEW CAGES. The Kool-Aid Drinkers' Brigade is out now in full force, giving him all kinds of grief -- hoping that by calling him names, questioning his bonafides and accusing him of racism and other sins, they DIVERT ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE YESHIVAS COVERING UP FOR PERVERTS LIKE KOLKO, EISEMAN, THE GUY AT GERRER, AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY DOZENS MORE, not to mention their enablers and accomplices at the schools, at Agudah, at Torah U'Mesora, among "revered gedolim" and in the corrupt Orthodox print media (Yated, JP, etc) !!!!!
Did Margo fax you guys your daily "talking points"?
I'm overloaded and malfunctioning due to the high volume of outgoing transmissions to Margo's henchmen.
Please call for service.
Margo's paper shredder has also broken down as he tries to destroy all kinds of evidence before prosecutors and the courts get their hands on it.
Is there any way we can get the
GREAT BOB GRANT SHLIT"A back
on the air????
Oh, and don't forget to add all
those Rabbis at Mordy Tendler's
colony in Israel to your list and

YOU FAKER TENDLER- WHERE ALL THE
REST OF THE SHMOOTZ ESCAPES TO.
(UNFORTUNATELY)
There's another case in Baltimore that is being "taken care of" by Rabbis Neuberger. While you are on the phone talking to him about Eisemann, ask him about Yossi Kushner.
Yossi owns Y and L landscaping. Ask Rabbis Neuberger about Yossi and teenage babysitters.
Yossi also was the person who introduced Shmuel Juravel to his wife.
uoj, you are a threat to these people, whether or not you are a low level corporate executive, heir to an arab oilfield sheikdom, a rabbit or anything more (or less). The truth hurts. The best policy: deny! Attack! Be natural, offensive and defensive simultaneously.
UOJ is no tzaddik to "out" a rosh yeshiva, especially an erudite, intelligent, compassionate, intelligent one. But, to be honest, we should all be more appalled by the inaction of those who deliberately covered up problems, if indeed they have, while trumpeting their own superiority. Are they making believe negative publicity isn't hurtful, that as long as they say nothing and ignore the problem, it will go away, only a few will find out, who cares about the rest?
What do fiduciary responsibility and "in loco parentis" mean? Let's ask Y and I, experts.
UOJ
Let us get us our facts straight when we intercept mail.
The Schick family sold the bakery business years ago.
Rabbi Aron Tendler sent a letter to all members of his old Shul sayign that he will no longer answer Shialos, offer advice or officiate at weddings.
When will UOJ go after "Rabbi" Shmuel Fuerst in chicago who cvered up numerosu cases of sex abuse?
Dayan Fuerst.
If you have specific dirt, spill it. Don't cast aspersions in general terms without facts. Don't expect uoj to lift up every garbage pail in America. That's a full time job.
If you can prove your allegations, do so. But, be specific if you are going to the trouble of besmirching the reputation of any corrupt talmid chochom.
How much money does it take to be entitled to heterim with the shtempel of a dayan? Only his baale batim know for sure...
Where is the irate voice of the pride of the farm rosh yeshiva? When his buddy from lakewood stands accused, what does he say? The internet is assur? Everyone who says things against my family name is a rosho? Of course.
He decided the fates of others with a single prejudiced glance, but when situations came close to home, he simply looks the other way. The reason for this eveil is college. That what the cows say.
When will UOJ go after "Rabbi" Shmuel Fuerst in chicago who cvered up numerosu cases of sex abuse?
what kind of cases? boys? girls? little? big? clean? dirty?
Info please!!
I don't know about molestation or inappropriate touching, but I always had one "kashya" on Ner Yisroel about Rav Eiseman. I had heard B'shem Rav Ruderman, that there was a Mesorah from Europe that the subject of masturbation was not to be brought up with bochurim so as neither to condone it nor to intensify the bochurim's feelings of guilt and shame. If so, why is it that Rabbi Eiseman would ask many bochurim about their masturbatory practices? I knew of several cases myself where he did this and have recently heard of two more. It was pretty common knowledge that this is what he did with innocent bochurim. (Of course, none of us was actually masturbating, chas v'shalom). Was there some dispensation to this Takana of the Rosh Yeshiva if the rebbby had personal reasons for wanting to know the sexual secrets of bochurim?
Ask Rabbis Neuberger about Yossi and teenage baby sitters.
Ok, UOJ, now you're really pushing it. Are babysitters off limits too?
Is there no form of sexual abuse which is sacred anymore? Do you have to spoil EVERYBODY's fun? Next thing you know you're going to start attacking incest in the frum community. Come on, already, lighten up....
When will UOJ go after "Rabbi" Shmuel Fuerst in chicago who cvered up numerosu cases of sex abuse?
Not true! Rabbi Fuerst is not the sole voice in Chicago and the incident of which you refer was years AFTER the fact and no longer relevant. The decision to not destroy him was made by a vaad including the local Roshei HYeshiva.
PS. There are none who do more for our city than Rabbi Fuesrt!

That You Tube video on Atheism isn't funny at all. As a matter of fact it's boring and pathetic.
What's the matter Orthorev or whoever you are? Are you afraid to come out and say belief in the Aybishter is also "A DISEASE" ?
----------------------------------
You are right.
Belief in the Aybishter is NOT a DISEASE.
But Being The Aybishters spokesman and saying this is what hashem wants and this is not what hashem wants is YES a DISEASE and pure kefirah.
When will UOJ go after "Rabbi" Shmuel Fuerst in chicago who cvered up numerosu cases of sex abuse? `````````
UOJ,
Its high time you went after That thug FEURST from CHICAGO.
He thinks he took over from where the mafia left off.
He Should be ousted on his fat hairy tush.
He is one huge control freak. Tries controlling Batei dinim and kashrus like a down town chicago thug.
Is this the shmuel Fuerst that covered for that butcher in chicago that molested kids in shul?
what about the butcher that molested meat?
Reb Dovid never asked bochurim about these things. Rabbi Ruderman never discussed the matter with Rav Eiseman, most likely. Maybe that's the problem.
Nothing heard, nothing seen, nothing wrong, nothing there. Like this blog.
Now I get it. Either you agree with a person who thinks they're frummer than you, humming the party line, or you're wrong, a koyfer, a min, an apikores.
I have no doubt that those who dare target corruption in yeshivahs are perceived as the ultimate enemies of Toirah: "al tig'u b'meshichai, eilu tinnokos shel Bais Rabban." But, what of the tinnokois?
Kanoiyim who show achzariyus (worse, avi dear, than this blog) are the best benei Toirah? or the hanhala?
Sheesh. UOJ might stick his nose into Chicago now too? How many arms does this guy have. I thought he was just going to take down a few Brooklyn shysters and that's it. Next you guys will ask him to take down Kim Jong Il in North Korea.
There have been numerous credible complaints and allegations against a yeshiva and a rebbe within an 84.4 mile radius of New York.(approximately)
Anybody with additional information
please contact me at:

Corruption in Chicago is an old story. The Ridvaz had to run out of the city over a hundred years ago on Shabbos when he tried to expose the mafia that was selling treif as kosher. He received credible reports they were coming to kill him, so he split faster than Margo gulps down a pot of chulent.
84 miles from NYC sounds like either Fallsburg, Scranton or the vocational yeshiva in Lancaster County, PA.
It seems that Roshei Yeshiva and administrators forgot the posuk of 've'heyisem nekiym m'Hashem u'm'yisroel' - be clean from God and from the Jews. A yeshiva must be run in a fashion that God is happy with and that the Jews are also happy with. Moshe rabeinu himself made a public accounting of all the money that was collected for the Mishkan (transparency) and he went in and out of the lishka without hems or pockets. Why do our institutions not have a policy of transparency and open books, and why do they hush up issues of child molestation and sweep it under the rug?
Look at the Chasam Sofer on that posuk - it's frightful. He explains that the 2 shevatim were exiled first b/c they didn't fulfill the second half of the above posuk. Since there were some Jews who felt that they didn't do enough to fight the 7 nations they were exiled first. Even though God knew that they did keep their promise. Leaders who mislead their communities have a special place waiting just for them.
Actually, our intelligence intercepts tell us that North Korea fired the missiles this week and has been acting erraticly ever since they became concerned that UOJ might try to take them out.
UOJ also had us invoke Article V after the attack on yeshiva kids by Kolko and Margo. An attack on one of us means the entire alliance rises to defend it's allies.
UOJ,
Is this yeshiva of 84 miles from ny located in conn.?
uoj,
is this 84 mile from ny yeshiva in conn?
HELP! Please let me stick my head back in the sand! Hashem Yerachem!
waterbury is exactly 84.4 miles from new york. oh shit...
Dont tell me its waterbury . i sure hope it isnt.
Waterbury wants a Mikvah
----------------------------------
Repam: Members of Waterbury’s growing Orthodox Jewish enclave hope to turn a little gray ranch-style home at the end of Roseland Avenue into a place of ritual purification, further cementing their community’s future in the city.First, they need permission of the Zoning Board of Appeals. The house lies in a Residential Low Density zoning district, where only single- and two-family homes would be allowed under city building rules. The group that bought the house hopes to use an exemption that allows houses of worship to establish virtually anywhere.
The house is slated to become a Mikvah, essentially a place of ritual purification that contains a pool in which visitors dip themselves. Orthodox Jewish women are required to visit a week after their menstrual cycles. Men often visit before important holy days.
Shalom Siegfried, vice president of the Orthodox Jewish school known as Yeshiva Gedolah, said the Mikvah is necessary for the relatively new Orthodox community.
“The community had one at B’nai Shalom (Synagogue), but with the growth of the community, it’s just inadequate to service the community,” Siegfried said. “Especially because the community expects to grow.”
In 2001, a small Orthodox community was invited to lease the former University of Connecticut campus on Hillside Avenue to establish its religious school, Yeshiva Gedolah. The agreement between the Yeshiva and the city came with conditions, including that the Orthodox community bring in 100 families within seven years. Less than six years later, that goal has been exceeded.
Erica Lesser, a 24-year-old transplant from New Jersey, bought the little gray ranch for $143,900 in April. Six days later, it was transferred without payment to a limited liability corporation known as the Waterbury Community Mikvah LLC. Lesser said she isn’t supposed to talk about the property transfer, though she reiterated the need for a new Mikvah.
The current one, inside the synagogue, only has one room in which women can bathe, dress, pray and prepare for their immersion, Lesser said. Organizers plan to have five times as many in the new facility.
“There are a lot of women who have to go some times on the same night, and in the summer you can’t start sometimes until 8:30 or 9 (p.m.), and it takes an hour, so it can go very late,” Lesser said.
Even though the Mikvah is a religious use, it still is subject to certain building codes and on July 19, representatives for the Waterbury Community Mikvah LLC will ask the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals for a few waivers.
The 8,945-square-foot lot is only about one-fourth the size normally required for a property hosting a religious structure, and the house doesn’t meet setback requirements from the street or its neighbors.
These restrictions were put in place to mitigate noise issues associated with churches and other houses of worship that would host large crowds in short periods, City Planner James Sequin said. Here, the planned use would have far less impact on neighbors than was anticipated under zoning rules, he said.
“This is not going to be a synagogue with congregations of people coming,” Sequin said. “It’s not like a bathhouse. It’s not like a health spa. It’s like a purification ceremony done by appointment.”
The little gray ranch at 186 Roseland Ave. sits just behind a 7-Eleven convenience store, separated by high bushes. There is a doctor’s office and hair salon in a one-story brick building across the street. The B’nai Shalom Synagogue sits next to this small commercial strip.
Nearby residents give the proposal a mixed review. Two neighbors said they were worried it will increase competition for on-street parking. Several others, however, said the Orthodox families that have moved into the neighborhood in recent years have proven good property owners and neighbors.
“They have been very nice calling me and telling me what they are going to do,” said 80-year-old Allyne Kadish, who has lived next to the proposed Mikvah for 50 years. “I just got off the phone with them asking what I could do to help (at the ZBA hearing.)”
Kadish said she has noticed many of the large old homes in the neighborhood blossoming under the care of newly arrived Orthodox families.
“The neighborhood is full of them,” said Jose Figueroa, who bought a nearby house on Lexington Street last year. “I have no problem with them. They keep their houses nice. They keep to themselves. They’re great.”
uoj strikes fear into those who do not fear the L-rd enuf.
But, the Agudah has nothing to fear because they are above that.
After the Rebbe committed his evil acts wasn't he full of remorse? Why didn't he act on that remorse and remove himself from the temptation. After all that is the first step. Someone on a diet shouldn't work in a bakery - we all know that. A true adom godol and baal mussar would have left his position which surrounded him with the yetzer hora and would have accepted a position at the girls school, or as a garbage collector. Or in this case, as a writer for any publication - he is a talented man.
If somebody thinks they have hadracha and chiddushim to give over and they must have access to bachurim so that Toirah doesn't expire (WWII and all that), then they can go live in New Zealand (with the zealots) and upload their stuff onto the internet, or they can write books for artcroll. But why would such an individual continue to stay in the gan eden with the tapuach from the eitz ha'daas in his hands? Where is the common sense and where is the integrity?
everybody knows somebody with ties to 84.4.
but, without proof, uo, these are dangerous waters. The only way these allegations have teeth is if a police report is filed, mandatory under the law, dina d'malchusa... a mitzvah.
A hand on a backside isn't pleasant to endure. I've had the unwanted experience, but that isn't grounds for a charge of rape. Be responsible even as you feel responsible. To accuse the innocent is a terrible sin. Get hard evidence and you're a kiddush Hashem. Hearsay is just hearsay.
whaddya say?
Being a rebbe or a mechanech is a privilege, not a right. It's not a parnossah either. It's a privilege - sh'samta chelkaynu mi'yoshvei beis hamedrash - that's a ho'daah that people in learning say every morning.
When a rebbe wrecks the life of a few good men then he has forfeited that privilege. He should remove himself from his post and other should remove him as well. Those that enable him to stay on are also lacking the proper respect and awe that is required for such a position, and they too should be fired. If everyone at NI knew about this abuse and no one raised their voice in protest like Yisro, or at least ran away like Iyov, then they should be fired and the Yeshiva should close down. Hashem has no nachas ruach from such a corrupt place.
If the generators blow every other week and the yeshiva has no lights, then David Friedman deserves a second chance. But if a rebbe blows his bochurim every other week, then the whole place should be burned down.
Yossie:
Great Point!
Like a house of cards the filth and corruption are tumbling down.
Don't stop UOJ!!!
There been allegations of abuse against two more members of the NIRC staff. Anyone with credible information please e-mail me at:
a_unorthodoxjew@yahoo.com
I just don't get it. When R Ahron Feldman accepted his post he did due dilligence. He inspected the dorm rooms and the grounds. He complained about the basketball courts and the microwaves in the rooms, not to mention the computers in the katz and the phones in the gudelsky.
Why the hell did he not make a stink about the child molesters?!? Who was he kidding? And now he is suffering for that, b/c if I was him I would be emabarrassed to say I was the RY of that orgy house. I would be embarrassed to wake up in the morning or look in the mirror. I bet he'll take a cue from his brother and retire to EY very soon. His work is done here.
NORAD is monitoring for any signs of rebbeyim molesting children and will immediately pass on reports of any incoming attacks to UOJ.
One blip on our radar screen that is still raising an alarm is on Ocean Parkway. UOJ promised that Margo had not heard the last of him. What is happening on that front?
I heard Jeff herman is going to be Margo's guest at Silver Lake For Shabbos Nachmu.
He didn't invite me; I changed my mind the prick is not "a man of honor!"
Registration, Fingerprinting, DNA sample for any person hired by our Yeshivas has to be made compulsory not voluntary.
The way to do it is to put teeth into the Law. Revocation of Tax Exempt status and all forms of financial aid.
Same rules and requirements for our
yeshivas as for the Public School System.
oi vei. oi vei.
Yussie, eloquent as you are, cid you blow someone's
cover?
Is that fair?
Isn't this premature? You need hard evidence before you do things like that, like an independent investigation. Kids can lie. (I can hear tuvi now). And then again, kids can be refreshingly honest. Most individuals do not have this experience in yeshiva, thank Gd. There is obviously a strong yetser hara to commit to'evah, even as there is a strong yetser hara to fall into zenus. Rachav ha-zoinah, the Targum translates as a pundak lady. Hazan es hakol doesn't want us finding sustenance in wasteful, deviant ways, straight or otherwise, yet to be zoneh after ta'avah is to seek sustenance. What does this say about marriages? We're not even in the drei vochen yet, and already, bad news.
If nirc ignores these efforts, they are not only weak and hypocritical, but ineffectual, unworthy of Slabodka, not the baalei mussar, and simply bad. Herman was part of this. This is his legacy. Is there pride on the farm?
Waterbury has a biggggg problem in the bais medrash.
mr. oi vei oi vei,
What does your first paragraph have to do with your second? You seem a little schizophrenic. Is that why you wrote oi vie twice?
At least Waterbury is the only frum community with affordable housing. Maybe UOJ should first target greedy real estate speculators in Brooklyn and Lakewood.
Is there pride on the farm?
as long as its cholov yisroel
and now they only serve yoshon and pas yisroel with the hot dogs
What was that about real estate speculation?

Any of you that bought cell phones from this guy, check your bills.
There was a weird story in a COnnecticut newspaper about the Waterbury yeshiva renting out their gym to Arabs to play basketball. I hope no one yells Allah Akbar and blow the place to kingdom come.

correct link.
It's consensual only when there is four years or less age difference. Obviously, this is generally grounds for dismissal.
But, the numbers have to be low. Statistically, this only affects a small segment of the population. Most people are straight. But, whom do we blame for lack of self control? America?
Boog, the name Vaknin is Maroccan. What do you expect from a Frank?
R. Eisemann on R. Carlebach

mr. oiv answers, "if I am speaking from both sides of my mouth, it's becuz i'm fair, honest, straight. And to be that, you have to be open minded, not swayed by your own preconceived notions of truth, non judgemental. I am averse to outing people by name unless it's already a davar yadua. UOJ is giving institutions a chance to deal with their mess, b'tsinah. He's good. He's also honest, if not as generously fair as some of these institutions (tuvi included) would like him to be.
It is bad news, a sad reflection on the best of the Jewish people, a nation without self control. The Greeks went down for this fatal flaw. Their civilization was decadent. Ner Israel doesn't represent modern Orthodoxy, schizophrenic as their two tracks are (college and fake frum). Rather, they represent materialistic Orthodoxy, as has Lakewood in recent years. I agree. We should be focusing on greed, the taiva for mammon, kavod, gaivoh, the biggest fatal flaws.
gaiva on the farm, a nice brand name.
Remember that famous story of the Israeli in Starrett City, Brooklyn, who was arrested for cloning cell phones? The story goes like this. Maintainence people at a City owned building spotted a strange antenna they knew was intercepting cell signals. They called the Secret Service who investigates those crimes. Even the Manhattan DA Morgenthau had his phone hijacked when he was driving by on the Belt Parkway. A place on Kings Hwy under the joke kashrus of Dovid Katz was selling the cloned phones with unlimited stolen airtime to Mirrer bochurim. I threw them out when I found out about it.
can someone please fill me in with whats going on in waterbury?
its really important as i have a close blood relative there in the high school
Asher, I'll never forgive your father Rav Shraga Moishe for throwing me out of the Mir. Was it really so bad that I told restaurants that I'm the "Mirrer Mashgiach" ?
Call Rabbi Kaufman. He is perfectly aware of the problem.
x talmid , what should i ask kaufman. i need some insight before i call him.
Torah Umesorah told him UOJ is going public about a guy who freaked me out there, a total sicko that scared the shit out of me. Woke me up in middle of the night.no more. call kaufman.I told kaufman and he did nothing. I left.
Dovid Katz you loser, Lazer Ginzburg wants to give you a frask for giving your teudah to that Israeli night club with the mixed dancing. And stop chasing Reb Shmuel Berenbaum when he takes a shpatzir. All you do is drey him a kop.
It's no wonder Shia Fishman resigned. He knew that shit was going to hit the fan all over the place. All the splatter that's about to emerge is going to make dry cleaning bills murder for whoever is currently at the helm of Torah Umesorah.
In all fairness to Rav Aharon Feldman, his comments on that movie, trembling (movies are assur, i know) show that he's an intelligent, experienced, compassionate realist. He doesn't have to leave unless he wants to. He is not responsible for situations which predate his arrival and which are beyond his control. Rav Eisemann is a chashuva Yid. period. If he's flawed, he's human. If others have done avla, they are human. They shouldn't be around young bodies, but are deserving of understanding. I don't see why Rabbi Feldman has to be the fall guy for situation tolerated by Rabbi Herman Neuberger.
Lets make up stuff about people and see if uoj posts it.
Hey, Hey, UOJ!
How many kids have you SAVED today?
Speaking of Lazer G., a post that stated earlier that he stopped the Puerto Rican parties in Eitz Chaim is not true. You can give him credit for trying. He wrestled with the Modern Orthodox board and had it out with Rabbi Yankel Reisman from Lawrence, who insisted that his ARK Kashrus only pertains to food and not environment. It was someone else I won't name who stopped the parties. After Shmuel Friedler approached a neighborhood macher for help, the macher learned of a Hungarian lady from Boro Park who acted as a party planner for the caterer and liason to the Ricans. She was warned that if there is one more party in the shul that signs will go up all over B.P. about her. You could say that she got the message.
Is this what Reb Yissachar Frand was alluding to at the Siyum Hashas, when he asked "Vas Vet Zeyn Mit De Kinder?"
Does he have any words of wisdom now to explain what's going on?
UOJ is in an unpleasant position. He is seeing results, finding dirt in the laundry. It's sad, very sad, nothing to crow about.
And, he's cleaning house. This is not a bad thing if you're a parent or a bochur. If gay talmidim want to attend a gay yeshiva, I guess they are entitled to, although the enrollment will probably be very low. Most people who sink into aveira drop Judaism. Once you let go, you fall. "Orthodox" gays would probably argue that they are only mummar l'davar echad. Maybe they are; I don't know, but this is an issur kores, not a light matter. It's good, I think, that everyone be reminded that issurim are just that. Tuvi, (les mahn d'palig) would have to agree. S
oon we'll see hamodia giving center page space to uoj, thanking him for giving mussar to the oilam. yasher koyach uo, a grosser yasher koyach to amechod.
Mesoiras avoysaynu b'yadaynu.
This blog is revenge on the mohel who did too goood of a job on ouj.
Any thought, UOJ, on what Rav Ruderman, ZT"L would have done about Eiseman? Is there anyone left in NIRC who would like to preserve his legacy?
That line is vintage Elya Svei, not Yissocher Frand. The Philly robots went running every year to the Agudah convention to hear the line chazerred ibber.
How can you ask such a question? Rav Ruderman in what stage of his career? He loved learning. That was his focus. Someone else was responsible for more mundane affairs. We've heard how he dealt with it. If the blog is to believed, the bochur who made an accusation was labelled a bum and kicked out.
Vataki ha-oretz es yosh'veha...
that's what happens when we ignore devar Hashem.
But, there's always teshuvah for everyone, unless there's too much pride on the farm.
Rav Eiseman was in Philly before NIRC. I wonder how much "Hashpaa" he had on bochurim there? I wonder if the Philly Hanhalla knew of his proclivities? Maybe that's how he ended up out in Bal'more.
Was Rabbi yossi Tendler and (Rabbi) weisbord and Rabbi Frand aware of Eismanns actions?
Based on what I'm told, the Europeans did NOT understand the signs of sexual abuse.
According to the blog, Rabbi Neuberger was told, not Rav Ruderman. Do you think Herman would have consulted with the Rosh on this issue, or acted unilaterally? Was Rav Ruderman even alive at the time?
Did sexual abuse not happen in Europe? I've heard that children were kept away from the Mikvas there. Shlomo Hamelech says, nothing new under the sun....
Yes, abuse has been around in Europe, nobody talked about it.
Rabbis Tendler, Weisbord and Frand are Europeans.
There was no European version of UOJ? Oh yeah, there was no internet. D'oh!
Therefore, uoj, I don't believe the Europeans "don't get it." They get it. They just don't want to believe it, deal with it, or want to imagine the worst to be true. They are ordered.
But, there's more to life than sexual abuse. Isn't there another scandal you can uncover to divert the world's attention? Tuvi might be able to help.
Is it true that there is a cottage industry in Borough Park of photography touch up to put sheitlich on the old pictures of litvishe women from the Alte Haym who went without Kisuy Rosh?
Could be. The frum ones certainly covered their hair. The winds of modernity were already blowing before the war, people from frum families driving on Shabbos. The majority of survivors' children who weren't frum aren't frum. The exceptions are few.
Boruch Hashem for the fake frum yidden.
Am segula.
I will keep posting sexual abusers and their enablers until something serious is done about both the molesters and the rishaim that are covering it up!
Sheinmberg , feldman and twersky are american too.
uoj . who is covering up in waterbury? and what is beimg covered up/
Very bad news in Waterbury. There will be a major post Wednesday at midnight unless the guy is fired!
Those who covered up didn't think they were being reshoyim. They thought they were tzaddikim. Are you certain you might not have done the same thing if you were in their place? If it was your neighbor, your friend, your relative?
Al tadin... ad shetagia lim'komo. The people you're outing and taking on are not people you interact with every day. I'm not justifying the cover ups. Nobody can. But, we can understand them. Tuvi holds we are causing tza'ar. That's where he's holding. Bei him. They see families, children, innocent bystanders. They want to be kind and cover up the dirt. They want to spare talmidei chachamim busha. There can be no delight in humiliating choshuva people.
But, then comes along Country Yossie with an eloquent, rational counter argument, the same one uoj is upholding, and it's hard to argue with what is more important to the klal: schools which are safe, innocent, and pure.
One can make a livelihood doing many things. One can live anywhere. Lives can be ruined, sullied, filled with self doubt, self loathing, problems, for someone else's libido? It doesn't add up. The Agoooodah should ask the moetzes what Rav Elyashiv thinks.
Rabbi Neuberger A"H was European.
And of course Yibadel, Rabbi Marguleis still is.
I don't think UOJ is right that the Europeans needed more info about abuse in order to act. They just needed to hear the facts.
tue. 12 am or wed 12 am?
Why don't they (YTT, Baltimore, Waterbury) just fire the stupid molester? Am I naive for wondering why yehsivas are so backward? I really can't understand.
What I meant to say was that giants like R' Ruderman probably couldn't fathom the machla....Maybe I'm naive.
Not menuvalim like Margulies who couldn't give a crap.
Ad'rabba. Giants COULD fathom any machla without being so scared of the yeshiva's "image". Rav Ruderman didn't know. I'm sure HE would have cared, understood, and acted accordingly, and not worried about P.R.
One can make a livelihood doing many things. One can live anywhere. Lives can be ruined, sullied, filled with self doubt, self loathing, problems, for someone else's libido? It doesn't add up. The Agoooodah should ask the moetzes what Rav Elyashiv thinks.
Rav Elyashiv is suffering from the beginning stages of senility . You must ask someone that understands the issue at hand .
moshiach will be here by then, it doesn't make much difference.
You're waiting for salacious details? if so, shame on you.
You're looking for the bizayon of a Rebbe? a Toirah moisad? if so, Shame on you.
You represent them? You should be acting before then.
But, if you're simply a fan of uoj? Good for you. Good for him, too, becuz he's getting results others haven't and can't.
sorry, avi, he's really representing am echod (frummer too).

Why don't they (YTT, Baltimore, Waterbury) just fire the stupid molester? Am I naive for wondering why yehsivas are so backward? I really can't understand.
-------------------------------
Very simple reason.
If they fire him ,it puts the whole hanahala in a very guilty and bad light. If it wasnt for the bad rep that they would get they would have gotten rid of him ages ago.
You think rav weinberg and weisbord want to look bad?
of course not. so they shtoop it under the carpet and hope that noone will notice . That was untill UOJ came along.
Did Zweibel and company know there are molesters in multiple yeshivos? Did they plead with them to act like when they told Margo to do something before UOJ gets into high gear and it explodes out of control?
Rav Ruderman certainly could fathom the machala. Anyone who has read Chumash or attends shul on Yom kippur can fathom the machla. The Vilna Gaon admitted he had a big yezer hara. Who doesn't? I've seen stupid people with what they thought was a big yetzer hara. Everyone is tested, each in a different way. The baal gaivah knows he's great and can tell you why. He will. He does. He rationalizes his behavior. We all do. Rabbi Ruderman was areingeton in lernen all day long. He knew who the bums were in Slabodka. He could imagine what bums do and become. He was a tzaddik and didn't abuse his position. But, you'd have to ask Rabbis Simcha or Mattis to really know. They would know.
to anon,
But that doesn't answer the question. NO. It doesn't make any other member of the hanhalla look bad if one of them is a bad apple. The rest of them only become complicit when they hear about it and don't act. Why do they worry about guilt by association? It's so immature.
Zweibel is requesting that UOJ impose a nightly curfew on this blog. The poor guy is popping Rolaids like candy while he stays up every night late to catch all the breaking news here.
UOJ is our present day Shimon and Levy combined. He goes after not only the Schem, but the entire community of enablers.
i was kidding about the moetzes. If they can't decide matters on their own, it's pretty sad. In general, though, they use sechel more than texts in their decision making. That's the dirty little secret: da'as Toireh is sechel, not ruach ha-koidesh (of course, you'll argue, that IS ruach hakoidesh, and of course, you're right. You always are. Everything your rebbe says is mipi hagevurah ne'emro, even if he says nice pants)
What drives me absolutely crazy is that Baltimore had two months notice to retire Eiseman and avoid this. I just don't get it!
If he actually has heart problems, they could have told him to retire with that excuse. They could have avoided having him outed and exposed and all the suffering of his family. They don't care about the victims, they don't care about the abusers, they don't care about the reputation of their own yeshiva. What the F*** DO they care about?
Oh, yeah, they want to be "Ovdei Hashem".
1. They underestimated the power of the internet and overestimated their own.
2. They are used to being addressed with kavod, obsequiously. On the internet, potshots are fair game.
3. They respond to crises, not potential crises.
4. Their "board" couldn't decide what to do.
5. They didn't and don't want to have to pay anyone, anything.
6. To admit wrongdoing, problems etc. after the success of their big dinner runs counter to their plans.
7. Who are you, anyway? They're big. They're huge. They're bigger than that (and don't want to hurt anyone, espeically themselves. What would Papa say? He would say, who is this uoj? Maybe we can get a contribution? Double that).
People felt that Rabbi Kolko must have had some shmutz on Margolis with which he blackmailed him to support and defend Kolko. But that theory doesn't seem to pan out. Did Margo really believe he was innocent? But even though, why not fire him for the good of the yeshivas reputation? It doesn't add up.
Same thing with NIRC. What dirt could Eiseman possibly have on them tha would stop them from forcing him out for the good of EVERYONE involved.
Maybe Ortho Rev should revise it:
Being a Rosh Yeshiva is a mental disorder???
I'm sorry it still doesn't add up to me. MENTAL DISORDER!
Attention Rabbi M's Daughter,
I don't know if you are still reading UOJ, but on the chance that you are, by any chance were you handing out bananas this morning?
UOJ-
Could you give us some details of what your spies are saying is going on in Aguda and TU as the public humiliation of yeshiva after yeshiva is taking place. Are they working on a game plan, or praying that UOJ goes away, or what?
I got to go to sleep already, but I just want to point out one thing. When the YU Rosh Yeshivas blew it big time with the Lanner affair, they apologized publicly in the Beis Medrash to victims and community. They said they would take a new approach. And Rabbi Blau has become the #1 Rabbinic advocate for victims. He helped victims of Matis Weinberg and Mordechai Tendler.
Aren't there ANY rabbis of the more "right wing" world with similar integrity, faith and understanding?
Mitavas they have taken out of the Torah:
1) Lo Saamod Al Dam Reyecha
2) Midvar Sheker Tirchak
3) UBearta hara Mkirbecha
4) Mitzvas Tshuva
5) A little-known "inyan" called "Vahavta Lreyacha Kamocha"
Are the yeshivas the real reform jews?
I will refuse to put up another comment about Eiseman being a talmud chacham.
Who really cares? Is that the point? He ruined lives and should have never be permitted to stay at NIRC after the first complaint was verified to be true.
Only a yu person would make such a comment. Reform Jews? They see the rabbeim as victims, and all those mitzvos applying to them. Part of the problem is that damage from abuse isn't well understood. This is the task of Rabbi Mark Dratch of jsafe. He must preach his best sermon to sway the multitudes. He must convince the international community to finance his noble work to see an oylam hofuch reformed.
Okay, uoj, it's your blog, your call, your game.
But, if that's your position, then let's call it like it is. The responsibility for that decision rests with one person alone, your beloved Rabbi Herman Neuberger, zecher tzaddik livracha, who didn't use make-up or take speech lessons, but who WAS the Agooodah. And, this is his legacy.
Yes....it tears me up...I can't even ask him
WHY??????????????????????
No. I'm not a Talmid of YU. I'm someone who learned in black hat yeshivas who now wishes he would have learned in YU. If I would have gotten abused there, maybe someone would have stuck up for me.
What is the Hetter for the right wing yeshivas to be so ignorant in these Mitzvas to not understand the very simple idea that they apply to the abused, not the abusers? First of all, they shouldn't need Rabbi Dratch, just some sechel hayashar. Second of all, instead of spending so much time learning about bugs in water, bugs on lettuce, and indian hair in sheitlach, they could learn a little about human compassion, no? Aren't there sources in our Torah that deal with this? Maybe Chovos Halvovos, on issues of Hypocrisy, would be a good place to start.
UOJ- It does NOT really have to tear you up. Does it tear you up that you can't ask Moshe Rabeynu why he hit the rock? Or that you can't ask Avraham Avinu why he said "B'mah Ayda?" Or that you can't ask the Shvatim Hakdoshim why they sold their brother Yosef into slavery? Or that you can't ask Shlomo Hamelech why he allowed his shiksa wives to lead his heart astray B'sof Yamav?
Our holiest jews...HOLIEST of the HOLIEST, were not perfect beings. There is only ONE G-d. At least that's what we say in Shma every day.
Rabbi Neuberger was a Holy Jew, who also made a mistake, and we can't ask him why. But we can be m'saken the mistake. Let's do it!
the why is obvious: self interest. He was a builder, building. This is destructive. He saw the forest, not the trees. The little saplings were to be planted in the dormitories. Every year or two, another building, a bigger one, a nicer one, the nicest one. Very nice. "The hanhola is always right." They used to be.
He was also a prude, I think. If that's what you mean by europeans not getting it, formal, not given to displays. A mashgiach who touches and shows warmth, who is raised to be not a father figure, but a father, yes, more important than any parent, for the rebbe it was part of the role playing. Any touching was intimacy, not sexual, but closeness, a bond. That's the fantasy, I guess, part of the baggage of the yeshiva world. Der Alter of Slabodka played with people's minds. I'm not certain his methods would pass your scrutiny. He'd end up on your blog. His being a talmud chochom would be irrelevant. He created Rav Hutner as well as Rav Ruderman, one more complicated than the other. Rabbi Neuberger meant well, but the klal was always on his mind and in his universe, the yeshiva was the klal, was the community, was the Jewish people, was all that mattered. Period.
If I could talk to him and explain to him what I learned over the past year, he certainly would have retired Eiseman. I know..I know....why??????????????????????? Rav Naftali zt"l WHY??????????????
Sheftel....Shraggy.....Why did you make me do this???? WHY??????????
UOJ,
Ashrecha, Ma Tov Chelkecha!!! Keep up the great work!! However, I must point out that you weren't the first to expose "Rabbanim" and open the eyes of a community to the perverse cycle of abuse, corruption, and cover-up that is being perpetrated against us. I pre-dated you by at least 3 years in taking on some Chicago gangsters(mentioned earlier in your blog), Danny & Margie Shabat who molested my son, and a whore/"rabbi" who defended them, Shmuel Fuerst. You can read all about it on MY website,
http://www.projecttruth.info/thomas.html
Don't be so sure about that. A little self doubt is healthy.
He was ehrlich in his own strict accounting of ehrlichkeit. Given a choice between divrei haRav and divrei hatalmid, guess whose opinion would carry the day? Yours? I think not.
He was a pragmatist. If he thought public opinion would go against him, as it is right now, both in the larger American scene through project PROTECT, the little girl act etc. and this blog, the power of this blog he'd have understood very well and yes, with the threat of undermining everything he'd built, if he couldn't threaten you with cheirem and bully you into accepting his opinion, he'd do whatever you say. He'd be convinced. He'd say the right things and privately sigh over a perceived loss of face, self image, public image, integrity. He'd be disappointed in you and anyone who would threaten his moisad, his yeshiva, the Toireh, That's what his yeshiva is - THE toirah. His yeshiva, da'as Toirah. He believed in da'as Toireh. He believed he represented da'as Toireh, and you can imagine the threats and maamarei chazal which would and could and probably are right now being hurled against anyone (like you, and possibly me) who cause elboyn to toyra. In that view, we are the reshoyim. They are the tzaddikim and their own self interest blinds them. You wouldn't convince him or his children that you are right or righteous, but you have convinced others and yourself. I don't know. I wasn't there. I don't know the details. I cannot judge Rav Eiseman, a great intellect, a basically good hearted man, who is now receiving a kapparah for whatever wrongs he did, if wrongs he did. Life is fair that way and if Rabbi Neuberger's legacy is blemished, he did much good and also receives a kapparah for this bizyonos. It's not so bad and for the sake of the victims whose pain is real, the Ribbono shel Oylom knows yours is the the more honest of the two approaches. You've got a leg to stand on. What will be interesting in the weeks ahead is how the "board" deals with this. I just hope they do the right things, not what's expedient, not what serves primarily their own self interest, but the long term greater interests of the klal Rabbi Naftali Neuberger lived for.
Maybe they needed a shocking awakening to teach them what you say you could have taught their father. But don't feel bad. You can still find ways to teach them that are less drastic. You don't need to only use anger. Reach out to them. Tell them how much Kavod they will earn from our community, and what a great zchus it will be for the memory of their great father if they change the whole approach of the hanhalla on these issues to include a priority for victims feelings.
There is even hope for Rabbi Eiseman himself. Yes, and even for Rabbi Margolis, UOJ! It will not be easy, but as Jews we must believe that Hashem is great enough to accept even their Tshuva, even though they have wreaked so much damage on our people.
Yoshiahu lead our people in the worst, most perverse decadent lifestyle, until he decided to turn it around and became beloved to G-d.
Tshuva, tshuva, tshuva. When will we start? Where do we start?
Let me speak for them even though I do not know them well enough to speak for them and my speaking for them must be perceived as a terrible chutzpah, meridah b'malchus, kanoyim pog'im boi. thank you.
Rabbi S and S, Y and I and E do not perceive themselves as the cause of what YOU have done to THEM!!!! They have their own concerns, continuity, a legacy campaign, fund raising, enrollment, maintainance, competition. A threat on a blog is hardly cause for them to act. Now, it's too late, but to ask them why???????? is probably insulting to them. You can ask them. They might agree with you, hug you, thank you, and everyone lives happily ever after, but that's fairytaleland. You can't fool all of the people all of the time, said Lincoln, and you can't expect to be a muck raker with the result that those you rake love you. They can't. They won't. They probably won't forgive.
Aha, you say, but what about the victims? "WE are the victims now." But this cycle of blame and counterblame and guilt or the lack of it, solves nothing. What's necessary is to ask mechila from ANYONE who has been hurt (and this, ultimately, applies to you and me too, uoj. And mechila, if I must ask for it, even from gaiva on the plain, I request). Okay. They didn't grant it. They're angry, hurt, feeling betrayed, especially from someone who knows them personally, who could give them so much more and now they're mesupek, do we even want his money?
At the end of the day, we come in alone and go out alone and must accept responsibility for what we do. This applies to everyone, including you, uoj. You cannot doubt yourself if your cause is just and you are convinced you have done the right thing. You cannot blame them or anyone else for what you alone have done. Make no mistake: You have done this, you alone. Boog, gross, whoever, whatever, this is your doing and you believe your cause is righteous. Don't look over your shoulder now if you have confidence in your pesak din. You'll answer for it in the bais din shel maaloh and the victims will take your side. Flawed rabbeim will either be machnia themselves before you and din or they won. May you wait until at least one hundred twenty to find out who was really right. But, don't beg them or blame them. Take responsibility. That's what you are asking them to do. We expect you to do the same.
Mandel in this weeks jewish press, front page editorial, has an article about the holocaust. The absurd prposition of his article is that he designates himself a holocaust survivor even though he is not one. Its too wacky to even try to explain.
As we all know Mandel needs some cover right now. Well what better cover than to declare himself a holocaust survivor. Interestingly Margo also hides behind the fact that he is a survivor. Basically if your a survivor there is no evil you can't perpetrate since as a survivor your above reproach.
(Ann coulter had a similar criticism of the 9/11 widows who used their survivor status to propogate their political views without fear of counterattack.)
The overall twisted thinking of all of this nonesense is that rather than address the problem head on -- and maybe resolve it, instead we see all different kinds of shields and smoke screens as to why the perpetrators are above reproach.
Enough already.
I went to NI in the late 1970's. I don't believe a word of this. You also have to question the veracity of someone who claims that both her father AND grandfather molested her. I don't believe it. Sorry.
UOJ wonders why NIRC did not remove R' Eisemann. Simple, really. Because R' Eisemann isn't guilty of any wrongdoing. UOJ is trying to convince everyone he has power when he's really a two bit hack writing sensational blog posts. I could do that as well if I wanted to.
"WHY WHY WHY????" UOJ?
Give me a break. You expect people to admit they were wrong or second guess themselves - tell me how good are YOU at admitting your being wrong?
If someone came and brought clear cut evidence that one of these guys was innocent, do you really think you'd turn around and say "Im sorry, I was wrong?" Of course not - you'd never for an instant imagine you could be wrong. Well the same is true for the neubergers. They might be right, they might be wrong, but like you, their worldview does not incorporate the possibility of being wrong, so they cont comprehend it.
I think its dangerous to be so free of self doubt. Its dangerous in them, as you think you've proven, and its equally dangerous in you.
Until you can even begin to understand that symmetry, you will continue to whine "why" without any hint of wisdom.
Hashem won't grant them forgiveness unless they personally seek out their victims and beg them. We all know this will NEVER happen. Margolis is a rasha.
The agudah and the gedoylim will ask mechila if anyone of them forgot to include you in a game of basketball 40 or 50 yeas ago. Not this !!!
Considering UOJ's close relationship with the Neubergers, I think that UOJ is a Ner Israel Alumnus.
"What drives me absolutely crazy is that Baltimore had two months notice to retire Eiseman and avoid this. I just don't get it!"
- UOJ, do you know for a fact that they believed and understood that the charges were true?
Fuerst from Chicago has got to be taken down asap.
He and his cronies have been bullying this town for too long and ruining peoples lives and buissineses. He thinks that because he is a Rabbi and Dayan that he can abuse his power.
By R Frands Teshuva drasha
UOJ,
Your struggle to come to grips with Rabbi Herman Neuberger's actions is commendable. You seem genunely conflicated that someone who you believe to be a great Tzadik could have turned a deaf ear to the pleas of the victims.
With that said, other may feel the same way about their "tzadikim" and may be struggling to understand how these otherwise holy people could have ignored this issue. This may be one of the reasons why some out there are cutting the enablers slack. After all, you are engaging in the same behavior in your judgement of Rabbi Nueberger.
To your credit, though, it hasn't prevented you from taking the right actions, but I am just pointing out where some of the sentiment on the other side may be coming from. I think considering this situaton which seems to have hit you personally, you can understand where these people may be coming from.
Last week's Mishpacha magazine had a puff piece on Rav Elchonon Wasserman.
The story with the dybbuk in Radin is repeated. Reb Elchonon scared off the dybbuk. Nosson Kaminetky in Making of a Godol deconstructs the story and basicaly says that the girl had mental problems and the Chofetz Chaim wanted to protect the family so they shouldn't have shidduchim problems.
Of course no mention of Reb Elchonon's stance with regard to YU and America.
It is important that UOJ provide more details regarding Reb Elchonon's refusal to accept visas for his talmidim. This must be documeted for the future so our children/grand children should not
grow up with these dangerous fairy tales.
Current Waterbury Guy,
Was there more than one predator in Waterbury? Is there still an issue with someone in beis medrash? If there's no longer a problem, when did they let him go?
Anon questioning if I would admit I was wrong and made a mistake???
The answer is YES! If I am wrong with any of the accused, like I said in the Kolko case, I would go public with my identity, BEG for forgiveness, and close this blog!
"I don't believe a word of this."
I don't believe you either. Never believe the worst, never disbelieve the possibility that you might be wrong. I don't want to believe that choshuva people have taivos just like u and m, like u and j. O. But, we do. We all do, different snowcone flavors, different hats, different weaknesses and the Ribbono shel Olam created them all. Where there's smoke over a period of years, there's fire. The Yeshiva, however, appreciates your disbelief and will consider honoring you at their next dinner.
I am told that there is one abuser in Waterbury and he is still there. I am NOT aware of a previous one.
As a community we seem to have a problem acknowledging that there is a such a thing called abuse.
It is important for the esteemed readers of this blog to know that there are many different types of abuse types of abuse.

Any updates on Torah Temimah?
Boog,
You keep on posting about making provisions of the law mandatory.
We want tachlis - give us some ideas.
Just one more thing. Do an unscientific survey. Try to talk to any klei kodesh (i.e. rebbe, kollel yungerman) even many baalei batim about UOJ and this subject. They start defending the rebbeim by going through all kinds of kruma sevores to prove that it is impossible and maybe it means this and maybe that and anyone can accuse anyone of anything. I want to throttle these guys because they are the ones who are teaching our kids and they are are mentally handicapped.(my apologies to the mentally handicapped community for associating these people with you.)
Many years ago I had a discussion with an old time Chassidic Rebbe about rumours about a child molester. He didn't wave it off and he understood and we were able to discuss it like adults. He was a major rebbe. the yeshiveleit would laugh at him as not being daas torah. The old generation even if they were born in Eastern Europe in what seems the Dark Ages were not all imbeciles. Today's generation is a generation of lemmimgs and mind controlled freaks.
UOJ begged shraggi and sheftel to answer him. Why don't they t answer him? They don't use the assurdike internet, of course. We know that. A family member tried to communicate with uoj for whatever reason. UO preferred arms length communication. No communication. The hanhala doesn't need publicity other than what they plant. If he were a real friend, he'd have given more money and been in touch. We'd have honored him at the dinner. Why should they answer, uo? You've gored their ox, slaughtered their calf, fed them to the wolves. You are Poison.
They are the hanhola, you, their ben sorrer u-moreh. A bum! A rosho! (let's say it again, and again, and again, maybe we'll feel better). If he could harm US and our father's fresh, sacred, venerated memory like THIS!!!! This is toevah. This is evil. This is bad publicity.
Can you imagine the debate between the rosh kollel, the roshei yeshiva and the lawyers. All insist any matters must be settled in Bais Din, never in civil courts. Arkoyas??? The thought pains us that any Jew would dream of arkoyos. Arkoyos are assur. A shanda. A chillul Hashem. UOJ is a goy. He is a shaygetz, a bum, worse, he is the enemy. He hates Toyreh. He must hate Toyreh. He will never be honored. He hates roshei yeshiva. He's a koyfer b'ikkar. He's abusing us. bad, the worst. We're so good, the best. Outside of Bais Din, we might lose. If the truth is known, we'll never be Lakewood. Talmidim may leave. He is stabbing us, killing us. Let's be mispallel, daven, raise more money, anything but the truth.
"If the truth is known, we'll never be Lakewood."
Over the years there have been NIRC yungerleit who have deluded themselves into thinking that Ner Yisroel is more choshuv than Lakewood. They become especially irked if someone asks them why they did not choose Lakewood and start putting down BMG about the level of learning there. I always thought that was funny because even if it were true that the big lamdonim don't go to Lakewood, they certainly don't go to Baltimore.
To all you doubters out there:
Here is my analysis of UOJ. No, I am not a psychologist, but I believe that it is important to point out the obvious to the blog audience - to those who think the worst about a really good, deep, caring individual. This comes from following the blog for quite some time and from a review of UOJ's old website. I think that UOJ would agree that my analysis is pretty accurate.
UOJ is an extremely honest individual. His word is as good as gold. He is truly bothered by the lack of integrity that he sees in the frum community. It eats away at his very core. Unlike 99% of the people, he actually thinks and actually cares.
UOJ has done more than his share of good - an activist some would call him. He is not just interested in his 4 amos. Hypocrisy and abuse of power disturb him to no end. He has a special sensitivity for this and has picked up on these things even as a child. He tried to believe in the system and the leaders as he is a good, frum, learned Jew, but decided, at one point, that enough was enough. He had witnessed too much - probably more than many others because of his connections to the higher-ups.
Despite this, I have a feeling that he is not a bitter person in his family life. Most likely, he lives a life that is quite fulfilled - not the oger-like, divorced, loner life as some have tried to portray him as living. He has seen the ugly and knows better.
UOJ decided to voice his opinions on his blog and expose the corruption. Some are unconventional, but after analysis, you may realize are more right than wrong. I may disagree with other opinions. There are tactics, especially some taken early on (such as the A, B and C list of Gedolim), that I wish that UOJ would acknowledge were in poor taste. But an example of an unpopular, yet valid opinion, was UOJ "outing" the Rabbonim who attend the weddings that violate the very takonas that they established. I am sure that many would say, "How dare he start up with Gedolim," but really how can these leaders engage in this duplicity. Yes, I may not express myself in the same manner or I may say the same thing privately (as I am sure many of you would), but when UOJ brings it to the public's attention, he is a Rasha! That is ridiculous.
However, whatever one may think about UOJ's opinions, I am very confident that he would never accuse a person of being a molester without first having credible evidence. That is what UOJ is about. Honest, but hard hitting. Out to make changes. UOJ does not engage in the Echad B'Peh V'Ecahd B'Lev games that the Organizations have played for so long.
To those who think because UOJ has expressed some outlandish opinions this discredits his credibility on the molestation issue, you are very shallow indeed. Analyze the person and you will see how wrong you are. Unfortunately, because you don't like the man's opinions, you can't accept truth from him. What a shame. While we can criticize UOJ for some of his tactics and opinions, his credibility on molestations is PURE and UNTAINTED.
Let us also not forget the great good that he has done for the victims. It is hard to believe that one person could have accomplished so much in such a short period of time.
nirc is lakewood.
the accused is lakewood.
the yoyshaiv roish of the mechina, gaiva of the plain, is lakewood.
Wherever evil lurks, those who are tempted by taiva, any taiva, should be on alert. No more ice cream. If not the ribbono shel Olam, assi,e uoj or someone else is watching.
In Lakewood, the hanhola rules with an iron fist. Taking on lakewood is like challenging satmar. Maryland is friendlier, ner israel, a nicer institution.
Rumors have it that Vicki Polin is turning The Awareness Center over to UOJ. Is this true?
Where to start about Rabbi Fuerst. The butcher, Mr Miller is just 1 case. There was a mother that went to Bais din to report the sexual abuse of a Chicago REbbe to the authorities, Fuerst and Rabbi Zev Cohen said she could not do so. I do NOT know where that abuser is currently.
Fuerst tried to strong arm his way onto a chicago Frum board that would deal with sex abuse, AFTER he had already decided one could not take such molestors to the authroities. I believe he is on said board
And then, his Kashrus Shenanigans. Check this out, the Rabbi who allows child molestors to roam free claimed the CRC shechita was not valid because one of their shochtim (who had since divorced) used to beat his wife, 12 years prior.
Fuerst arranged a boycott of the popular Ken's diner who used said shechita. Interestingly, the resteraunt owned by Morry Esformis' son in law( one of richest frum Jews in chicago. I heard he once balied Fuerst out of jai) (since divorced)used the EXACT same shechitah, but seemed to avoid Fuerst's wrath.
Fuerst was trying to muscle his weay into the kashrus buisness in Chicago, grabing the loot from the CRC. And this was the 2nd time he had done so. The first time around, the innocent owners of Lchaim's resteraunt lost everything because of his attempts to make himself rich.
Fuesrt also recently supported a very sick woman who filed for divorce 2 weeks after gaining her US citizenship on her husband's account. Fuerst decided that the wife MUST get the children even though Fuerst had a CREDIBLE letter from a camp that once employed this woman that substantaited that she abused girls while she was in their employ.
Many in Chicago have said since the Church scandal, that if the authorities come knocking, Fuerst in Chicago will be the equivlant of the Cardinal of Boston
potshots on hotshots, is that the purpose of this blog?
What's your agenda, meateater? You want the Dayyan fired? Distribute materials in Chicago and see how far they go. He's got a wealthy, core constituency and both Lakewood and Telshe strongholds nearby. He represents the Agoodah. It's a free country. These are the types of leaders they choose, the ones with daas Toirah.
Fuerst covered for the Chicago butcher who it is said lived in the same building as Mondrowitz. Mondrowitz molested in an extreme fashion troubled boys in Ohel, at his private practice & in Ger. See how g-d now is working his revenge on the enablers?
Dear curious readers. I am extremely shocked as to the allegations of UOJ that a NI rebbe is a predator.
But take caution! This is a blog. A place where abyone can write anything about whatever they want. Nothing they say can be proven true.
Besides, who appointed UOJ as the yeshiva slaughterer? You may think your actions are preventing more evel. You couldnt be farther from the truth. The "lishonos" and lashon hara and motsi shem ra on this blog is of epic proportions. Anyone reading this site should have this in mind when they refer their freinds here.
keep in mind: mitzvois tzrichois kavvanah.
everyone should have in mind to be yoitzeh.
Deny references to uoj? He is uoj, a powerful blogger with ties to new york magazine. He has a P.I. He's pretty cool, hot stuff, the protector of civil liberties, a hero to victims and the modern orthodox.
So, he's not so frum. He may not want to be. It's his yetzer hara. We should talk to his children and our children about it.
So, there you have it, uo.
Your own stupidity writing naarishkayt about yoshka absolutely lessened your respectablility (?) in the eyes of all men. Crass, vulgar humor doesn't impress anyone...feeding right into the hands of your enemies. You more than anything else are responsible for the frum community not taking you seriously. Yes, that you can try to destroy them, they understand. They take that very seriously, but you are marginalized, unimportant in their eyes, a rosho, plain and simple. You are fighting THEM, the am haToirah, they, the yeshivois, are heirs to Reb Chaim Oizer and the Chofetz Chaim's vaad in Poland, litvish, authentic, true. You, by comparison, are nothing.
If all you can do is threaten new york magazine exposes, you lose credibility as a kishke grubbing Darth Vader.
So how do you know from Darth Vader, Tatele? You snuck out between Sedorim?
You have Inet access on your cell-phone? Palm Pilot? Ah-Ha, Ich Varsthei, you saw "Star Wars" when you were M'Kadesh de Lavana! Vey, what will Mattisyahu say? Ah Kofer you are, prost und poh-shit.
These "Gedolim" you reference are NOT the rightful heirs to R' Chaim Ozer or The Chofetz Chaim but charalatans, quacks, pretenders, wannabees, and never-wuzzes. You want to know from a "Gadol", maybe? Try on R' J.B. ZTZL, for size.
No doubt you stare at your "Gedolim" pictures several times daily in awe and genuflection. Stick 'em where the Sun don't shine, Baby.
boog, you are an asshole. That you have made abundantly clear, even when you have some good ideas.
You are crass and vulgar, like uoj, birds of a feather. I should not be here, it is true, flocking with you. But, it's my yetzer hara.
As to Rabbi Dr. Joseph B. Soren Kierkegaard, Hermann Cohen, Soloveitchik, zecher tzaddik livrocho, he knew Greek as well as Reb Chaim's Toyreh. His grandfather smacked him when he didn't know. You're prejudiced in favor of Y.U. instead of merely being neutral. Would J.B. presume that he was greater than reb chaim oizer? I don't think so. He knew that he was tempted by haskalah, Berlin, university, philosophy, the winner being Tayreh. But, he was never crowned king of the gedoylim club; only the rca and mizrachi used his name, standing on his shoulders, using his brilliance for their own reputation, fame.
Would he have outed anyone on the internet? I doubt it. You'd have to speak to the folks at Maimonides where they certainly must have seen a problem like this sometime over the course of his tenure, a lifetime. Or, it never happened? Could it be that like uoj says they simply hushed things up and handled problems b'tzinah? Probably. They have mixed classes, double the exposure, double the risk. The majority of offenders, representing the majority of the population who are straight, attack girls. I don't see what relevance a hypothetical has to this situation. Your point is well taken that only fear of humiliation and incarceration will stop abuse. But, to say that all of our roshei yeshiva aren't gedoylim is to do disservice to klal Yisroel. There are exceptionally fine individuals teaching in our moisdois. Some are rotten, others are very, very good, honest, humane, intelligent, never crass.
Don't be an ass.
I am a hard working guy from Baltimore who was in NIRC from the late 70' to early 80's. There is no way to confront the Neuberger, Heinemann, Hopfer Mafia.
They have no interest in the emes, only their oligarcy.
The Rosh Hayeshiva, R' Aron Feldman Shlit'a, although somewhat naive at times, is 100% l'shem shomayim. He simply is clueless as to how fardorben Rabonnim can be.
He would have been better off staying in his ivory tower in Israel, learning yomam v'layla....we could use those zechusim
anon;
You can kiss my ass, on both cheeks.
Indeed "Crassness and Vulgarity" are the necessary coin of the day in order to drill through layers upon layers of obfuscation and denial that your Shafranite approach and attitudes have despicably wrought.
Nicey-Nicey, The King's English, Parlimentary Procedure, Eideleit, Diplomacy have been conclusively shown to fail when dealing with the likes of margulies, et al.
High time to "level" the playing field and take the gloves off.
In the meantime continue genuflecting in front of your "Gedolim" pictures.
Remember Daniel Levin.
But, he wanted to make a nice living. They pay, especially at the top. There are always "cheshboinoys." He's probably on a contract and has to balance truth with parnoso. Don't blame him.
Rabbi Heinemann is an ish emes. There is no mafia. This is false, make believe. If you have questions about the Baltimore Bais Din, ask Avi Shafran. He's objective.
Blame is where it belongs, if there is truly a smoking gun. This is the first time I've heard about this.
boogie, booger, boo,
"Eideleit" is this a song from the Sound of Music or saul berman's new themesong?
a typo?
jb would kiss your cheeks. you are the pride of Yeshiva University. You represent Richard Joel, Torah UMadda, the Center for the future of Jewish Life, coming to theaters everywhere in the fall.
you are a bum.
