Shalom UOJ,
Thank you very much for being there, for proving
that there are still courageous religious people in
the klal Israel, who want to protect the Honour of
Ha-Kadosh-Baruch-Hu instead of just their own honour
and egotistic interests. You are doing the very
important work and I am sure that the Heavens should
know and respect you very much.
The recent scandal with Mr. Moshe Eiseman shocked me
terribly, because I have been for a long time attending
our local Yeshiva in Berlin, where Mr. Eiseman used to be
a 'visiting Rosh Yeshiva' and I've attended his lectures
in the Yeshiva and learned many things from these lectures.
Upon discovering about this scandal from the Internet,
I've contacted a person close to the administration of
our Yeshiva and learned that they are very well
interested in the covering up of the whole story,
they do now so, as if he would not have existed, and
nobody in the Yeshiva seems to be informed about the
real reasons for his disappearing.
How can you explain this behaviour and what do you think
were the best way for this Yeshiva to react to such situation ?
Best regards and Sabbath Shalom,

BREAKING NEWS-KOLKO INDICTED ON ALL FELONY COUNTS!-HOW MANY OF YOU IN THESE PHOTOS WERE HURT BY THIS MONSTER?
Dear UOJ,
I stumbled on your blog a couple of weeks ago.
As I am out of the Brooklyn scene I was stunned at
the news of the Torah Temimah scandal.
As a former student I went through my old stuff
and came up with these two pictures from
dinner Journals from '70 and '73.
While your cause is just, the righteous guys
like you can never win. I’ve been there, all
the rabbis aren't worth the oxygen they breathe.
There are of course exceptions.
Can you believe that they let this f**k around first graders?
At least in 1970 he was co-rabbi and they were fifth graders.
I was a student at Torah Vodaath in Williamsburg.
There was a child molester rabbi there as well,
– Rabbi Langer -
all the kids knew it and warned each other,
stay away from Pee Wee. His gimmick was “Jr. Rabbi.
” You got to sit next to him for a week.
He would try and stick his hands down the back of your pants.
He also had this shtick if it was raining
and your pants were wet above the knee you
had to remove them and leave them on the radiator…
Also, “special time” at his house for special students.
By the way he was married…luckily no children.
My point is, kids protected kids,
you couldn't tell your parents,
they didn't know what you were talking about
and who'd believe you?
That's the problem here, the kids didn't warn each other.
Also why waste your time telling the menahel.
Freekin Margo was as corrupt as they came.
How else do you build a Yeshiva?
The... twins in my time were the worst students,
they got honors, why? PHG Papa had gelt.
Margo used to confiscate baseball cards and give them to his son.
I won't get into what the powers that be at YTV
Williamsburg and the Mesivta were all about.
The Mesivta dorm was a hotbed of gay f*****g.
All the South American boys.
I forget the name of the rabbi in charge
of the dorm but he sucked a few co**s in his time.
Want to know any more?
There's an old joke about a guy
going bear hunting. A bear comes up to him
and knocks his gun away and f***s him in the ass.
After the third time the bear say's to the guy,
“Tell me the truth, you're not here for the hunting are you?”
You may do with these as you wish.
Keep railing!!!
UOJ TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND DIN TORAH ON BEHALF OF KLAL YISROEL!
I am seriously contemplating filing both a lawsuit and convening a bais din with the intent of exposing the corruption in our organizations and yeshivas for the entire world to see. Let's take a real close-up look at the "leaders" and the Establishment.
All organizations, yeshivas, laymen and rabbis that are involved in the corruption of our religion will be named as defendants. I intend to depose every single rabbi, layperson and other, that has been involved in stealing our money, the Government's money, and hijacking our religion.
I am asking all Jews of good will to contact me at: a_unorthodoxjew@yahoo.com - if you are willing to assist me in this effort. You can be named as a plaintiff if you wish or you can work behind the scenes remaining anonymous.
Calling all rabbis, attorneys, accountants/auditors, parents, law enforcement officials, and all Jews who had enough of the sickening corruption that has infected our community.
Get involved or authentic Torah true Judaism will be no more!

RABBI NUSSBAUM FROM YESHIVA OF BROOKLYN GOING JUDGMENT PROOF?
A reader writes:
Rabbi Nussbaum appears to have made some transaction involving the property he owns (along with his wife and one other) at 1854 47th st, Brooklyn. NY 11204 on 6/21/06. The documents can be found on acris, the new york city register's web site. Because I'm not a lawyer, the transaction doesn't really make sense to me. I wonder if he is protecting assets because of the possible lawsuits.
The timing seems right. Maybe the NYC Marshall or Sheriff could seize his ruler or that brown 1970's Buick with the matching pinstriped suit.
My recollection is that his fondling usually occurred
in front of the whole class when you were called up to read.
That was his usual method of operation. I remember
devising ways with a few fellow classmates on how to
avoid his wandering hand in our pants when were called up.
We would be tightening our belt, bring up our own
chumash so we could stand at arms length..,etc.
He also used to put his arm around your leg to make sure you couldn't get away.
I spoke with a former classmate, who as I write,
is searching for the diary he kept for that year and other years at YOB.
Keep up the good work and whatever methods are
required to get these people away from children.
Sincerely,

MORE BULL-SHITZ FROM LIP-SHITZ AND THE YATED-THE KOSHER JEWISH TOILET PAPER OF RECORD!
DEFENDING THE HONOR OF SHABBOS
Dear Editor,
I am not sure I can explain it, but the phone call I received from my father caused me to cry tears of joy. You see, people have given up their lives defending its honor, others have lost their livelihood upholding its sacred laws. So why would the sacrifice of $750.00 (a paltry sum in the scheme of life) be the cause of such an emotional reaction? It was, after all, a seemingly simple phone call to the travel agent to cancel the El Al ticket and re-ticket on the Continental flight the same night.
In any case, the gedolim stated that there is no cheshbon of hefsed mammon when chillul Shabbos is concerned. (READ-NURSING HOME ESCAPEES THAT CAN'T FIND THEIR MEDICINE!-UOJ)
After a bit of contemplation, I believe I have come up with the answer. It is these tangible actions, taken by parents such as mine, that teach us life lessons, or better yet, lessons in capturing nitzchiyos. While we may be able to read our children a nice story about the importance of Shabbos, there is nothing quite like seeing it put into action. This is the quintessential definition of “limud hameivi lidei maaseh.”
I was not going to squander this opportunity of relaying this valuable lesson to my children. During supper that evening, we discussed what their Zaidy had done and why his actions characterize the essence of what a Yid is all about. Not only did their Zaidy defend the honor of Shabbos, but he was also following the instructions of our gedolim -emunas Chachomim in its pure and unadulterated form.
I did not want the lesson to end at the supper table either. So I will iy”H be taking some of the older children to Newark Airport to escort our Totty and Zaidy to the gate. We have to, in some small way, begin to fulfill the Chazal, “If you honor the Shabbos, the Shabbos will honor you.”
We will be going to the airport with a large oak tag emblazoned with the words: “We are proud of our Zaidy who defends the honor of Shabbos.” I hope and pray that my children and I will remember this lesson for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Zaidy!
Sincerely Yours,

PERV RABBI # 2 - THE GRAND "GER"RORIST REBBE PUTZ/CRIMINAL/MOSHIACH'S BUDDY- ASSISTED IN HIS ESCAPE TO ISRAEL!
PERV CHARGE VS. 2ND RABBI
By PATRICK GALLAHUE and ALEX GINSBERG
N.Y. Post
December 14, 2006 -- For the second time in a week, a respected Brooklyn rabbi has been accused of sexually abusing a boy student at a religious school.
A suit filed Tuesday in Brooklyn Supreme Court accuses Avraham Mordecai Lazerewitz, described as the spiritual supervisor at the Geres Misivta Bais Yisroel school, of touching a student in April. Lazerewitz groped and improperly touched the victim during a one-on-one help session in the rabbi's office in the Borough Park secondary school, says the unidentified boy's lawyer, Eric Green.
School officials did not return a telephone message. Last week, authorities accused Brooklyn Rabbi Joel Kolko of fondling a student, 6, and a 31-year-old former pupil.

I DESPISE THE AGUDATH ISRAEL AND THEIR SPOKESPERSON BUT I AM VEHEMENTLY AGAINST PUBLISHING "PERSONAL & CONFIDENTIAL" E-MAILS!
I have urged the author via e-mail of "AVISHAFRANSPEAKS" to take down his site. There is something inherently wrong with publishing confidential e-mails no matter how despicable the person is and the worthiness of exposing Agudath Israel for the rishaim that they are. We as Bloggers must maintain our credibility as people that can be trusted to keep our correspondence confidential.
I URGE THE AUTHOR PUBLICLY TO TAKE DOWN THE SITE!
P.S.- I thank the author of the above site, for taking it down. He is a mentsch and deserves our respect. He (or she), as well as the rest of civilized Jewry are rightfully outraged by the "big-deal, get over it" attitude by the disgraceful people at 42 Broadway. We hope the Blogger returns in a different gilgul, I trust he's got much to contribute to this conversation.

RABBI SHRAGA FEIVEL MENDLOWITZ ZT"L SPEAKS TO KLAL YISROEL FROM THE OLAM HA'EMES!
"I accuse our Orthodoxy for sleeping the sleep of Choni Ha’maagil who slept seventy years. Orthodoxy sleeps, how much longer?"
The following article appeared many years ago (1923) in "Dos Yiddish Licht", founded by the saintly Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l for the purpose of strengthening the observance of mitzvos, and to arouse the public concerning kashrut of foods, which at that time was very neglected, and sadly is not any better in our day and age.
The author was the great gaon and tzaddik, the "Shlucha D'Rachmona" of his generation, the "architect" of true Torah values in America, Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l, the founder of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath and Torah U'Mesorah.
Shortly after this was published here, the Shevach/Finkel story broke.
I have no doubt that he would have removed every single person involved with the Kolko coverup from their positions and would have shut down Torah U'mesorah. This article was presented at the Agudah Convention only to be discounted as a letter written by a previous gadol and that does not count. We need, said Rabbi Waxinhisears, to only pay attention to the tipshim sitting at the dais.
Substitute out the issue of "kashrus" with "Yiddishe kinderlach molestation" and one can easily imagine his rage.
(Translated from the Yiddish)
"And if I say: "I will not make mention of him nor speak anymore in his name" then there is in my heart a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I weary myself to hold it in, but cannot (Ver. 20:29)
I use the above prophetic words as a preface to my article concerning kashrus, because this article will not bring honor to me. On the contrary, I will be attacked with ridicule from all sides. But what can I do? A fire is burning within me, and within a thousand Jews like me... A fire, which cannot be extinguished.
The kashrus question has recently been discussed in the Yiddish press, but only one side of the question, viz. concerning the unscrupulous butchers who sell treifos without a hechsher or with a false one. The press has remained silent, however, concerning the second side of the question, about the treifos being sold under rabbinical supervision and under rabbinical signs in butcher shops.
The press is silent about this problem, perhaps because of the honor of the rabbis, or, perhaps, because of other reasons. The honor of the rabbis is dear to me too. But, the honor of the Torah which is lying in the garbage, and the honor of the truth, which is trodden under foot, are dearer to me. Where there is chillul Hashem we do not impart honor to a rabbi, I, therefore come forward with an accusation.
I Accuse!
I accuse many rabbis, who grant hechsherim, who knowingly or otherwise, or out of neglect, permit non-kosher meat to be sold under their stamp of approval both wholesale and retail; the seller is an unscrupulous person with Torah sanction.
I accuse many rabbis, who although they themselves have no part in the hechsherim, nevertheless, know about them and still remain silent. There is a sort of mutual reciprocal agreement to keep quiet about each other's false hechserim. Perhaps it is because they wish to avoid chillul Hashem. They forget, however, that where there is chillul Hashem we do not impart honor to a rabbi.
I accuse the very great rabbis, the leaders of our people, because of internal strife. These disputes are not for the sake of Heaven; if one says that something is prohibited the other must say it is permissible, if one says something is contaminated the other must say it is pure. It is impossible to bring order to the chaotic kashrus situation, especially the chicken and meat markets.
I accuse the rabbis because of whose negligence; the laws of chalav akum have virtually been forgotten. I know that there various heterim for this, but they apply only when it is impossible to get chalav Yisrael. In our situation, however, with a little effort, order could be brought to this chaos, and "if one can be good, why should he be bad?"
I accuse our Orthodoxy, for sleeping the sleep of Choni Ha'maagil, who slept seventy years. They are completely unaware of what is happening around them and how our strongest ramparts are being smashed by our internal foes. They are unaware that all our holy traditions are being trampled underfoot, that our three thousand year old heritage has all but completely disappeared. Yet, Orthodoxy sleeps, but how much longer?
Do you know that all of the fortresses of Judaism, which have heretofore protected us from destruction, the only one left is kashrus, that other mitzvos are observed very laxly even in Orthodox homes? And now kashrus too is being smashed, yet we sleep, but how much longer?
Don't you see what has become of your youth? Don't you know that Jewish children have become tramps, gamblers, gangsters, candidates for the electric chair, and all kinds of "ISTS", only because they have been raised on neveilos and treifos, yet you sleep, but how much longer?
Don't you know that going to the mikvah every day to purify yourself will be to no avail? Not even all the waters in the world can help, not with sheretz tamei (a carcass of a creeping thing) in your hand, but inside of you! And when you daven every morning and evening, or when you learn your daily shiur, don't you know that the breath that emanates from your mouth is the breath of sin because it reeks of neveilos and treifos!? Yet you sleep, but how much longer?
When you wash your hands for bread, or when you make Kiddush on Shabbos, and your table is bedecked with all sorts of delicacies, and you say with each bite, in honor of the Shabbos, you are angering Hashem when you break bread. Yet you sleep, but how much longer?
I know that you will reply, "Jacob is small and poor" But look what Jacob's brother on East Broadway has accomplished, how he erected a fortress through the poor laborers, a fortress against Judaism, because he has united forces. Yet you sleep and do nothing, but how much longer?
Gentlemen! Do a little soul searching and see how far you have strayed; remember that our parents have sacrificed their lives for kiddush Hashem; they allowed themselves to be burned in order to uphold our holy Torah, whereas you are not required to make any sacrifices; with but a handful you can save the situation. Yet you sleep, but how much longer?
Fellow Jews, have you no fear for the great and terrible Day of Judgment? In that day you will no longer be able to come up with excuses or with a shrug of the shoulder.
And I ask you "how much longer?" And I say, "you sleepers, awaken from your slumber!"
Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz

UOJ'S OPEN LETTER TO RABBI MATISYAHU SALOMON-YOU WILL NOT BE SPEAKING YOUR TIPSHUS AT THIS CHILD'S BAR-MITZVAH!
To this child and family, your "slipped through the fingers" defense does not quite work. Rabbi Salomon, you and your group of mental midgets have blood on your souls for the destruction of another child and his family. You want to choose which cases you are going to "sweep under the carpet?" I'll tell you what you may have a right to choose, the glatt kosher food menu in prison! Where is Pinchos Scheinberg and Aaron Twersky when you need them? Hey...Blogger Posek Belsky, I informed the prison authorities that you will need an extra extra large orange prison jumpsuit! Rest easy Blogger Posek, I'm having them check for shatnez. I call this forward strategic planning. Now tell Chaim Neuhoff to say thank you!

I WENT TO THE AGUDAH CONVENTION AND ALL I GOT WAS A CALL FOR SELECTIVE COVERUPS OF SEXUAL PREDATORS IN YESHIVAS IN THE NAME OF TORAH!
WATCH THIS BLOG FOR IMMINENT BREAKING NEWS!!
Rabbi Matisyahu Solomon, the mashgiach ruchni (spiritually ill-adviser) of the Lakewood yeshiva says that cases that the rabbis are dealing with.... (NOT-per Borat), (here's where the drugs kicked in), should be "swept under the carpet." There's no more room under the carpet, ask the Roto-Rooter Guy. Rabbi Solomon, to his eternal shame, intentionally changes the focus from "doing nothing" to "not doing enough". He wants you to believe that the Haredi rabbis are dealing at all with sexual predators in yeshivas.
THEY ARE NOT, THE BIG LIE AND COVERUP CONTINUES!
The Internet is God's gift to us to prevent con-men like Solomon, Perlow and Kaminetzky from perverting the authentic Torah any longer. The well-being, physical and mental health of our children are the only way to preserve authentic Judaism for the ages; our beautiful kinderlach represent Judaism's future health, NOT the protection of very ill and evil so-called rabbis. This is an emergency situation that they choose to put on the back burner. They are more concerned with their personal kavod, and holding on to their grips of power, which they attempt to cleverly disguise under the banner of kavod Hatorah.
You are not fooling me Rabbi. I believe that your pious rantings are not deceiving too many people anymore. Your call for violence, "hakeh es shinov-break his teeth" did not go unnoticed by me. You are a very sick and delusional man!
WHAT DID YOU DO SINCE THE TIME YOU DISCOVERED THAT THE MARGULIES/KOLKO CRIMINAL AND DEVIANT ACTS WERE TRUE? YOU SENT THE CONSUMNATE CON-MAN ARON TWERSKI TO TORAH TEMIMAH TO VOUCH FOR MARGULIES'S INTEGRITY! SHAME ON YOU, SHAME ON THE AGUDAH, SHAME ON TORAH UMESORAH. YOU, MATISYAHU SOLOMON ATTENDED A GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY IN LAKEWOOD FOR LIPA MARGULIES'S NEW YESHIVA TEMIMADIKER MOLESTERS AFTER ALL KNEW THAT MARGULIES IS A CRIMINAL! SLIPPED THROUGH YOUR FINGERS DID THEY, OR DID YOU "HIGH-FIVE" MARGULIES & KOLKO?
I WILL CONTINUE TO MOCK YOU AND SCOFF YOU AND YOUR ILK UNTIL YOU MAKE OUR KINDERLACH THE ABSOLUTE TOP PRIORITY OF HAREDI JUDAISM. NOT KOLLEL, NOT FRAUDULENT KAVOD HATORAH, NOT CONTRIVED DAAS TORAH, BUT OUR HAILEGE KINDERLACH!
The lying mouth does not fall far from the Haredi hat!
Now let us rise from our computers and proclaim loudly and clearly to the Ribono Shel Olam that we thank Him for the ability to think and discern right from wrong. "ATAH CHONAIN L'ADAM DAAT UMELAMAID L'ENOSH BINAH". And to that we drink the kool-aid!
I am informed that someone posing as UOJ/Un-Orthodox Jew is posting comments on various sites. That is an imposter, I HAVE NOT POSTED ANYTHING ON ANY SITE SINCE MY RETIREMENT ON SEPT. 17TH.
If I make any announcements it will be here ONLY!
On another issue of importance:
Yisroel Belsky's over the top endorsement of the kashrus of Alle Processing/Meal Mart smells to the heavens. He NEVER stepped foot into that place of business, and kolos of reliable ex-mashgichim and ehrliche employees of Meal Mart have been decrying the reliability of the on-staff, in-house mashgichim for decades.
One must view anything Yisroel Belsky says with the utmost suspicion. He is a mumar l'haches and a mumar l'kol haTorah kulo! Forget not his fraudulent" motzee shem ra" hazmana to a Torah Temimah parent to silence the truth.

One irony here is that the Thursday night speakers made it a point to condemn anonymous bloggers.
You believe in a benevolent despot, the strong-rav authority figure, common to pre-war Europe, and existing for centuries. I believe the pre-war model sometimes did not work so well, and the world has changed so much, we Jews need to respond. Democracy, science, and unprecedented moral decay require that. No one rabbi possesses all the skills that are required to adjudicate even one case of child sex abuse. We need physicians, lawyers and other "community hockers" (your loshon) involved. This is what was done in Chicago - establishing an interdisciplinary beis din to adjudicate abuse cases. We can learn from non-Jews also, as Yisro reminds us, in advising Moshe to set up intermediate courts. How do you think courts today decide all kinds of complex cases - malpractice, sex abuse, homicide cases involving fingerprint and DNA evidence, etc. Expert witness testimony is heavily used, sometimes excessively so, and there are great controls on it, as the courts attempt to avoid junk science. Lay jurors decide many cases, the trial judge is the gatekeeper of evidence, and there is sometimes appellate review by a panel of judges. Sometimes injustices do occur, every lawyer has seen it. But at the end of the day, as I said before, Torah lo shebashayim hi. A justice system is one of the sheva mitzvos bnei Noach. You did not answer this point, and I don't think you can.
You know RMS? Wonderful. You have great respect for him? Even better. We all know RMS, or some other Agudah rabbi or officer. They're inspirational teachers and baalei mussar, but this isn't about us or the rabbis, its about the children, and their right not to be harmed. The flesh and blood of our children deserve our great respect. Their bodies are a kli for a neshama given by the Borei Olam. Our children's bodies are small, and they are emotionally immature. Their parents are their legal caretakers, and they are entitled to the fullest protection that secular law and halacha can give them. That should mean the establishment of an impartial panel of rabbis and frum experts adjudicating an abuse case, and finding guilt or innocence after a hearing, that involves cross examination of witnesses, medical and psychological testimony, medical records, and physical evidence. Guilt or innocence is then found, and life goes on. The very establishment of such a legal/halachic system would have acted in the past as a deterrent. It was not done, so let our medina shel chesed step in. Increased government oversight over the nonpublic schools is the only answer. Public safety and health for the benefit of our children's bodies supercede everything else. Let the medina shel chesed step in.
What you probably don't know is that many of our yeshivas aren't even doing criminal background checks on our employees, despite incidents in our mosdos where convicted sex offenders have attacked children. Some states require nonpublic school employee fingerprinting and FBI checks, and even in those states, there is uneven compliance. Some states allow fingerprinting and FBI
checks, and again, some do, some don't. Certainly, it is legal all over the country for any employer to conduct a name based check through a commercial company (e.g., Choice Point) - again, some schools do, some don't. Can you imagine - for a few dollars, we can prevent a convicted sex offender or murderer from working as a janitor, teacher, or G-d forbid, rebbe in our schools, and we don't do this. Madness.
In New York, it has been illegal since 1937 for private employers to fingerprint, unless some other law allows it, and no law allows nonpublic schools to fingerprint. New York City public schools have been required to fingerprint since 1974, and all New York State public schools since 2000, but our yeshivas were silent in asking for a law that would allow or require them to fingerprint, and do FBI checks. I asked the yeshiva community to set up a system of name checks in New York, and elsewhere. Everyone said I was right, but no such system was set up.
I approached the NY Legislature, and the Governor. There I got some attention, and a law was passed. Starting July 1, 2007, all NYS nonpublic schools are authorized to submit their prospective employees' fingerprints to the FBI for national criminal background checks.
Does what I describe inspire any confidence in you that our yeshivas are capable of adjudicating abuse cases without the input of doctors and lawyers, and without accountability and transparency? Or doing background checks without the parents and the Government demanding it? I hope not, because if you answered yes, you are truly unreachable.
You've made it plain, you're machmir on kavod ha'rav. I'm machmir on kavod ha'chaim, on kavod the gufim and neshomos of yiddishe kinder. I'm disgusted and nauseated by adult men, and even a few women, who take advantage of the small bodies of children who cannot defend themselves, and then who are not believed by their adult caretakers. They are, at best, very, very sick, warped people, and I use the term loosely, and at worst, r'shaim. They need to be forever banished from our system, and that our community has not done this, after everything that has occurred, is a great shame and stain on all us. I have much, much more to say, but one of the writers here has a point, and a point which I've tried to observe to some varying degree, which is that there are great limitations as to what a Jew can say in a public forum like this.

A REVOLUTION AGAINST THE HOLY TORAH
A horrible abomination was perpetrated against the Torah. A married woman from a financially wealthy family obtained from a so called "rabbi" a "heter" to commit blatant adultery, after the "rabbi" received a hefty fee from her father. After the money was in his pocket, this so called "rabbi" performed a hocus pokus annulment in the style practiced for centuries by the Catholic Church. In fact, the annulment was based on testimony from a female witness, an admitted zona by profession, who is not of the Jewish faith. This so called "rabbi" furthermore falsely established that the husband had been infected with AIDS, something which the husband refuted by means of documented blood laboratory test results. Thus, the woman who had been married for almost a year and separated from her husband almost six months was advised that she may re-marry without need of a Get.
We are forbidden from remaining quiet over this terrifying event and great chillul Hashem. In these troublesome times, we must pray that these atrocities are not the cause, or tip the scales of Justice, in favor of Heavenly punishment against the entire Tzibur chalilla. Accordingly, we are obligated to vehemently protest this criminal abomination. This dishonorable "rabbi" must be prevented from continuing his shameful and detestable conduct. This so called "rabbi" cannot be permitted to rip out the laws of the Torah in order to fill his pockets with illicit bribes. This so called "rabbi" should forthwith sever all connections with the Jewish community. He has no Jewish neshama. He should live at the Vatican with the men and women he sincerely respects.
The story:
In the month of Cheshvan 5761, the subject couple was married and lived in New York . As noted above, she was from a very wealthy family. Unfortunately, the husband got involved in some credit card scandal and landed up in prison. Subsequently, the wife sought to be divorced from her husband. However, the couple were unable to resolve some monetary issues and therefore they have not reached a final settlement. The disappointed wife was thereafter advised that there was "magic help" available for her at the Yeshiva Torah V'daath. And so, she was off to see the Wizard of Ozzus, namely "Rabbi" Israel Belsky, to obtain her Catholic style annulment.
"Rabbi" Israel Belsky, began to salivate when he learned he was going to be approached by the wife and her wealthy family. That like on a cash-register, large dollar signs appeared in his eye sockets. "Rabbi" Israel Belsky saw another opportunity in his dirty hands by where he can continue to make a lot of money from selling the Torah and its' Shulchan Aruch down the river. It was of no importance, the terrible consequences his evil conduct would bring against Klal Yisroel (i.e. neeuf, mamzeirim).
Belsky figured "I will help this poor soul whose father has the big bucks. I will convene a "beis din" with my fellow scoundrels, where a shiksa employed as a zona (gentile woman working at a house of ill repute) will be an acceptable witness to testify against the husband. We will not invite the husband to our "beis din", lest he appear and defend his reputation. My "beis din" will then falsely ascertain the husband as having been a frequent patron of such ill reputed establishments prior to his marriage. My "beis din" will then further establish without witnesses that the husband was also "probably for certain" infected with AIDS prior to his marriage. After we certify the husband as having been "probably for certain" a carrier of the infectious AIDS disease at the time of his marriage, we will consequently rule the husband as being definitely unfit for marital relations with a wife. In conclusion, my star chamber beis din will permit the unfortunate wife to seek another husband without any need of a get.
The job of carrying out his halachic scam, at first appeared easy. To give his fictitious annulment a professional appearance, Belsky shamefully utilized a very select collection of authentic Halachic Teshuvos (responsa) from Poskim. Only, the selection of Halachic Teshuvos used were outrageously with no connection to Belsky's self-produced fiction about the husband. His comparisons were totally unrelated, illogical and did not even pertain to his self-created falsified situation.
Belsky then called together his lowlife friends. Them being a group of five (5) rabbinic scum, all of whom (with [probable] exception to the listed purported Kohen) were involved over the past eleven years with directing and/or implementing mafia style kidnappings, beatings and invalid Gitlin. Each of these rabbinic racketeers were instructed to bring along their rubber stamp so as to embellish their fabricated decision to appear very rabbinical and trustworthy. Those that did not have a rubber stamp were advised to quickly order one.
Only after Belsky obtained the signatures of his five cronies, did he realize that he and his rabbinic scum would not be accepted by the true chashuva Rabbonim in the community. And so, a campaign by Belsky himself to obtain the signatures of a few sincere New York Rabbonim was implemented. Belsky made the calls to certain well known Rabbonim, in the hope he could dupe them to sign their good name in support of his dirty lies published against the husband. Fortunately, Belsky's plan failed completely. Each of the Rabbonim and Roshei Yeshiva refused to go along with him. In fact, they were unaware of thelies and deception being perpetrated, only they each found his counterfeit annulment as being ridiculously irrational, illogical and coated with Belsky style stupidity.
Without the support of any reputable Rav in America , Belsky directed his efforts toward Eretz Yisroel. To approach Rabbi Elyashev was out of the question. Some years back Belsky was caught lying to Rav Elyashev in another story regarding a forced invalid Get. In that story, Belsky falsely claimed that his kidnapping and mafia style torture of an innocent husband from Borough Park (story published in Newsday March 8, 1998, with Belsky's picture) was sanctioned by a former Rosh Yeshiva of 'Chaim Berlin' living in Far Rockaway. That Rosh Yeshiva upon learning that Belsky was falsely using his name, wrote a letter to Rav Elyashiv and to the "Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah" stating that "Rabbi" Belsky is a "liar" and should not be believed a single word that goes out from his mouth. In that case as well Belsky and his mafia group tried to permit a woman from Montreal to commit blatant adultery, Rachman Litzlon. All the Gedolei Torah vehemently protested against Belsky, and ruled that the woman is an Eshes Ish. Now again, Rav Elyashiv refused to accept "liar" Belsky.
As such, Israel Belsky hoped to succeed between the Israeli Sefardic Rabbonim, a group less familiar with his deceptive practices. Immediately a fax with the falsified annulment (which includes his illogical teshuva) was sent to Harav Ovadia Yossef Shlita. It was Belsky's silly hope that Rav Ovadia Yossef Shlita would be too busy to read the papers, but would issue a quick endorsement after seeing the signatures of all the rabbinic racketeers with their fancy rubber stamps and self proclaimed titles. (See p. 13, Hebrew side)
On this point Belsky was half correct-Rabbi Ovadia Yossef Shlita was too busy to study Belsky's asinine papers. Upon his
gabbai telling him that the papers pertained to freeing a married woman without any Get, Rav Ovadia Yossef Shlita insisted that it cannot be. Instead of bothering to read the papers himself, Rav Ovadia Yossef Shlita directed that it be sent to Rabbi Shalom Messas, the Sefardic Chief Rabbi in Jerusalem . However, the response of Rabbi Messas toward the false annulment knocked a great blow to the face of "Rabbi" Israel Belsky and his entire conspiracy.
The Chief Sefardic Rabbi Messas wrote as follows: (As translated from the Hebrew)
"The testimony about the husband being a patron of a house of ill repute, was based entirely upon the testimony of a Goya [who is a harlot by profession], which under halacha such testimony is totally invalid, untrustworthy and valueless. This and all other facts presented [by Belsky] have no standing whatsoever. Furthermore, laboratory tests show conclusively that the husband has no AIDS..."
Rav Shalom Messas
Rav Ovadia Yossef Shlita, upon learning of the Belsky trick, wrote a postscript to Rav Messas' letter, saying:
"I agree wholeheartedly to what the chief rabbi of Jerusalem wrote, and the woman is still an Eshes Ish." (See p. 16, Hebrew side)
It is noted here in the spirit of mockery and jest toward Belsky's stupidity: If the husband was "probably for certain" infected with AIDS prior to his marriage, then after eleven months of living with his wife derech ishis, the wife too was "probably for certain" infected with AIDS. Why doesn'tit appear to those fools that still swear by Cardinal Israel Belsky and his silly annulment, that by allowing the married wife to - - - around without a Get, that Belsky is undisturbed about "probably for certain" spreading the AIDS epidemic. (see letter of Rabbi Shlomo Miller Shlita from Toronto (p.19)
The Chazal teach us that "Kol Haposal B'mumo Posel”. In the report above, Israel Belsky sought to defame the husband as a carrier of a deadly disease. In truth it is Belsky that is diseased. He is infected with the contagious kofer b 'ikar disease. At this time many of the talmidim at the Yeshiva Torah V'daath are "probably for certain" carriers.
And now we question:
Why does Yeshiva Torah V'daath permit walking sewage to occupy a seat on its faculty?
Why does the Yeshiva Torah V'daath still pay a salary to Israel Belsky, a profane heterodox Apikores?
And, why is it not any concern to Yeshiva Torah V'daath that their bachurim are being corrupted away from the Derech HaTorah by "Rabbi" Israel Belsky by his blasphemy against Shamayim?
The Yeshiva Torah V'daath, by permitting an immoral and dishonest creature like Israel Belsky to be engaged in chinch of young talmidim, is responsible for the spiritual poisoning of their students' neshamas!
Yeshiva Torah V'daath should not be permitted to continue destroying the "Torah and Klall Yisroel by means of Israel Belsky!! Demand that Israel Belsky be flushed out of Yeshiva Torah V'daath forever!
By Alumnies of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath
A REVOLUTION AGAINST THE HOLY TORAH
Translation from Hebrew letter
Rabbi Aaron M. Schechter
Erev Shabbos Parshas Tetzaveh 763
To the Honorable Rabbis Shlita;
We are hereby requesting of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of America to seek rabbinical determination regarding a "serious" matter - That is; the 'Torah position' as commanded to us via Moshe Rabeinu, our heritage which is the Mesorah passed on to every generation, through our teachers and our beacons, the Gedolei Hador.
The situation is as follows: It has recently become known here that Rabbi Israel Belsky prepared a "heter" to remarry for Mrs.... on the basis that her marriage was in error. I spoke to him twice, since he is considered a scholar from the Torah camp, as to whether he would actually permit this without consent of a superior Bais Din of our generation. Besides that this is a sign of throwing off the yoke of Torah, much worse, this opens the gates before many small foxes who stand ready to destroy the vineyard. He answered, that he intends to seek consent and that he would not act unless called upon by the Gedolei Hador.
Behold! It has now become evident to us, that her family, based upon the "heter", is actually occupied in seeking a "shiduch" for her even from among yeshiva students! We never imagined that anyone would accept upon his soul to do this!
Behold! A copy of the "heter" we place before you - however, aside from this, [on such] our souls are pained as we are suffering greatly from the Chutzpah of the Messianic era in a frightening manner. We do not lack voices demanding that the "rabbis" should invent dispensations for Agumos to remarry. The world is full with their "kindness". And to our embarrassment and pain we do not lack volunteers who assume responsibility upon their shoulders who say "I am a rabbi," [and] the power of arrogance is greater. And from those who participated in this "heter" the extent of these points can be proven.
If on a stringent matter in Jewish law such as the status of an "Eishes Ish" and on a holy matter as the purity of Jewish ancestry, leniency in a new fashion that does not exist in our Mesorah will be taken in our community without consulting leading Poskim of the generation, it will result in weeping for generations - everyone will act in accordance with his own biased view to compare one situation to another. And within a significant part of orthodox Jewry, light-mindedness will prevail, respect for Torah will sink, and incurable anarchy will ensue, heaven forbid.
Reformers will clothe in joy since they will sense that fear of G-d which precedes Torah is no longer a barrier to them, since the Torah camp has set an example to them, that they do not seek decisions in accordance with Torah law and there will be no constraints against all sorts of evil spirits blowing, and the Torah will become a forgery and Koheles Yaakov will conceal her face in the ground with the trampling of her heritage.
There is a root to the oral Torah through which G-d nourishes Klal Yisroel - they are the pillars of judicial Poskim - from them law and justice will go forth to the entire Jewish community. Our eyes are dependent upon the Torah nation to stand by us in this critical period. May G-d bestow strength upon his nation and [with this] G-d will bless his nation with peace.
With wishes of establishment of peace, goodness and blessings, to our Rabbis may they be blessed with longevity.

CALL TO ACTION: Rabbi Moshe Eiseman's Removal From Ner Israel, Baltimore, MD
CALL TO ACTION: Rabbi Moshe Eiseman's Removal From Ner Israel, Baltimore, MD
http://www.theawarenesscenter.org/Eiseman_Moshe.html
There have been serious allegations made against Rabbi Moshe Eiseman over the last several years of molesting boys at Ner Israel of Baltimore, MD.The allegations date back to his years as a rebbe at the Philadelphia yeshiva headed by Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky and Rabbi Elya Svei. There are reasons to believe that are under investigation, that Kaminetsky and Svei terminated him for sexual abuse, and knowingly let him be around children again. Tzvi Berkowitz, a rabbi at Ner Israel was apprised of Eiseman's behavior, at the very least, fifteen years ago. Berkowitz is a son in-law of Shmuel Kaminetsky. These allegations were first reported by a blogger by the name of Unorthodox Jew (UOJ), after confirming the allegations with numerous victims.-(theunorthodoxjew.blogspot.com).
These allegations have since been confirmed by various reliable rabbinic sources.
It has been over a month since the Ner Israel administration brought the allegations to Rabbi Yaakov Hopfer who made a decree (psak) that Rabbi Moshe Eiseman MUST leave Ner Israel.
To this day Rabbi Moshe Eiseman is still employed by Ner Israel and continues to live on their campus. Each day that goes by puts another child at risk of harm.
The Awareness Center, his many victims and concerned Jews are demanding that Rabbi Moshe Eiseman be relieved of his duties immediately, move off campus and required to attend treatment at a residential facility for sex offenders. It is also imperative that all communities' members in which Rabbi Eiseman has worked be made aware of the allegations. The goal is to prevent one more child from being harmed and also to make sure that all past victims get the help they need.
Those who have been sexually victimized deserve to be treated with respect and dignity by professionals who have the experience and training to work with survivors of sex crimes. It is also very helpful if survivors contact local rape crisis centers who have free legal advocates available to go with them to file police reports.
There is a realistic fear that Rabbi Eiseman will return to Russia or return to working with Russian immigrants. These communities also need to be made aware of the past allegations and that if survivors come forward that they be referred to local rape crisis centers.
The goal is to prevent one more child from becoming the next victim and to ensure those who have already been sexually victimize receive help.
Please contact the administration at Ner Israel and Rabbi Hopfer and demand that Rabbi Moshe Eiseman be removed today!

CHAIM NEUHOFF IS A HIZBELSKY SUICIDE BOMBER
WHY THE RIGHT WING OF JUDAISM WILL SELF-DESTRUCT!

The major advances in medicine, science, electronic technology, information technology and the judgment of history will prove over the next decade or two that fanaticism without intellect can not persevere in Judaism. The utter self destruction of the Arabs by themselves is cause for us to be reflective on the eventual Haredi self-destruction. Ultimately the only ingredient of a suicide bombers' makeup is faith in a myth. Not life, not reality, but belief in their insane leaders and their violent rhetoric, and martyrdom for the greater good or their cause.
If Haredi Judaism can only exist and sustain itself through blind faith and trust in their fanatical leaders, Haredism will collapse over the coming decades. I believe we can expect to see over the next decades the following:
Metziza B'peh will have caused untold amount of deaths and illness in babies subjected to this practice.
Technology will have permeated nearly every home and business via the telephones, computers, radios and other forms of mass communication unimaginable today.
Science will confirm convincingly that the planet Earth is billions of years old and "man" lived 100,000 plus years ago.
History will once again have demonstrated that appeasement of the enemy will put Israel on the brink of destruction. The only option for Israel to survive as a viable Jewish state is to destroy their enemies that threaten their existence.
In order for Judaism to survive it will have to have created a viable Yiddishkeit through yirah m'ahava the love of God through love not fear of a bogeyman, that will punish you for every real, imagined or manufactured sin. As the unequivocal truth of an old universe seeps in to the Haredi mainstream, as the medical evidence will certainly demonstrate that metziza b'peh is a potential danger to the child if the mohel is infected; the Haredi created Judaism, the one that befuddles the truths, the myth of the incompatibility of Torah and science and medicine (selectively), will be exposed as the fraud that it has become.
When very old men or men without any knowledge of the facts, or men who make a very ruthless calculated decision, that it's OK to lose some babies to metziza, than have a government capable of monitoring their rituals, the destruction of emunah to the masses will be geometric. The narrow minded, and the wicked and ignorant will be responsible, only then will it be too late.
Judging by the thousands of e-mails I have received since the Torah Temimah sanctioned molestation of children; who chose viciously to rather hush it up by the Scheinbergs and the Belskys than deal with it, thousands have strayed from the emunah pshuta, that our rabbonim are anshe emes, men of God. Add to the fact that nobody is presently dealing with the problem other than Rabbis Blau and Dratch in a meaningful way, the outrage is explosive! If this keeps up, which it very well may, Haredi Judaism will evaporate as a meaningful form of Judaism as Chabad is disintegrating into the global soup kitchen it has become.
The fascination with UOJ has become unreal. The anger, love, hate......is good, it has made most people passionate. The issues are on the table for the seeing person to see. There are hundreds of Jewish sites, maybe thousands, why come here? Why the dastardly attempt to destroy UOJ? Why permit lashon hara and motzei shem ra, when you're willing to cover for a molester by using a corrupt and evil person and a bogus bais din to issue a hazmana to a person accused of spreading rumors? How evil does one get under the disguise of halacha? How corrupt does one have to be for it to become so transparent that he should be physically removed from his position if necessary? I'm not condoning violence, I'm asking a simple question. HOW CORRUPT IS CORRUPT FOR YOU TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?
The sad answer is that present Haredi Judaism can not pass self scrutiny. It can survive ONLY in ghettos and Bin-Laden style caves. The doctrine of gedolim infallibility is paramount, no matter how bizarre; that they are willing to destroy you, me, anyone and everyone that does not buy into that notion of incredible stupidity. Even my greatest critics on the historical fact that R' Elchonon chose death over the fear of the treifena medina America, will concede that he did make a mistake. Infallible? Hardly!
So what I've attempted to do, often times in a rude and crude manner, is to make the Torah and the rabbonim transparent. I intentionally write in a manner to create controversy and passion, no regrets whatsoever. How else was I going to capture the attention of hundreds of thousands of comatose Jews. Ani maamin b'emunah shleima, I believe with full faith, that Torah and science is reconcilable, that medicine and ritual practice can be compatible, that the Internet can be used for good and bad, just like money can. Did anyone recently attend an asifa banning the use of money? Yes, we can believe all this and not be an Apikorus!
The untoward facts are that truly observant Jews are decreasing in numbers. Poverty, ignorance, nonsensical and deadly dogma, corrupt leadership, are all contributing factors. Regardless of how many babies are being produced, children and adults DO NOT want to be impoverished intellectually or financially.
The rabbinical terrorists and their suicide bombers plan to destroy your way of life. Do you have the brains and the guts to fight them now or are you willing to see Yiddishkeit self-destruct under the falsehoods and voodoo Judaism led by these Jewish Fascists in beards and black clothing?
Choose life as Rabbi Michoel Ber Weissmandel zt"l did...Judaism is life, the living Torah, not the poisonous distortions of Pinchos Scheinberg and Yisroel Belsky and their gang of Torah perverters!

Blessed With Children?
By Viva Hammer
The story is told of an Orthodox man who stepped onto a bus in Jerusalem, eight children in tow. The bus driver, frustrated by all the chaos, barked out at him, "Why didn't you just leave half your kids at home?" The man paused and then answered, "I did."
It may seem that the Orthodox have been blessed with high fertility since time immemorial, but, at least in America, this has not always been the case. The latest National Jewish Population Survey data shows that although Orthodox women in their 40s have, on average, double the number of children of their Reform and Conservative counterparts, Jewish women older than 60 have fairly similar family sizes in all three denominations.
This presents a conundrum: Why are both Modern and ultra-Orthodox women who have one or two siblings choosing to have four, six or eight children of their own? And why are they doing so in an era in which all other Jewish women are having fewer children than their mothers?
Interviews with a range of Orthodox women around the world point to a number of possible explanations. Today, not only are Orthodox women more observant than their counterparts in other branches of Judaism, but they also are more observant than their own mothers. This "frumming out" of the younger generation expressed itself in many different ways, but chief among them is raising more children.
Mothers in the yeshiva world told me that they believe a woman's role is to have "baby after baby," just like their husbands' role is to learn "page after page of Gemara." In a novel adaptation of the term used for service in the Temple in Jerusalem, some women said that childbearing has become women's avodah, their "spiritual work." "The more [children] you have, the more your avodah; the more your ego is challenged, the more you're forced to surrender," explained Danielle Zucker, 39, a South African immigrant to the United States and a mother of five. For her, learning to parent a large clan is her service to God, and it makes her a better, more spiritually connected person.
Some emphasize the growing social and economic stability of the American Orthodox community as a catalyst for the Orthodox baby boom. After World War II, American Orthodoxy was made up in good part by Holocaust survivors and immigrants who were, in Leah Fine's words, "mentally, physically, emotionally" weakened by their experiences. Fine, 42, who has lived all her life in Brooklyn, explains that although her mother only had five children, she herself had the "privilege" of raising 10 because "our parents gave us everything."
Growing families today have grandparents to cushion them through rough times; those grandparents often did not have the same comfort when they were young. Becoming the founders of big, thriving families is a triumph for a generation of whom most have lived through some combination of depression, war and mass resettling. Their generosity means that their children can have, in the words of Keren Shahar, 37, who grew up in Manhattan, a "more laid-back attitude" about finances. She believes that in deciding to have her five children, there was less self-asking about "Can we provide for all of them?" She figures that her parents "could always help out."
For some couples, the Holocaust is the touchstone in family-size decisions. "How did the third child come about in our family?" asked Kim Feldman, 35, of Cedarhurst, Long Island. "We wanted to do more than just the minimum in the obligation to procreate, also to replace some of what was lost, because my father is a survivor." For Lynn Stein, a professor of psychology in her 50s, the Holocaust wasn't a direct motivation to bear her 11 children. But as she said, having had lots of children gives her a "good feeling," a means of "getting back at the people who did the genocide."
The question of why more of the Orthodox have responded to the Holocaust by having "replacement" children than the other denominations is a complex one. Orthodoxy was particularly ravaged during World War II, losing all its centers of higher learning, hundreds of Hasidic courts and an entire way of life. Indeed, immediately after the war, American Jewish sociologists predicted that Orthodoxy would disappear. High fertility is a nay-say to both of these threats of imminent death, a reaction not directly relevant to the other denominations.
Backup is a critical linchpin in the Orthodox fertility story. Orthodox communities are geographically tight because members need to be able to walk to synagogue on the Sabbath. This means that a neighbor is more likely to be someone you know well and whose values you share. Women will speak of sharing maternity clothes, equipment and baby sitting with friends, and calling on them to pinch-hit a carpool ride to sports practice.
But the Orthodox community structure to support large families is stronger than these small gestures. After a new baby is born, the family of the newborn will receive meals for a week or two, and the mother may even be able to convalesce at no cost at a maternity "spa." Such an institution runs year round in the Seagate area of Brooklyn. Women come for a week or two after childbirth to rest and bond with their babies without having to tend to the crowd at home, as well.
Tuition at Orthodox day schools is generally lower than at other denominations' schools, and greater assistance is available to those who cannot afford to meet their educational obligations. An intricate web of gemachs — benevolent societies — provides everything from interest-free loans to job training to family counseling. An all-encompassing welfare net makes the Orthodox's risk of bringing children into the world much less than that of the regular American Jewish family.
What of the future? Will the daughters of the dream continue to be inspired by the childbearing ideals that motivated their mothers? Rumblings of change are already in the air, as certain Modern Orthodox parents on Long Island are considering breaking a taboo and moving their children from Jewish day schools to public schools because of mounting tuition bills. Financial constraints are hitting first, but emotional ones are just as important. Zucker said she always fantasized about a big, warm Sabbath table, but she never imagined the bedlam on Sunday night! Another woman said she dreamed of having 10, a minyan, but she has found that "between the ideal and real... you have to have broad shoulders and rings under your eyes." Will the children born of the Orthodox baby boom be prepared to sacrifice as their mothers did?
Everywhere, the message of the outside world seeps in: certainly into the Modern Orthodox enclaves, and even into the right wing. And the message is, only a family that has a couple of children can live a civilized life, as we define it today, with private schooling, extracurricular activities, camp, a year in Israel, college, weddings. Will the Orthodox be part of this civilization, or will they continue to live different kinds of lives — one clan alone crowding out a city bus — even if half of them remain at home?!

A HAREDI RAV ON AUTHENTIC DAAS TORAH AND HIS VIEW ON THE DISGRACE THAT IS YISROEL BELSKY ------------TUVYA IS CHAIM NEUHOFF

DAAS TORAH WEIGHS IN ON RABBI YISROEL BELSKY
It has recently come to light that the anti-UOJ Blog known as Tuvya is endorsed and encouraged by Rabbi Yisroel Belsky. The rationale for the endorsement is that UOJ is Mevazeh Gedolim and is, therefore, worthy of scorn and contempt. Just for the record, I have made it clear that I do not endorse UOJ’s conduct in that regard and have publicly exhorted him to do Teshuvah. Not only because it is required Halachically but because it will strengthen the campaign and remove an unnecessary distraction.
Notwithstanding the above, I believe Rabbi Yisroel Belsky’s conduct in this entire affair needs to be carefully examined.
By way of preface, the Chazon Ish writes that when it comes to examining the conduct of Gedolei Yisroel there is no Issur of Loshon Horoh. The Chazon Ish explains that when it comes to Gedolei Yisroel, Klal Yisroel needs its Gedolim just like an ordinary individual might need a plumber or a tailor. Just like Lashon Harah is Muttar Litoleles when discussing a tradesman so too it is Muttar when examining the conduct of Gedolim. In other words, if somebody otherwise reputed to be a Gadol is behaving inappropriately, Klal Yisroel has a need to know since it affects his status as a Gadol and thus how the Klal should treat him. There is certainly no shortage of examples of people who one part of Klal Yisroel revered as a Gadol whereas others did not and were not shy in stating that. Such conduct is not only permitted but required, since the failure to advise that someone is not considered a Gadol will inevitably result in people following his erroneous path.
As far as the standard by which we are supposed to judge our Gedolim and Rabbeim, this is set forth in the well known Halacha with respect to a Rav She-eino Hugoon (A Rabbi who is deemed unfit and one is not permitted to learn Torah from him), Im Harav Domeh Limalach Hashem Tzevakos Tivakshoo Toirah Mipeehoo V’im Lav Al Tivakshoo Toirah Mepeehoo. (If the Rabbi is similar to an angel seek Torah from him but if not do not seek Torah from him.) The analogy of a Malach (angel) is explained that a Malach can also be defined as a Shaliach (messenger). A true messenger has no agenda other than fulfilling the mission of his master. If it appears however, that a Rav is pursuing an agenda other than the will of Hashem, be it personal or otherwise, he is considered a Rav She-eino Hugoon and is disqualified from teaching Torah.
Rabbi Belsky is a personal friend of Yehuda Kolko and has been for forty years.
Rabbi Belsky was the Rav in Camp Agudah during Kolko’s tenure there. It is inconceivable that Rabbi Belsky was unaware of the numerous complaints lodged against Kolko during that period. In matter of fact we are aware that other rabbonim are prepared to testify when an action will be brought against Rabbi Belsky in bais din and or in secular court, that they are aware that Rabbi Belsky was informed numerous times that Kolko was molesting children.
Rabbi Belsky was present, although not as a Dayan, during testimony before a Bais Din panel in 1985 against Kolko, and heard the horrific testimony of numerous witnesses recounting how Kolko sexually abused children, all the while protesting that he was unaware of Kolko's behavior. Yet he chose to protect his friend Kolko and participated in the covering up of the many accusations made against Kolko and Margulies resulting in another 20 years of continued slaughter of innocent children.
Rabbi Belsky was present, although not as a Dayan, during testimony before a Bais Din panel in 1985 against Lipa Brenner, and heard the horrific testimony of numerous witnesses. Yet he chose to protect his friend Brenner and actively cover up the abuse of children in our community. When a devastated parent came crying to him several years later and informed Rabbi Belsky that his son was being molested by Brenner, Rabbi Belsky informed the parent in no uncertain terms that the boy was lying and that Brenner was innocent. After the parent was advised by friends to ignore Rabbi Belsky and to go to the police, a sting operation successfully caught Lipa Brenner. Lipa Brenner was charged with 14 counts of sodomy, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The sexual contact was alleged to have been committed over a three-year period until October 1995 (over 10 years after Rabbi Belsky protected this pedophile from prosecution in 1985.) Brenner agreed to plead guilty to one count of sodomy in the third degree, a Class E felony, in exchange for a sentence of five years' probation. Lipa Brenner is now a registered sex offender. Had Rabbi Belsky prevailed, Brenner would still be destroying children’s lives to this very day. Had Belsky not interfered in 1985, numerous children would have been spared a fate worse than death.
In February 2006, Rabbi Belsky sent a Hazmanah to Eli Greenwald for being Motzee Shem Ra on Kolko. When Eli immediately responded in writing that he would appear for a Din Torah before the RCA Bais Din, Rabbi Belsky abruptly dropped the matter.
Rabbi Belsky directed and encouraged the anti-UOJ blog to harass and abuse individuals involved in the campaign against Kolko.
In truth the facts above go way beyond the issue of Rav She-eino Hogun. There is a much more fundamental problem here. The Siman Moovhuk of a Yid is Rachmanim Baishonim and Gomlei Chasodim. When a Jewish child tells horrifying molestation stories how can anybody with a Jewish heart not have Rachmonis on those Kinderlach? How can anybody with a Jewish soul not seek to protect future Jewish children from becoming victims Rachmunu Litzlan?
Rabbi Belsky’s conduct on the issue of child molestation is clearly not based on Halachic considerations. Any Rov who dares state that Halacha condones or protects Kolko or any other molester is nothing less than a Megaleh Ponim BaTorah Shelo Cihalacha Vuluv Neemar Ki Dvar Hashem Buzuh Umitzvusoi Haifar (One who perverts the Torah against Halacha, and upon whom it is said he has abused the name of Hashem and violated his commandments.) There is no greater Chillul Hashem than a Rov perverting Halacha to defend these evil doers. Chas Vesholom to say or even think such a thing.
Rabbi Belsky’s Negius in this situation should have caused him to recuse himself a long time ago as the Halacha requires of a Nogai Bidavar. His Negius has completely clouded his judgment and has caused him to do and say things that are against Halacha, against basic Mentschlichkeit and human decency and against everything that Yiddishkeit holds dear. Rabbi Belsky’s rulings and pronouncements on this matter are null and void, Botul Umevutal K’afra D’arah.
Those who rely on Rabbi Belsky’s rulings on this issue do so at their own peril. As Rav Chaim Brisker said “Nebach an Apikoirus is oich an Apoikurus”
Blindly following perverted manufactured Halacha is not a valid excuse. The Toirah never tells a Yid to stop thinking and as evidenced by many Mitzvos requiring a Yid to have Emunah and the like. Surely we have to listen to Gedoilim and Daas Toirah. Real Gedoilim and real Daas Toirah. Just as surely, the Toirah requires and expects us to be able to tell the difference between those that are real yirei Hashem and those that are not. Rabbi Belsky's conduct in this affair is painfully obvious. He has lost the right to be considered a Rav Umoraah Horoah B'Yisroel.

AUTHENTIC DAAS TORAH- A CHAREDI RAV'S OPINION
AUTHENTIC DAAS TORAH:
UOJ has done a tremendous Toivah to Klal Yisroel in exposing the evildoers in our midst and being Mekayaim the Mitzvah Dioiraisah of Ubearta Harah Mikirbecha. His whole campaign would have been Kidai even if he only prevented one Jewish child from being molested. Kol Hamikayaim Nefesh Achas Meyisroel Keiloo Kiyam Oilam Moleh. Nothing is more precious to us than our Heilige Kinderlach. On them Chazal say Al Tigoo Bimisheechoi Ibinveai Al Tareioo, do not touch my anointed ones and to my prophets do no harm, Ailoo Teenokos Shel Bais Rabun these are the children of the house of their teacher (cheder). Some explain this Chazal to mean that every Jewish child has the potential to be Moshiach. How careful must we be then with the development of every child? Where is the collective communal outrage at what has been allowed to go on here? What drug has placed us into such a stupor that nothing seems to wake us up even when the safety of our children is at stake?
This situation is nothing less than Pikuach Nefesh Mamesh and if some “unorthodox” methods were used to wake us up from our slumber so be it. Bimokom Chillul Hashem Ain Cholkin Kovod Lirav. And what a massive Chillul Hashem this has caused. What greater Chillul Hashem can there be than the destruction of our Heilige Kinderlach in the very place they are learning Toira? The secular media talking about us having a “catholic priest problem”? Oi Lieinaim Haroiois Vuznaim Hashomois Es Ailah. And this Chillul Hashem does not stop. Even after all this, Kolko is still allowed to be employed as sports director in Camp Silver Lake (the summer home of Yeshiva & Mesivta Torah Temimah and Lipa Margulies) and hang around in a bathing suit at Lake Compounce surrounded by our Heilige Kinderlach! Once again reported by the secular media.
We are witnessing an unprecedented type of Rishus that is beyond comprehension. Firstly, a Mossad entrusted with the care of Jewish children keeps a man on its staff for over thirty-five years and knowingly enables his destruction of countless Jewish children. This alone defies belief and understanding. But then, even after they are exposed to the entire world for the Rishus they have perpetrated against the Klal, and have caused a Chilul Hashem of untold proportion, they are still Oimid Bimerdum Ibirishum Bichul Hatoikef and insist and causing an even greater Chilul Hashem.
There are no words to explain such conduct.
We as a community must say Dai, enough, no more. Lipa Margulies must be immediately put out of business. This situation has come about because an Am-haaretz has been allowed to run a Yeshiva without Daas Toirah, without Middos and without Seichel. No one is a Baal Habos on the Toirah. Toirah is a valuable keepsake, a Peekudoin which has to be guarded and watched only by people who understand its real value. Those are real Talmeidai Chachomim who are Meyagaia Batorah Lishmah. Our keepsake has been hijacked by an individual who has no appreciation whatsoever for our real values but merely sees the Torah as a means for expanding his business interests, his fame and his glory. The result is before our eyes. Hashchoso of unprecedented proportion. And he has no compunction whatsoever about bringing down the entire Oilam Hatorah and Klal Yisroel together with him because it means nothing to him.
We will not let him do that.
Yeshiva Torah Temimah must be shut down right now. A Mossad that harbors a molester and is causing a massive Chilul Hashem in the process no longer has a right to continue as a Yeshiva. When the Russians tried to introduce secular studies to Volozhin the Netziv shut it down rather than adulterate the Torah. Volozhin, at that time, was the first Yeshiva in Europe, one of the only Yeshivas in existence and was certainly the most central and important Yeshiva in the Oilam Hatorah. Shutting down Volozhin was like shutting the Torah itself Chas Vesholom. But the Gedolei Yisroel felt that if the Torah cannot be learned Kitzoorusuh, Kmoi Shenitnah Biseenai Al Taharoas Hakodesh it’s better to shut it down. Yeshiva Torah Temimah is in that very Matzav right now. It may have done some good over the years, now its time to close its doors. Everybody in Klal Yisroel is Mechooyav to do everything they can to shut down this Moisad immediately. Especially the Talmeidai Chahchomim who are employed there, so they are not Chas Vesholem considered Machzeikei Yidei Oivrei Aveirah.

Yudi Kolko's Victim Cries..."He Took My Innocence Away’"
He Took My Innocence Away’
By Jennifer Friedlin-The Jewish Week
South Carolina man alleges Brooklyn rabbi sexually abused him 20 years ago; third accuser against Rabbi Kolko and Yeshiva Torah Temimah.
Jennifer Friedlin - Special To The Jewish Week
The alleged molestation did not begin immediately. In fact, it would take at least a year of priming Israel Tsatskis before Rabbi Yehuda Kolko allegedly started to sexually abuse the young boy.
The year was 1986 and Tsatskis, then a sixth grader at Yeshiva and Mesivta Torah Temimah in Flatbush, had suddenly become one of Rabbi Kolko’s favorite students in the school. Rabbi Kolko, then a teacher at the yeshiva, would call Tsatskis out of class to monitor his class or to do small errands, like make photocopies.
The attention felt good.
“I thought I was special because he was taking an interest in me,” Tsatskis recalled recently in a phone conversation.
Over time, however, Rabbi Kolko’s favoritism crossed the line and became abusive, Tsatskis alleges. Tsatskis says the molestation, which included fondling and groping of his genitals, continued until he completed the eighth grade and graduated middle school.
The scars, however, still remain.
“I hate that he took away my innocence. I blame so much on him,” said Tsatskis, a 31-year-old former U.S. Army soldier who lives in South Carolina.
Tsatskis is the third person to bring a lawsuit against Rabbi Kolko and the yeshiva for crimes he allegedly committed in the 1970s and ‘80s. His story took on a new resonance recently when Tsatskis went public in a court filing attaching his name to the claims against Rabbi Kolko; he had been referred to only as John Doe 3.
“The sexual abuse has caused Israel to suffer severe and permanent psychological, emotional and physical injuries and the inability to lead a normal life, as well as attendant economic losses,” according to the complaint. “Plaintiff’s injuries are persistent, permanent and debilitating in nature.”
Although the statute of limitations has expired for both a criminal and civil action, the plaintiffs hope that evidence of an alleged cover-up orchestrated by the head of the school, Rabbi Lipa Margulies, will enable them to proceed with the civil action.
Since the lawsuits were filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, Rabbi Kolko has been put on administrative leave. He has declined to comment on the allegations, while the yeshiva has denied any wrongdoing. Calls to Rabbi Kolko’s lawyer, Robert Mercurio, were not returned.
Recently, Rabbi Kolko was spotted chaperoning campers from Silver Lake Camp, Torah Temimah’s summer camp, at a Connecticut theme park, New York magazine reported this week. Avi Moskowitz, a lawyer for the yeshiva, told the magazine that Rabbi Kolko is not affiliated with the camp, but that “Obviously, the camp has no control over where he goes and what he does.”
Reached for comment Moscowitz told The Jewish Week that “[Rabbi Kolko] did not come on [the camp’s] behalf and wasn’t invited by us.”
Moscowitz maintained that the allegations against the yeshiva are “simply not true.” He added that he believes that the statute of limitations is such that the case should be dismissed.
Tsatskis said he decided to pursue his $10 million lawsuit against the rabbi and the school in order to try and regain a sense of control over the past and to encourage the fervently Orthodox community to which he once belonged to recognize that sexual abuse is a problem in need of attention.
“If the only thing that comes from this case is that the community wakes up and says, ‘this happens here,’ and that they stop it, I’ll be happy,” said Tsatskis.
The Tsatskis’ family ties to Rabbi Margulies go back generations to Hungary, where Israel’s grandfather knew him. So, years ago, when the Tsatskis family was looking for a school for their young son, the grandfather recommended his friend’s yeshiva. Rabbi Kolko was Tsatskis’ first-grade teacher. But the alleged trouble began several years later.
Throughout his early elementary school years, Tsatskis said he was a good student, but a bit of a loner. By sixth grade, he was having more trouble academically and his grades started to slip. His relationship with his parents was also growing strained. At that point Tsatskis says that Rabbi Kolko began taking a personal interest in his life. Tsatskis, meanwhile, started to see Rabbi Kolko as someone he could trust and confide in.
“I didn’t have a bad home or upbringing,” Tsatskis said. “But he was like my father away from home, like a big brother or an uncle. He would tell me I’m special and whenever there was a slight problem in my life he was the first one to take an interest.”
By the time Tsatskis entered the seventh grade, he said that Rabbi Kolko had his total trust. It was then that Rabbi Kolko allegedly began touching the boy inappropriately. Tsatskis said Rabbi Kolko would pull him from class and take him to his private office, where the rabbi would put his hands down the boy’s pants and fondle his genitals. On some occasions, Rabbi Kolko would follow Tsatskis to his private bathroom to “help” him buckle up his pants. Tsatskis said Rabbi Kolko would then grope him.
At the time, Tsatskis said that he had no sense that what Rabbi Kolko was doing was wrong. He blames this largely on the fact that neither the yeshiva nor his parents ever discussed the difference between appropriate and inappropriate sexual behavior.
“My son and daughter know more about which areas are private than I knew when I was 15,” said Tsatskis, referring to his 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. “I felt if this is what he’s doing it must be OK.”
However, by the time he was a teenager, Tsatskis’ behavior was getting more out of control, so much so that a psychologist recommended that the teen undergo intensive therapy. While Tsatskis was in treatment, the truth of the abuse emerged, he said.
Although he felt a sense of relief, Tsatskis said he never fully recovered from the damage of having been abused by a figure of communal authority and personal importance.
“Once I realized that what he did was wrong, my whole life came tumbling down,” said Tsatskis, noting that his parents had a hard time knowing how to deal with their son’s situation.
Because of behavioral problems, Tsatskis bounced around five high schools in four years. Throughout his teen years, he began hanging out with the wrong crowd. His faith in Judaism was shattered.
“If this guy would do this to me and he represents Judaism, then something was really wrong,” said Tsatskis, who is no longer observant.
After high school, Tsatskis said he did a series of odd jobs and bummed around before joining the U.S. Army as a medic at 24 to “get some control back.” That same year he also married a woman he had known from Brooklyn. The couple is now separated.
“I have acquaintances but relationships are hard for me,” Tsatskis said.
In fact, Tsatskis said that he has never felt as good as he did when Rabbi Kolko was showering attention on him. “It was the ultimate high,” Tsatskis said. “I felt important, distinguished from the class.”
He said his pull to Rabbi Kolko has remained so great over the years that he has gone back to Brooklyn on several occasions to try and visit him in an effort to recapture that feeling of importance. However, Tsatskis said that Rabbi Kolko always seems distracted and uninterested in speaking with him.
“I would continuously go back to him and he would reject me,” Tsatskis said. “It’s sort of like a woman in an abusive relationship. Why does she go back? Because she feels special. I long for that special feeling.”
Over the years, Tsatskis said he tried to recapture the feeling through other relationships, but nothing came close to the feeling Rabbi Kolko gave him.
“Throughout my life I needed attention and he filled the gap,” Tsatskis said.
To this day, Tsatskis says he is still confused by what happened and why it made him feel the way he did. If he had the chance, he said he would like to ask Rabbi Kolko, “Why me? What was it about me? Why not any of the other 60 kids?”

Accused Pedophile Rabbi Still Go-Carting
Accused Pedophile Rabbi Still Go-Carting
Many boys nearby.

New York Magazine
Rabbi Yehuda Kolko continues chaperoning kids. The Orthodox Brooklyn rabbi named in two sexual-abuse lawsuits was spotted on July 20 handing out tickets, driving a go-cart, and making arrangements with security at Lake Compounce, a family theme park in Connecticut that he’d rented out in the past when he worked for a prominent Flatbush yeshiva and its upstate summer camp. A first-grade teacher at Yeshiva Torah Temimah for four decades, Kolko stands accused in civil court of molesting three boys in the seventies and eighties; the charges are too old to make the criminal statute of limitations, but the school and its summer camp, Silver Lake, still suspended Kolko in May. “Everyone was shocked that he showed his face there,” says an eyewitness. “His sons were all around him, making sure no one started anything up.” The yeshiva’s attorney, Avi Moskowitz, maintains that Kolko has nothing to do with Camp Silver Lake and that he was not in charge of the July 20 event. “Obviously, the camp has no control over where he goes and what he does,” Moskowitz says. But sex-abuse plaintiff David Framowitz is confounded: “He’s walking around kids in bathing suits. Nothing has changed. All of those kids are potential victims, and everyone’s been warned.”

" I AM CONSTANTLY BOTHERED WITH YOUR RIDICULE OF CHACHOMIM"
Published With Permission
UOJ,
I was thinking about writing the following for a while and, trust me, it has nothing to do with Tuvya. I know what his agenda is. I believe that it is my responsibility as a person committed to truth to air my thoughts. I hope that you will take my comments in the way that they are intended to be delivered. Please bear with me as this may be long.
The work that you have done to fight molesters is commendable. We need change and parents need to step up to the plate. I don't know if it will ever happen, but I am trying.
I am constantly bothered, though, by the following on your blog (this will not be new to you) and would appreciate a heartfelt response in a non-UOJ manner:
Ridicule of chachomim such as Rav Kaduri, The Baal Shem Tov, others and Kabbalah in general. I did not grow up in a world of Chassidus. Viewing the culture from the outside, it is certainly different than what I am accustomed to. However, some time ago I took up a serious study of Chassidus and Kabbalah in general - both from Jewish and historical sources. My thoughts and views have evolved since then. The Baal Shem Tov was a great leader. We do not know whether some of the stories are true or not, but we do know that his main talmid was the Maggid, a Talmid of the Pnei Yehoshua - a man of great organizational ability. He was a "Litvak" and fell for the Baal Shem. Many other learned individuals did as well. The Baal HaTanya was a major Talmid Chocom who compiled the Shulchan Aruch HaRav - a work of great accomplishment. True, the Gra had many issues with Chassidus - a big theological issue was the machlokes on "tzimtzum" with the Gra rejecting the Chassidic view as heretical and refusing to meet the Baal HaTanya. Also, there were chassidim who engaged in activities that were not sanctioned by their leaders. It is important to note that R' Chaim of Volozhin had a much softer attitude towards chassidim though his Nefesh Hachaim answered the philosophical and kabalistic approach offered by the Baal HaTanya.
One of the points of chassidus that you should like is that it was for the common folk - the leaders understood the people. There was a warmth and closeness that they didn't feel previously. Perhaps some of this is overstated by modern day historians, but apparently the common folk welcomed the movement with open arms. One of the fears that the Misnagdim had was that too much faith in one individual would be harmful. Perhaps we have seen this materialize to some degree today both in the chassidic and Yeshiva world. This doesn't de-legitimize the movement though.
Another point is that Kabbalah predated chassidus and stands independently of the movement. Putting aside the mystical element of Kabbalah, the core of kabbalah deals with the inner meaning of life and Yahadus. Pick up the Sefer Tomer Devorah by the Ramak in which he discusses how to emulate Hashem's thirteen midos. The kabbalists, through a deep understanding of the inner workings of the universe and cosmic reality, strived for a more meaningful existence.
How does this relate to the issue of molestation? Kabbalah discusses the soul, the neshama, at length. When I view the destruction of the soul that the molesters cause to the innocent victims, it causes me much pain. Our connection to G-D is through the soul - spirituality - and the molesters rob our innocent children of their spiritual nourishment. It goes without saying that these poor children are robbed of their emotional and physical growth as well.
It hurts when you disparage Rav Kaduri, etc. I was personally blessed by him and it was an unbelievable experience for me. I am not a big "bracha" person at all - believe me - but being in the presence of these great Tzadikim whose lives are pure, elevated and sanctified is very special indeed. We are not talking about Rabbonim who Chas V'Sholom would cover and enable for child molesters.
You have ridiculed other Rabbonim: I have no problem whatsoever publicly exposing any Rabbi who is complicit in covering up crimes against our children. You know that. But printing a list of "A, B and C Rabbonim was in poor taste - some names even made the list because of relatively minor indiscretions.
I do not believe that commenters using names of individuals (obviously phony aliases) should be allowed. While we all enjoy a quick laugh, it causes embarrassment. This is contradictory in nature to your goal of defending the innocent and weakest amongst us.
Rav Elchonon - Too harsh, even if there is some truth. I understand your disappointment and disillusionment. I really do. But think how Hashem would judge Rav Elchonon. This is what I referred to with the Sefer Tomer Devorah. Mah Hu Chanum... The ability of the kabbalists to try and reach almost G-Dly levels is amazing and, I think that it is important to consider that this is our purpose to judge compassionately even as we deal with all this disappointment, etc.
Language, etc.: Inappropriate language and humor should not be allowed. I understand that there is frustration out there and much of it is well-founded, but as mature adults we need to express ourselves a bit differently in a public forum - just as forcefully, but with different language.
I have written the above because I believe that you are very well-meaning and because I feel that I have gotten to know you a bit. It seems that you do your thing, but I really hope you will consider my words. Your blog would be just as effective and hard hitting without all of the extras that I have pointed out. What you have done is incredible, but, in my opinion, wrong is wrong. My points have nothing to do with the molestation issue. I believe that you are right on and have been correct on all your outings and have even shown tremendous restraint with Yeshivas such as Gerer and YOB.
All the best,
Eli Greenwald

My name is Michael Lesher-I've been devoting my legal efforts primarily to help abused children and parents who try to protect them
Published with permission granted by Michael Lesher
Dear UOJ:
My name is Michael Lesher, and I hope you've seen the recent spate of articles about my campaign to revive the case against Avrohom Mondrowitz. (New York Post, July 25; Village Voice, July 25; now the front page of Forward, July 28). I will be happy to forward to you any of these articles if you haven't yet seen them -- or you can get from the my web site, www.MichaelLesher.com, by going to the bottom of the "Press and Presentations" page and clicking on the relevant links.
I'm a ba'al t'shuva, a writer by preference and experience, also a lawyer, and (as you can see from the site) I've been devoting my legal efforts primarily to help abused children and parents who try to protect them -- but are getting a raw deal from the courts and/or the child welfare system. I'm co-author of From Madness to Mutiny: Why Mothers Are Running from the Family Courts -- and What Can Be Done about It (University Press of New England, 2005). I've written several articles and columns on child sex abuse, including child sex abuse in the Orthodox community. For the last eight years, I've made the Mondrowitz case one of my obsessions; I spent over two years fighting FOIA battles to get government documents that proved the Brooklyn D.A. had quietly allowed the case to wither, I've tried to get to the bottom of Mondrowitz's claims to have rabbinic support, I've even corresponded briefly with him. Now, after years of efforts during which I felt alone, I've been approached by four Mondrowitz victims in a few weeks, and I've been trying to use their voices -- and what I know -- to build a public outcry to ignite this case.
Why? First, because I suspect Mondrowitz may have abused as many as hundreds of children (who are now grown), most of them within the Orthodox community. Bringing him to justice could -- to the extent justice ever does -- heal a very large number of private wounds.
But I also believe it could heal public ones, for rarely has there been so heinous a case that suffered from so much PROVABLE mishandling on the part of the secular authorities. If they can be prodded into reopening the Mondrowitz case -- and I believe this is possible -- the truth that will emerge, I hope, is the story of a social and political crime. A crime all the uglier, I might add, because carried out against large numbers of a community's most helpless members -- in the name of the community.
I realize I'm writing a lot, and you probably have little time for this sort of thing. I write to you because I want to ask your help. I see that you've started a thread based on the recent Voice article. As a result of that article, Victim #4 has just called me. I am working for all such people free of charge for the sole objective of trying to bring this case to such brightly-lit, band-playing, rip-roaring public attention that no one, either in the Orthodox community or in public life in New York City, will be able to ignore it.
Could you let your bloggers know about me, let them know how eager I am to hear from more Mondrowitz victims, and make my contact information available to all? I can be emailed at mlesher@att.net, or through my web site (which I invite everyone to see to learn about me), MichaelLesher.com.
I know that there are many other abuse cases. But this is one of the unusual cases in my experiences (I've researched the case against Shlomo Hafner in great detail and know about some others, too) in which the existing legal criminal process (the man has been indicted, and as a fugitive could be tried at any time), the proven facts, the number of highly credible victims, and the stated (if disingenuous) position of the Brooklyn D.A. all make a prosecution possible. And if a prosecution really happens, I feel strongly that much more than a conviction against one man is likely. The trial and its accompanying publicity would likely bring to light a long history of inaction -- or active suppression of evidence -- on the part of important community "leaders." And that, I think, is where our interests likely intersect most decisively.
I apologize for the length of this note. Please let me know what you think. I'm new to blogging, but from what I've seen of your aims and your batting record, I'd like to be working with your aid.

"I accuse our Orthodoxy for sleeping the sleep of Choni Ha’maagil who slept seventy years. Orthodoxy sleeps, how much longer?"
I was not able to interview the alleged, accused UOJ tonight due to his schedule. He did agree to speak with me in length some time this week. In the few minutes that we did speak, he referred me to the article below, published in the 1930's. He suggested that I post it on my blog for the world to see. He made two quick points when I asked him why the Establishment "chose" to make him the big bad UOJ? He responded with the following, and I paraphrase in my own words:
1-He fairly recently aggressively challenged a renown posek about a psak that was ill-researched, totally incorrect as to the mechanics of the procedures involved, and reckless as to the potential huge financial losses to Orthodox Jews globally for no halachic reason. It took him months to get the posek to reverse himself and to publicize his error. This gentleman subsequently was interviewed by The Wall St. Journal and was harshly criticized by many Establishment rabbis for talking to the secular media.
2- This gentleman was a very outspoken advocate to the "Gedolim" on behalf of Rabbi Nosson Slifkin. He challenged the Gedolim/cherem signers, to reconcile R' Slifkin's views with the views of many prominent rabbonim including the Rambam. He did get one "Gadol" to admit that "perhaps" this matter/cherem should have been handled differently. He was so incensed that this young rabbi's life was in shambles (at the time-he is doing well now), that he considered publishing Rabbi Slifkin's writings at his own expense. His rav urged him not to go forward with those plans and he did not.
He obviously is well-connected with the Yeshiva Velt if he was able to accomplish the above. What is also obvious to me that he is now being threatened with "punishment" (he could care less) because he stepped out of line.
UOJ (the authentic one)
The following article appeared many years ago (April 20, 1923) in "Dos Yiddish Licht", founded by the saintly Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l for the purpose of strengthening the observance of mitzvos, and to arouse the public concerning kashrut of foods, which at that time was very neglected, and sadly is not any better in our day and age.
