Why People Can't Face the Truth about Obama (and other absolute failures)

 

The psychological processes which prevent people from facing facts when the unthinkable has become obvious can be explained by the models of social psychology called cognitive dissonance theory.

Cognitive dissonance is the mental stress and discomfort caused when important beliefs, attitudes or values, called cognitions, are inconsistent, conflicting or contradictory to each other. In the 1950s the psychologist Leon Festinger theorized that the mind spontaneously, continuously reduces cognitive dissonance to enable goal-directed functioning in a paradoxical, inconsistent, deceptive world. Festinger's discovery founded a rich tradition of research which has demonstrated how the mind resolves contradictions. It provides a powerful way to understand why people can't face what President Obama is doing to America.

Research has demonstrated countless times that cognitions do not have to be true to create dissonance, they just have to be believed. Barack Obama was elected to reduce the dissonance between the beliefs 'America is the land of the free', and the falsehoods 'America is still racist' and 'President Obama will go a long way to solving the problem of racism.' Because 'America is racist” is false, its corollaries are equally false. 'We must elect a black Democrat -- not black Republican -- because Republicans don't emphasize America is racist. Obama is fabulous, no need to know much about him, or whether he can lead the nation. He will make us feel better about ourselves'.

The antecedents of Barack Obama's hatred of America are now well understood. Obama was groomed from the womb to abhor this white majority, predominantly Christian free enterprise Republic. From his expatriate, capitalism-hating mother, from his alcoholic Communist father and his perv Communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, detesting America was in his mother's milk and the blood in his veins. But it was the murderous Bill Ayers who recognized in Obama a destructive potential greater than a million bombs cooked up in basements. Ayers concocted the poison cocktail called Barack Obama that everybody wanted to drink, but nobody wanted to taste first.

America is Barack Obama's prey. He is tearing America apart and feeding the pieces of her life to his foreign and domestic fellow travelers. He is not transforming the nation but terminating it. Even the most transformational administrations haven't enabled the murder of Americans by declared enemies, weakened the national defense, mocked the concerns, and dimmed the hopes of average Americans as this president has. Even the highly transformational Franklin Roosevelt did not return Nazi generals to the enemy during the war as Obama did in the Bergdahl swap. Roosevelt did not entertain and enrich Nazi bigwigs as Obama has the Muslim Brotherhood. Imagine Roosevelt facilitating German atom bomb research and enriching the Axis powers as Obama has in the Iran deal. No president has erased the nation's borders at land and sea as Obama in advertising inducements for an invasion from around the world. No president in American history has aided enemies, undermined the economy and derided the American people as the current commander-in-chief.

The immensity of Obama's disloyalty is key to why people cannot face the truth about him.

If the Obama election were going to reduce the dissonance he would have started his administration thusly: “As I have said, we are one nation, going forward together. Mine will be the first truly color-blind administration in American history. Every appointment I make will be based solely on qualifications and proven competence without reference to race.” Of course, this is the opposite of what Obama did. He fine-combed through America searching for scraps of racism. He strengthened the lie that America is a racist nation as cover for his destruction. Amongst innumerable examples: Attorney General Holder introduced the Obama administration by implying the white majority are all racists, built a DOJ whose foremost concern is racism, carried forward by Loretta Lynch, who just said a street strewn with American corpses murdered by Jihadi terrorists is a “wonderful” opportunity to fight racism.

America is racist, so illegals can enter unchecked. America is racist, destroy her free markets, send billions to nonwhite people as “warmist” reparations for her ill-gotten success. America is racist, empower and enrich her enemies like Iran. Barack Obama and his ilk experience zero cognitive dissonance regarding the contradictory beliefs 'America is about freedom' and 'America is racist'. They never believed that America or her Constitution are about freedom. They believe the incurably evil and racist America must be eliminated for the good of the world.

Before the mass denial of Obama's hatred is explained by dissonance theory, let's mention subdissonant Americans. Subdissonant Americans have no discomfort whether America is about freedom or racism because they are too intellectually limited, dumbed-down, or drugged out to care. If asked “Why does the sun shine?” a six-year-old will answer, “That is what the sun is 'post to do.” This is termed the moral explanation of concrete thinking. Based on IQ distribution, approximately 15% of the population do not think beyond the moral explanation, and do not recognize a president who isn't doing what he is supposed to do. Other subdissonant groups are those too ill educated or addicted to care about freedom or racism.

Festinger's induced-compliance paradigm of dissonance theory explains why black Americans may be the last group to face Obama's destructiveness -- because his policies have hurt them the most. In a famous experiment, people were instructed to lie to others and say a boring task was interesting. The induced-compliance paradigm found that people paid only $1 to lie convinced themselves they were telling the truth more than people paid $20 to tell the same lie! This counterintuitive effect has been replicated many times. People who received minimal external motivation for managing dissonance -- those paid the least -- produced stronger internal justifications to deny their actual experience. The underpaid believed their own lies better than those paid twenty times more. The overpaid say, “I'm in it for the money, period.” This is why many very wealthy people slug the colada in Obama's banana republic while the poorest blacks continue to justify the president, even as they get poorer.

Obama is destroying America overtly and covertly. By promoting policies which are normalizing harmful drugs, undermining the natural family, and generally promoting moral chaos he slyly increases the number of subdissonant Americans, people too ill or distracted to care. He has brainwashed or bought off virtually the entire government including the Republican establishment. A noble people who years ago would have resolved dissonance by believing in America's goodness and standing firm against tyranny no longer do.

The social psychologist Elliot Aronson advanced cognitive dissonance theory, further explaining why people can't face Obama's hatred and destruction. Aronson's self-concept model theorized the central purpose of dissonance reduction is to preserve positive self-image (I am a good person) and self-justification (I was right all along). Because so many Americans now have been convinced we are a racist nation, to maintain a positive self-image people cannot face the truth about Obama.

The loss of opportunities and the diminishing of hopes which Obama's policies have inflicted create a monumental need for self-justification among his supporters. “The president shows us America is still racist. We were right all along.” They have let go the truth that America is about freedom. No one knows how many still stand upon that truth, how many care, or if there are enough big lies left to elect Hillary.

Under Clinton's leadership, the State Department approved $165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation, according to an IBTimes analysis of State Department and foundation data. That figure -- derived from the three full fiscal years of Clinton’s term as Secretary of State (from October 2010 to September 2012) -- represented nearly double the value of American arms sales made to the those countries and approved by the State Department during the same period of President George W. Bush’s second term.

The Clinton-led State Department also authorized $151 billion of separate Pentagon-brokered deals for 16 of the countries that donated to the Clinton Foundation, resulting in a 143 percent increase in completed sales to those nations over the same time frame during the Bush administration. These extra sales were part of a broad increase in American military exports that accompanied Obama’s arrival in the White House. The 143 percent increase in U.S. arms sales to Clinton Foundation donors compares to an 80 percent increase in such sales to all countries over the same time period.

American defense contractors also donated to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state and in some cases made personal payments to Bill Clinton for speaking engagements. Such firms and their subsidiaries were listed as contractors in $163 billion worth of Pentagon-negotiated deals that were authorized by the Clinton State Department between 2009 and 2012.

The State Department formally approved these arms sales even as many of the deals enhanced the military power of countries ruled by authoritarian regimes whose human rights abuses had been criticized by the department. Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar all donated to the Clinton Foundation and also gained State Department clearance to buy caches of American-made weapons even as the department singled them out for a range of alleged ills, from corruption to restrictions on civil liberties to violent crackdowns against political opponents.  

Now, the IBTimes is back at it, with a look at the Clinton State Departments’ chemical arms sales to Middle Eastern governments who gave to Clinton family charities. Here’s more via IBTimes:

The Clinton-run State Department’s approval of chemical and biological exports to the Egyptian government increased in volume just as dollars flowed from Mubarak-linked entities into the coffers of Clinton family concerns. A group closely associated with the Mubarak government paid Bill Clinton a $250,000 speaking fee in 2010, less than 4 months before the Egyptian revolution began. In 2012, a firm with an ownership stake in the company that manufactured the tear gas reportedly used by Egyptian security forces against the uprising paid $100,000 to $250,000 for another Bill Clinton speech.

The approval of American chemical weapons sales to Egypt as Mubarak’s associates were stocking Clinton family interests with cash is but one example of a dynamic that prevailed though Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.

During the roughly two years of Arab Spring protests that confronted authoritarian governments with popular uprisings, Clinton’s State Department approved $66 million worth of so-called Category 14 exports -- defined as "toxicological agents, including chemical agents, biological agents and associated equipment" -- to nine Middle Eastern governments that either donated to the Clinton Foundation or whose affiliated groups paid Bill Clinton speaking fees.

That represented a 50 percent overall increase in such export approvals to the same countries over the two years prior to the Arab Spring, according to an International Business Times review of State Department documents. In the same time period, Arab countries that did not donate to the Clinton Foundation saw an overall decrease in their State Department approvals to purchase chemical and biological materials.

The reports released by Clinton's state department since 2010 disclose overall export numbers. For instance, in 2010, export authorizations to Egypt’s government for chemical and biological agents saw a one-year, 38 percent increase in the lead-up to the revolution against Mubarak’s government. That year, the Mubarak-aligned American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt paid Bill Clinton $250,000. Two close Mubarak allies were past presidents of the group, one of whom reportedly was sent to lobby Washington against a proposed resolution that would call on Mubarak to have free and fair elections.

In all, in the two years after Bill Clinton was paid by the Mubarak-aligned group -- and as uprisings against the Egyptian government swept the country -- the Clinton-led State Department backed a 12 percent increase in exports to Egypt in the biological and chemical agents category.

As discussed at length in these pages over the past several years, US foreign policy in Egypt has been a miserable failure. Washington — and Clinton specifically — were forced to reverse course on their support for Mubarak after the country "democratically" elected the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi. Egypt's honeymoon with democracy was short-lived however and Morsi, after an ill-fated attempt to grant himself "special" powers, was overthrown in a military coup. He was sentenced to death last month.

Some Clinton Foundation donors from the Middle East did not see an increase in authorizations for toxicological agents during the Arab Spring, but did see big increases earlier, soon after Clinton came into office in 2009. 

Algeria received just $2,110 worth of State Department authorizations in the chemical and biological weapons category in fiscal 2008. But the next fiscal year -- 80 percent of which was under Clinton’s tenure -- the country received more than $6 million worth of such Category 14 authorizations. Five-point-eight million dollars of the authorizations were for items classified as “tear gases and riot control agents.” The next year, the Algerian government gave the Clinton Foundation $500,000. Amid the Arab Spring revolts in 2011, Algerian security forces used tear gas on protesters in the capital.

Do not be surprised to see further revelations surface as the Presidential race heats up.

US foreign policy in the Middle East is notoriously fraught as Washington routinely seeks to support whichever regime seems most likely to advance America's narrowly construed, short-term interests. This dynamic is complicated further when the nation's top diplomat is also effectively in charge of an organization that accepts tens of millions in donations from the same governments with which the State Department conducts business.

The scene could hardly have been more bizarre: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's motorcade was pelted with rotten tomatoes and shoes as she was being driven to the opening of a U.S. Consulate General in the ancient Egyptian city of Alexandria.  The mob chanted "Monica, Monica" to taunt the former first lady with the name of the woman with whom President Bill Clinton told us "I did not have sexual relations."

Egyptian journalist Mohammed Wahby warned us back then that this affair could have dangerous ramifications in his part of the world.  Wahby told PBS's Jim Lehrer News Hour that Bill Clinton's scandal would inflame Islamists in his part of the world.  Clearly, it has had lasting repercussions.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's ostensible reason for being in Alexandria was to take part in the flag-raising ceremony for our Consulate General.  This is a disgrace.  Alexandria was once home to a flourishing Jewish community.  Jews flourish there no more.  Her symbolic presence there embodies everything wrong about this administration's foreign policy.

Until recently, it was hard to say that Hillary Clinton was the worst secretary of state in U.S. history.  After all, it was Sec. of State William Jennings Bryan who resigned in 1915 when President Wilson typed a too-one-sided note to Germany following the torpedoing of the Lusitania.  Bryan thought Germany was being ill-used by the dithering Woodrow Wilson.

Then there was Sec. of State Cyrus Vance.  He quit President Jimmy Carter's Cabinet in the wake of the failed effort to rescue our 52 hostages in Iran.  The crash of two helicopters and the deaths of a number of U.S. soldiers dashed the hopes of millions.  But Vance quit not because the rescue attempt failed.  He quit because it was made.

How can you top, or bottom, such egregious records?  Hillary Clinton has managed to do it.  

She hailed the election of Mohamed Morsi as Egypt's president.  This Muslim Brotherhood candidate has pledged to be president of all Egyptians.  Tell that to the Copts.  And the Evangelicals.  He doesn't consider them part of Egypt's polity.  Sharia is his program.  Jihad is his way.  For confirmation, consult the Muslim Brotherhood's own founding documents and its unswerving statements.

Madame Secretary is not just a disaster throughout the Mideast.  Her Russian policy has been a catastrophe.  She sternly warns the Russians (and the Chinese) that they "will pay a price" for their vetoes of U.N. sanctions against Syria's Alawite regime.

The old schoolyard taunt applies here.  "You and what army?"  This administration is headed toward sequestration of our defense budget.  The cuts envisioned will take America's army back to pre-Pearl Harbor strength.  The Navy will see more ships lost than at Pearl Harbor.

Clinton's toothless threats to make Russia pay a price must evoke laughter in the Kremlin.  

This is the same Russia to which she gave a pass with her infamous red "Reset" button in 2009.  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was not amused at her adolescent gesture.  He pointed out that she hadn't found the right Russian word for "reset" (it translated to "overcharge"), and the button was not even in Cyrillic characters.

Madame Secretary was only too happy to send ten Russian spies home in first class.  She didn't want to let anything disturb President Obama's "Hamburger Summit" with then-Russian President Dmitri Medvedev.  What an act of weakness!  And the Soviets -- er, excuse me, Russians -- would not be slow to feel the slack in our foreign policy line.

Under Hillary Clinton, we no longer have a "special relationship" with Great Britain. She has echoed Barack Obama's use of the Argentinian name for the Falkland Islands.  Britain had to go to war with the military junta that ruled Argentina in 1982 to protect the right of Falkland Islanders to self-determination.  President Ronald Reagan staunchly backed Britain and his stalwart ally, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.  But no more.  Madame Secretary refers to the Falklands as "Las Malvinas."  (At least she didn't compound the gaffe by calling them the Maldives, as Mr. Obama did!)

We recognize that our fellow Americans give Hillary Clinton high marks.  But that is doubtless attributable to buyers' remorse.  If only Hillary had been elected president, many feel, we might at least have Bill Clinton-era prosperity.

In her chosen field of foreign policy, however, Hillary Clinton has racked up a terrible record.  And it should not go without mention that she has pushed an agenda of abortion and homosexuality worldwide.  None of this makes Americans safer or more esteemed in the world.

Hillary Clinton Emails Show Rabid Anti-Israel Correspondence with Sidney Blumenthal

Maybe she was willfully blind to the direction her policies were heading or maybe she lacked the political courage to speak up, but the erosion in the U.S.-Israel relationship began on her watch. And since leaving office she — maybe the only figure in the country who could rally Democrats — has been silent while the administration publicly and through background leaks has berated the prime minister, widened the rift between the two countries and thrown concession after concession at the feet of Iran’s mullahs. She did not criticize the president for suggesting that killings of Jews in a French kosher market was “random” or speak out about the rising scourge of anti-Semitism in Europe. For all her concern about the plight of women and girls, neither in office or since leaving has she highlighted the plight of women, say, in Gaza or elsewhere. She was, however, happy to take millions for her foundation from governments that back Hamas (Qatar) and persecute women. Sorry, but she’s an enabler in Obama’s anti-Israel vendetta.

Hillary Clinton is second to none in evading responsibility, but on this the question is presented: Are Jewish voters going to hold her accountable for her actions, demand nothing of her in the campaign and still vote for her in overwhelming numbers? I suppose so, but it would be a delightful surprise if prominent Jewish supporters and leaders would speak up. It is only because they demand nothing that she feels free to do anything. Perhaps Martin O’Malley will run as the pro-Israel Democrat. (Might I suggest he and Harvey Weinstein talk?) When it comes to being a “friend of Israel,” Hillary Clinton is a fraud.

More than 500 haredi men enlist to IDF in last two weeks

Over the past two weeks some 550 haredi men have enlisted in the IDF for assignment in combat infantry units and various technical branches.Of the new recruits, 60 will go to the Tomer haredi company, a combat unit in the Givati Brigade, and 140 will go to the Netzah Yehudah battalion, another haredi combat unit. Other haredi enlistees are set to join technical units in the air force, navy, intelligence, technology and logistics, and teleprocessing corps.

An IDF source said the new intake of 60 recruits for the Tomer company is higher than the usual intake of 40, and this is due to frequent requests from soldiers in the young company, established in August 2014, to serve as officers. The source said that some 10 to 15 soldiers in each intake request to take the officers course, but since taking that many soldiers away from an active combat unit would not be feasible, the new intake was expanded to 60.

Several soldiers from Tomer are already in officers training, which will finish in four months, and they will then return to the haredi company to serve as commanders.

The source noted that for each intake to the Tomer company, there has been approximately 100 applicants. Those who are not able to join in one intake are asked to wait till the following draft for Tomer and given priority for it.

There are currently about 100 haredi soldiers from Tomer on operational duty in the Samaria region and another 150 in training, including the 60 who enlisted last week.

The source said that Tomer was designed specifically for mainstream haredi youth who had attended yeshiva and decided after several years of study to enlist in the IDF. All 60 new recruits are yeshiva graduates.

The Netzah Yehudah battalion takes men from a wider range of backgrounds within the haredi and religious communities, some from less conservative sectors of the ultra-Orthodox world but some also from the mainstream as well.

Applicants for Tomer who are still in yeshiva are rejected and told they can apply only once they have left, so as not to cause friction and opposition from the yeshiva deans and the haredi rabbinic leadership.

The source said that Tomer shows that there is a growing desire among mainstream haredi youth to perform combat roles. He added that the annual enlistment targets from the haredi sector for the year 2015, which for the IDF is July 2015 to June 2016, will be met and that in general efforts to draft haredi men into the IDF “are going in the right direction.”

It’s time to take away Obama’s weapons of mass distraction and expose his Trutherism for what it is. Islamic terrorism isn’t caused by a thousand different problems, conditions, conspiracies and excuses. It’s caused by Islam....

Gun control is the latest weapon of mass distraction.

Trutherism is taking root - it seeks a conspiracy or other reason for every terrorist act, except for Muslim terrorism.

Each and every act of Muslim terrorism is followed by a wave of denial.  The politicians who have done the most to cause the latest disaster are the eagerest to blame it on something, anything else.


The San Bernardino Muslim massacre was blamed on postpartum depression at CNN. Bill Nye blamed the latest Paris attacks on Global Warming. According to Hillary Clinton, Benghazi was a movie review with artillery. Islamic terrorism was blamed by the State Department on a lack of jobs, but Syed Farook had a good government job and his wife was the daughter of a wealthy family.


After rummaging through their big brass chest of excuses, Obama and his media allies have settled on gun control as their latest weapon of mass distraction. California has the toughest gun laws in the nation. Unlike Ted Kennedy, the terrorists weren’t on the no-fly list that has become the latest desperate meme of mass distraction. And, despite Obama’s claim in Paris that mass shootings don’t happen in other countries because of gun control magic, they most certainly do.

European gun control didn’t stop a Muslim mass shooting in Paris that killed 130 people. Syed Farook and Tasheen Malik had built pipe bombs. The latest attack in the UK involved a knife. So did quite a few in Jerusalem. The Boston Marathon massacre used fireworks and a pressure cooker. The Muslim mass murder of 3,000 people on 9/11 was carried out with box cutters.

If only we had some way to ban terrorists from buying pressure cookers, knives and box cutters.

Gun control is a distraction. A way to make something other than Islam into the problem that needs solving. If we banned guns, then the problem would be foreign policy. If we spent all our time working to aid Islamist political takeovers, then it would the weather. Obama has tried to aid Islamists and lower sea levels, so he has been reduced to blaming the inanimate objects of the latest terror attack.

 Denialists will ignore the allegiances of terrorists like Nidal Hassan and Syed Farook to Jihadists to focus on individual pathologies. If that doesn’t work, they’ll pull back to a planetary focus and blame the weather patterns of the entire planet. They’ll zoom in with great detail on weapons purchases while ignoring the ideology that motivated the attacks.

They’ll have a hundred different explanations for each attack that fail to account for the phenomenon of Islamic terrorism as a whole. These aren’t reasonable arguments. Taken together they form a pattern of conspiracy theories. The most basic aspect of the conspiracy theory is that it bypasses the obvious reasonable explanation and vanishes down a rabbit hole of complicated alternative explanations that make no real sense but allow the conspiracists to avoid dealing with the implications of the actual event that took place.

Leftists did not want to deal with the fact that JFK had been murdered by one of their own. So they invented a bunch of alternative conspiracies involving the CIA, Cubans and other “right-wing” villains. These conspiracies allowed them to avoid dealing with the violence at the heart of the left. But that violence continued to spill over anyway leading to riots and terror plots. In their alternate reality, none of it was their fault. The “Fall of Camelot” was caused by some “miasma of right-wing hatred” in Dallas.

Their response to 9/11 flirted with conspiracy theories. A poll found that more than half of Democrats believed that George W. Bush had carried out the 9/11 attacks or knew about them beforehand. 1 in 4 Democrats believed that the World Trade Center attack was staged. 1 in 5 believed that the Pentagon attack was carried out by the United States government.

Democratic politicians, with some exceptions, usually knew better than to openly air blatant 9/11 conspiracy theories.  But they instead embraced a “soft” left-wing Trutherism that shifted the focus away from Islamic terrorism to alternative explanations that were meant to distract Americans from what really happened by finding sideways angles for blaming the attack on Bush and Republicans. Bush may not have masterminded it, but Republican foreign policy caused it. Or worsened it.

It’s 2015 and the Terrorism Truthers have been reduced to frantically scrambling for any explanation from postpartum depression to the weather to explain the persistence of Islamic terrorism. Trutherism works best when the Truthers aren’t in power. Muslim terrorism can’t be blamed on the government when both France and America are run by ridiculously notorious leftists. All that’s left is a “soft” Trutherism that seeks alternative explanations without being able to consistently answer the central question of why these attacks are taking place.

And this lack of a plausible central conspirator is the weak point of leftist Terrorism Denial. Leftist Truthers like Obama are forced to constantly substitute new “right-wing” villains. Today it’s the NRA. Yesterday it was a Coptic Christian who made a YouTube video. But like the USSR’s efforts to blame its economic failures on a shifting gallery of villains, these explanations are unsatisfying. And they leave even leftists, never mind ordinary Americans, uneasy about a crisis they don’t understand.

But what if Muslim terrorists are attacking us because they’re Muslim terrorists?
There is something of Orwell’s “We have always been at war with Eastasia” to these deceits. Today Muslim terrorists are attacking us because of the NRA. Yesterday it was because it was too hot. Before that, it was because of Israel. And before that, it was because of Bush.
But what if Muslim terrorists are attacking us because they’re Muslim terrorists?

What if we can’t beat them by banning guns, changing the weather, supporting Islamists or any of the other magical answers that completely fall apart at even the most casual examination?

The left’s response to Islamic terrorism has been built around a frantic effort to distract and divert us from exactly that question, blaming anything and everything but Islam, while sharply denouncing anyone who ignores the distractions and addresses that central question.

Attorney General Lynch responded to the San Bernardino terror attack by assuring Islamists that she intended to crack down on criticism of Islam. Criticism of Islam is dangerous, not because it leads to a mythical anti-Muslim backlash that we are constantly warned about as if it were more dangerous than Muslim terrorism itself yet never actually materializes, but because it destroys Terrorist Trutherism.

If Islamic terrorism is the problem, then the left and the Democrats who handed over their party to it are guilty of ignoring, minimizing and lying about a serious problem. They have to go on lying, ignoring and minimizing, and even threatening to dump the First Amendment along with the Second, because they have long since become complicit in the crimes of their Islamist partner organizations.
Yesterday they blamed the weather. Today they’ll blame guns. Tomorrow, it’ll be something else.

We are always at war with Eastasia, unless it’s Eurasia. We are never however at war with Islam. The issue may be anything so long as it isn’t Muslim terrorism. Those are the words that no Democrat will utter. They will call it “man-caused disasters” or “violent extremism” or “hybrid workplace Jihad”. It’s time to call this what it is, denialism, trutherism and conspiracism.

The famous epigram, “Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason”, expressed the absurd hypocrisy of a government of traitors. But what happens when there is a government of conspiracy theorists? Then conspiracies exist to divert attention from the failures and crimes of those in charge. The conspiracy theory itself becomes the conspiracy.

It’s time to take away Obama’s weapons of mass distraction and expose his Trutherism for what it is. Islamic terrorism isn’t caused by a thousand different problems, conditions, conspiracies and excuses. It’s caused by Islam. Every attempt to distract from that is Denialism and Trutherism. And we owe it to the victims of the latest attack and all the attacks to end the denial and the lies.

Op-Ed: Nazis were German and Islamic-extremists are Muslim 

 

If in the 30s, if one said “Nazis are German,” no one meant “All Germans are Nazis.”  However, if you spoke about Nazis in the 30’s and 40’s, as Obama speaks about Islamist-extremists today, and said something like “Nazis are not Germans,” you would have been forcibly admitted into an insane asylum.  Or worse, in the 30’s, let alone the 40’s, imagine the President of the United States being so delusional that he refused to say “Nazis were Germans” because “We don’t want to insult all Germans” and because “We’re not at war with all of Germany.”

The “Nazis are not German” President would have been impeached and arrested as a traitor. 


Nowadays, Islamic-Extremist-terrorists are to Islam, what yesterday’s Nazis were to Germany.  In the 30’s, the Germans themselves, were the first, and last, line of defense to the Nazi hijacking all of Germany, and bringing all of Germany into a world war.  Today, the Muslims, themselves, are the first, and last, line of defense against Islamist-extremism hijacking Islam, and bringing all of Islam into a world war.  What’s worse, Obama’s and Clinton’s rhetoric “The terrorists are not Muslim” only gives Islam a total pass on trying to defeat Islamist-extremism from within Islam.  Instead of protecting Islam, Obama and Clinton are insuring Islamist-extremists hijack the entire world of Islam, just as the Nazis hijacked all of Germany.

Prominent Sunni Saudi journalist Abd Al-Rahman Al-Rashed, the former editor of  the London-based daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat and former director of Al-Arabiya TV,recently wrote an opinion-piece explicitly asserting today’s Muslim extremists are to Islam what Nazism was to Germany in the 30’s and 40’s.  If Muslims are writing that Islamist-Extremists are Nazis, why can’t I? Why can't my president?

Al-Rashed wrote:

“After Adolf Hitler committed suicide and following the burning of his body, the war’s winners did not just raise the flag of victory over Berlin but they also banned Nazi ideology. They prohibited teaching it or marketing it and also prevented those who are in any way related to it from practicing any social activities.

"Today’s extremist Islam is also fascist, and it resembles Nazism which is based on the concepts of discrimination and elimination. Like Nazism, extremist Islam is based on absolute loyalty to an ideology and to hatred and hostility against others, whether Muslims or not. If you want to eliminate al-Qaeda, ISIS and al-Nusra Front, you have to go after the ideology. Without doing so, we can expect the next century to be filled with anarchy and terrorism.”

My only small quibble with Al-Rashed is that he didn’t add the Shiite-Safavid-Nazi-Khomenei Regime of the “Islamic Republic of Iran” to his list of Islamic-Extremists.

At the core, there are several main reasons Obama’s absolution of “Islam” as an element of Islamic violence is the direct source of the current explosion of world Islamic terrorism and violence.

  The first reason is that Obama is, at heart, an anti-Colonialist-Islamic-Extremist himself who believes the only way Islam can eradicate all the vestiges of British-colonialism is to be extremist and unite as one Islamic Superpower.  Could anyone imagine the world class catastrophe had Obama succeeded in defeating Egypt's Sisi and Morsi were still in charge?

Sadly, Obama is the leader who bought the Islamic-extremists-anti-colonialist mantras, hook-line-and-sinker.  Obama is fighting an anti-colonialist bogeyman that doesn’t exist.  Britain left the Middle East decades ago.  Whatever democratic idea of governance the British left behind (i.e. Israel) is actually the only hope Islam has to defeat the Islamic-Extremists.

Ironically, Obama’s Islamophilic Islam-can-do-no-wrong psychosis has brought about the greatest ever mass-genocide of Muslims that the world has ever seen.  Obama green-lighted and rewarded the Iranian-Shiite-Islamic-extremists with a nuclear-deal that, in effect, validated all the other forms of Islamic extremism everywhere.  Everybody seems to want to crown a different Caliph or Ayatollah of the “real Islam.”

Consequently, all the different forms of Muslim extremism are not only at war with non-Muslims, they are at war with themselves.  Obama, and Obama alone, is responsible.  Not only did Obama openly validate and glorify Islamic-extremism, but he also opened the Pandora’s box of Islamic-extremist crazies, and let all the Islamic lunatics out of Gitmo.  Obama shouldn’t have gotten a Nobel Peace Prize, he should have been institutionalized.

But more darkly related to Obama’s enabling Islamist extremism is  Al-Rashed’s statement that "in the Middle East, our version of nationalist fascism is religious extremism, which is just as dangerous and destructive"…

After this disaster, the majority took it upon itself not to allow this extremist ideology to dominate in their societies. One can be religious, patriotic and nationalistic without being committed to eliminating others. We fear that we are at the beginning of the road to destruction in our region by allowing extremists to impose their agendas on society…


"Confronting these groups is everyone’s responsibility. Governments have major duties to fulfill, their core task being to provide protection from the evils of extremist groups that operate across borders…”

Obama and his government's repeated lunacy of publicly absolving and/or excusing Islam and/or divorcing Islam from any Islamic violence ensures that all the good, peaceful people in Islam are prevented from successfully weeding out the bad extremist people in Islam.  How can a well-meaning Muslim attack the violence of Islam if the President of the United States repeatedly says that violence and murders made in the name of Islam are not at all Islam’s fault?  In fact, if a well-meaning Muslim tries to expose any violent Islam in his mosque he will have Obama’s “Islam is a religion of Peace” thrown in his face.


The result of Obama’s “Islamic-Violence-has-nothing-to-do-with-Islam” is that good Muslims are afraid to denounce Islamic-terrorism because they are afraid they will be killed or their families will be killed.  Because of this, virtually no American Islamic religious figures condemned the Fort Hood Shootings, Boston Marathon Bombings, or the San Bernardino mass murders.  In fact, Obama has validated the Islamic-extremist ideology that “Islam is the victim.”

 

So, if Muslim leaders, and Muslims can’t publicly accept that Islamic-terror originates in Islam, and publicly rail against it, how can Muslims ever root out the Islamic-extremists in their mosques.  Obama’s lunacy of publicly absolving and/or excusing Islam and/or divorcing Islam from Islamic violence insures he has paralyzed all the good people in Islam from weeding out the bad people in Islam. He has guaranteed that all the “Adolf Hitler’s” of Islam will win, and will soon come to rule Islam as Hitler ruled Germany.   It is a tragedy that the President who has repeatedly pontificated “We will never be at war with Islam,” has, in reality, set an almost irreversible path to such a terrible war.

Over the years, John Hagee Ministries has given over $95 million in donations towards humanitarian efforts in Israel, cementing the strong bond between Christians and Jews. A the 2013 “Night to Honor Israel” event, John Hagee Ministries presented $2.7 million to 26 charities, and at the event in 2014, the organization gave $2.8 million to 26 charities. 

 This year’s donations represent a 12.5% increase over last year.

Orthodox Rabbis Issue Groundbreaking Declaration Affirming ‘Partnership’ With Christianity

A group of prominent Orthodox rabbis in Israel, the United States and Europe have issued a historic public statement affirming that Christianity is “the willed divine outcome and gift to the nations” and urging Jews and Christians to “work together as partners to address the moral challenges of our era.”

“Jesus brought a double goodness to the world,” the statement reads. “On the one hand he strengthened the Torah of Moses majestically” and on the other hand “he removed idols from the nations,” instilling them “firmly with moral traits.”

This year 2015 marks the 50^th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the declaration issued in 1965 by the Second Vatican Council, which marked a watershed in Jewish-Christian relations.

In language unusual for its day, Nostra Aetate stated that “God holds the Jews most dear,” stressed the great “spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews,” and condemned “hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism, directed against Jews at any time and by anyone.”

Now, a group of Jewish leaders has responded in kind, expressing their desire to accept “the hand offered to us by our Christian brothers and sisters.”

“Christians are congregations that work for the sake of heaven who are destined to endure, whose intent is for the sake of heaven and whose reward will not denied,” the text reads.

The statement bears the title, “To Do the Will of Our Father in Heaven: Toward a Partnership between Jews and Christians,” and is signed by over 25 prominent Orthodox rabbis, who invite fellow Orthodox rabbis to join in signing the statement.

“Now that the Catholic Church has acknowledged the eternal Covenant between G-d and Israel, we Jews can acknowledge the ongoing constructive validity of Christianity as our partner in world redemption, without any fear that this will be exploited for missionary purposes,” it says.

Echoing recent words by Pope Francis, the document states: “We are no longer enemies, but unequivocal partners in articulating the essential moral values for the survival and welfare of humanity.”

“Neither of us can achieve G-d’s mission in this world alone,” it says.

Antisemitism has many parents. Scholars of ancient civilizations have revealed the presence of a cultural antipathy towards Jews and their religion in Greco-Roman society. There is little question that some of the early Gentile converts to Christianity shared in this cultural bias. As Gentiles they also were not well acquainted with the internal life of the Jewish community at the time of Jesus. Hence they read many of the New Testament texts as condemnations of Judaism as such rather than internal quarrels which were commonplace within the Jewish community of the period.

Competition for converts and other factors led to an intensification of Jewish-Christian conflict towards the end of the first century even though there is evidence of continued Jewish-Christian interaction, including Christian participation in Sabbath worship, in some areas well beyond that. These conflicts had a negative impact on the writers of certain parts of the New Testament especially the author of the gospel of John which was compiled about this time. In several places John’s gospel associates “the Jews” with darkness and with the devil. This laid the groundwork for centuries of Christian characterization of Jews as agents of the devil, a characterization which found its way into medieval popular religion and eventually into passion plays.

In the second century and beyond, many of the principal Fathers of the Church began to write of Jews as a “rejected people” who were doomed to a life of marginality and misery. Jews were to wander the world as a “despised people.” This image persisted in Christian preaching, art and popular teaching for centuries to come. In certain countries it often led to civil and political discrimination against Jews and in some instances to physical attacks on Jews which resulted in death. While some Popes, bishops and Christian princes stepped up to protect Jews, they were clearly a minority. It was only in the mid-twentieth century that the Catholic Church and many Protestant denominations issued major statements repudiating this anti-Judaic theology and began a process of constructive Christian-Jewish interaction.

When the Nazis came on the scene in Germany they were able to draw upon the legacy of Christian anti-Judaism even though biologically-based antisemitism went well beyond classical Christian anti-Judaism by arguing for the annihilation of the Jews rather than only for their misery and marginality. Christian antisemitism provided an indispensable seedbed for the success of Nazism on the popular level. It led some Christians to embrace the Nazi ideology and many others to stand on the sidelines as masses of Jews were exterminated.

In the following pages noted Scripture scholar and theologian Gerard Sloyan has detailed in chronological fashion the “shadow” on the cross of Christianity. It does not make for pleasant reading. But it is a legacy that must be confronted with honesty and remorse. Knowledge of this history of antisemitism within the Christian churches is indispensable for any full understanding of the Holocaust.
