Israel's Supreme Court unanimously approved a petition Sunday by a rights group to suspend a controversial surveillance program aimed at tracking the movements of citizens suspected of carrying the coronavirus.

With the outbreak of WWI (1914), Leo was drafted into the Kaiser's army & stationed in occupied Lithuania. After Lithuanian independence, he served as head of schools in the Jewish Ministry of the new Republic.
A World War, years passed by & considerable distance did not extinguish the flame of love between Leo and Resi.
Leo rejected a Professorship to be active in Agudas Yisroel. He moved to Vienna, where he established a girls seminary.
Resi traveled to Vienna & married Leo to her father's dismay. As a result, the relationship between Resi & her family was cut off.
Leo is known for encouraging education & acquisitions of profession of Jewish girls ("Beis Yaakov", together with Sara Schenirer). As expected, he died of his illness in 1935 at age 56 (more than predicted), leaving Resi a young widow with no children.
On April 9, 1942, Resi was deported to Belzec / Sobibor & murdered, age 49.

Officials at big companies could be sent to the slammer for taking loans meant to help small businesses amid the coronavirus crisis.
Amid growing scrutiny of its $349 billion Paycheck Protection Program, the US Treasury Department on Thursday urged the dozens of publicly traded companies that got millions of dollars in government-backed loans to return the money within two weeks.
The warning came in new guidance saying public companies with “substantial market value and access to capital markets” would be unlikely to qualify for the program because they could not say “in good faith” that they needed the loans to keep operating amid the pandemic.
The feds said they’ll consider such companies to have acted in good faith if they repay their loans by May 7. But firms that keep the money could face steep consequences if officials find they broke the “good faith” rule.
Company reps could face up to 30 years in prison or a $1 million fine if they make false statements to a federally insured bank to get a guaranteed loan from the US Small Business Administration, which is administering the program, according to a federal rule published last week.

The US Treasury Department is cracking down with possible criminal charges against wealthy homeowners with a staff of nannies, housekeepers and chefs who unscrupulously applied for small-business bailout loans.
Sources exclusively tell Page Six that some moneyed owners of New York and Hamptons homes with a large staff, who previously registered their household under an independent company or LLC, often for tax reasons, had applied for PPP — government Paycheck Protection Program loans designed for relief to small businesses amid the economic hardship of the COVID-19 outbreak. The loans are designed to support smaller businesses with less than 500 employees, ranging from hair salons to restaurants, to help cover payroll and rent, and are forgivable under certain circumstances.
Hedge funds and private equity firms have already been ruled ineligible to receive PPP after a backlash that government aid may go to firms often run by billionaire founders.
A senior Treasury official told Page Six, “Household employers are ineligible from applying for loans through the Paycheck Protection Program under the CARES Act. The Interim Final Rule published by the Small Business Administration explicitly states, ‘The (Small Business) Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, determined that household employers are ineligible because they are not businesses,’” adding, “Household employers who apply and receive these funds — meant for small businesses suffering demonstrable harm due to the coronavirus outbreak — could face investigation and possible prosecution.”
